"Alright. But if it gets too bad we can head home." said Chick.
She headed out the door waiting for Critic to join her. She looked around a bit uneasy but saw no sign of the possesed toy or any of Ask That Guy's side to her relief. She took a sip of water and capped the bottle. She wasn't sure if she wanted to go back either but if Critic wanted to go she'd be there for him.

Critic nodded in agreement. He then walked out beside Chick and she admittedly seemed a tad uneasy. He wanted to put his arm around her but he didn't want to impose. Looking towards their destination he couldn't help but give a calm smile. He was having a nice day today... Despite the teddy ruxpin reunion

Chick nodded walking along with him until the reached the park. She smiled seeing a playground as she recognized it as one of the battles Spoony's group had fought upon. She smiled remembering the mother ordering them off so her daughter could play and laughed as she looked around.
"Never would have thought one of our greatest opponents would be an angry mother." said Chick.

"Just goes to show never mess with a mom... Ever" Critic laughed in return to that comment. He looked at the playground and sighed "Why were they fighting in a playground to begin with? That's just silly and I was in a peter pan musical reject costume" Critic smirked at that. He admittedly was still manly in it but after looking back he did look a tad silly

"I'm not really sure. But at least they had actual opponents. Aside from the witch we got a puppet, a voice, and a geek trapped in a book for 20 years. The witch was like the only real thread in our part of the quest. Still can't believe his name was Cat. How unoriginal." said Chick.
She laughed and resumed walking. There had been some good times during the quest. She wanted to remember them all, good and bad. She frowned remembering how many times they'd sent Ma-ti away. He had saved their lives and they'd treated him like crap most of the day sending him off for coffee, finding her contant lens, or inventing disorders. She only wished she could apologize to him somehow.
Soon she stopped realizing they were in an open field. The same place the gauntlet had been hidden, and where Ma-ti had died. A tear went down her cheek as she felt sad. She'd lost Nella once and had gotten her back. But there was no quasidemonic entity out there to revive Ma-ti. He was gone.
"I'm sorry Ma-ti. I'm sorry we were brushed you off, send you on wild good chases, all of it." she whispered.

Critic looked over to chick and put a arm around her in a understanding embrace. Like the chick, Critic felt guilty about the way Ma-Ti's last moments were. Sure the show made Ma-Ti useless but that didn't mean they had to. Ma-Ti was willing to do anything for them and they shrugged it off. Out of all the people in the team, Critic felt the blow the most. It showed but if anything Critic refused to let Chick feel the pain. He replied back softly "It's not your fault. I'm the one who should be sorry. I should've allowed him to stick around with us"

"I still feel guilty. We all treated him bad. He reminded me a lot of Nella. Only when she died she got possessed and became Dark Nella. I was able to stop her but now she's evil again. You know Ma-ti wasn't that bad in the brawl. After he got a gun anyway. When you think about it why did we tell him to go? None of us had any actual powers. If the ring worked on Malachite it could have worked on the Witch or maybe even the cloaks. Hey wait a minute. Wasn't Last Angry Geek one of the cloaks? He could have at least told us what was going on instead of attacking us." said Chick.

Critic still held on to Chick and listened to her and replied "Angry Geek's a douche. He never wants to talk about anything" He gave a sigh as he spoke again "Why did I ever let him be taken for grantite? He wasn't bad. It was that stupid TV show that made him that way. I should've ignored the judgement of that thing and just focus on Ma-Ti himself. I'm a idiot" He just closed his eyes tightly and thought of Ma-Ti. God he missed that Pop-tart

"It's not just your fault. We all shunned him. But we need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves. Now that Malchite's back we can finally avenge Ma-ti. We got to take him out before anyone else becomes his victims. And since Malachite came back maybe there's hope for Ma-ti. The Necromicron could still be out there. When this war's over we can go help you find it." said Chick.
She smiled trying to make him feel better. She knew they had to stop blaming themselves for what had happened. If Critic hadn't found the chain letter or used it Malachite would have used other groups. And without Ma-ti there he could have destroyed the world so indirectly they had saved it by taking Malachite's bait.

Critic smiled and nodded in agreement. Chick had a point but Critic felt better with her words. He just looked to her softly and smiled a bit as he replied "Yeah. Thanks. I would like that" This conversation alone was making him feel a bit better and more confident about himself.

Chick glanced at the area and began laughing thinking back to their quest.
"I still can't believe after all that work, going around fighting the witch, a puppet, Cloaks, a voice, and a geek from the 80s we ended up right back where we started. Well at least it was local. And not off in Egypt or Greece or something. Then again it wasn't found in 20 years. So hiding it in plain sight actually worked." said Chick.

The quest although a pain was a bit memorable and even funny to look back at. He gave a huge laugh and replied "I thought that witch warrior wasn't a real adversary... Boy did she scare the shit outta me" He laughed a bit more "I mean a lot of stuff was silly once you think about it"
Post by Nostalgia Chick on Mar 8, 2012 18:32:31 GMT -5
Chick nodded.
"Well she wasn't that much of an opponent. I mean she was beaten by pepper spray. And you know her voice sounded a lot like that stuffed bear who's mad at you. At least when she got scary." said Chick.
She smiled thinking of all the silly moments during the quest.
"Well fighting a puppet ranks on that list, and The Bum showing up for change. Gee that's three reviewers who showed up against us. Angry Geek, Suede, and The Bum. I wonder if any one else was part of that secret society." said Chick.

"Still remember that idiot bum. Change! You got change!" He mocked using Chester's exact voice before smirking. He then replied "Yeah, the weesing reject definitely fits in there. Angry Geek being there still confuses me" He scratched his head on that before looking at where he made his speech "My speech was a bit corny but kinda cool though I think"

"It was pretty good. I think was really fun was watching everyone get into character. Joe kept forgetting the last work of his line. Mother, sister, hamster.... and then he finally remembered it but called himself Amigo Toyota. And I think Paw and Phelous got too much into their roles." said Chick.
She smiled thinking back at all the funny moments of the quest.
"Can't believe Jaffers stalled Malachite for 20 years. Got to give him props for that. He hid the gauntlet and assembled a team to guard it. Although if they'd told us from the beginning Malachite was alive and after the thing we probably would have left it where it was. Or we could have found it sooner and maybe used it on him." said Chick.
