Awkward But True

[Nostalgia Chick]

Chick nodded standing up and followed him into town. She soon spotted a Starbucks heading to it. She paused realizing she left her purse back at the house. She searched her pockets and found a twenty dollar bill in her pocket. She turned to Critic.

"So you ready to head inside?" she asked.

[Nostalgia Critic]

"Sure why not?" Critic replied kindly, opening the door of Starbucks. He held the door and made space so Chick could go inside first. He gave a charming smile and both jokingly and politely he replied "Hey, Ladies first" He was tempted to give a laugh or wink at her but he felt that was too overthetop. So he settled for a big grin instead

Chick nodded as she walked in getting in line for a drink. It seemed pretty popular today. The line wasn't real long thankfully but there was a lot of people sitting in tables and chairs. She kind of wondered if there would be a table left to sit down in. Soon the line ordered their drinks rather quickly as Chick ordered a latte. She paid for it, putting her change back in her pocket. She stood to the side waiting for her drink to be finished and Critic to order as well.

Critic went over to the lady that got Chick's order. The woman gave Chick her latte then looked kindly to Critic "What can I get for you sir?"

"Large coffee with lots of cream please" Critic replied

"Right away sir" The woman replied quickly leaving.

Critic then looked around and finally in a small but noticable corner a table for two was there. Looking back to the lady who gave him his coffee, he paid for it and quickly looked to Chick. He said pointing a bit to the table "I think I see a free table for us over there"

Chick took her drink as she waited for Critic to order and get his own drink. She turned to see the empty table Critic was pointing to. She nodded and followed him over taking a seat and setting her latte on the table before taking a sip.

"Who'd have thought I'd be begging for normal? When this is over and our guests are back home I'll never complain of boredom again." said Chick.

She paused as she thought about it.

"Well not much anyway." said Chick.

She smiled taking another sip of her latte.

Sitting down, he nodded in agreement as he too drank a bit of his coffee. He chuckled "I was begging for more adventure myself... Then again dealing with shitty movies kinda was a adventure" He scoffed at himself "An adventure of how long would I last until I would finally decide to kill myself" He took another sip of his coffee at that remark

"Haven't you been killed in a lot of your reviews now? You're almost as bad as Phelous." joked Nostalgia Chick.

She laughed before taking a few sips of her latte.

"You know I just realized next month it will have been three years since we reviewed Fern Gully together. Time's flown by really quick huh." said Chick.

The joke Chick made actually made Critic laugh sincerely. He drank more of his coffee as he remembered the ferngully crossover and nodded "Yeah, it's been a long time. I still think the overly obnoxiousness of it still exists" Looking to Chick he nodded seriously as the subject of the three to four years they worked together since then "Time does flow by. Kinda sad really"

"Yeah. But at least there's not a Fern Gully 3 out there to review." said Nostalgia Chick.

She laughed taking another ship.

"So I heard your computer got messed up and it's delayed your videos. At least you have an excuse to not make them for now. But Linkara, Snob, Roses, and I will need to start making videos to not upset our fans. The last thing we need is a mob of angry fans storming into Chicago." said Chick.

[Nostalgia Critic]

Critic shivered at the mention of his computer having a virus. "Thank god for that. A lot of my fans don't mind but others keep telling me I'm lazy. I'm sure I'll get it fixed soon so I can work too" He took another sip of his coffee and then he breathed a bit "You know I actually like working. Despite having shitty movies to deal with it's work and that keeps my stress level somehow leveled"

Hey if we reviewed good films we'd soon have nothing to complain about." said Chick.

She smiled taking another sip before setting her cup down.

"Well have you heard from your brother? Does he know about what's going on?" she asked.

[Nostalgia Critic]

"Rob's in florida. With his wife. Really busy" Critic said in a somewhat disappointed tone that his brother wasn't here to help them out like he normally did. Looking back to Chick he replied "He does know what's going on... He doesn't really believe me" As he talked his hand very absentmindely but finally succeeded to actually touching Chick's hand

(OCC: I know I'm an ass )

(ooc: So have the urge to get her kidnapped by the other side. Just as the two are starting to connect. So maybe I'm worse. xd)

"Well at least he's out of harm's way. I'd hate for him to get snatched by Ask That Guy's crew like Nella was. I don't know if I'll get her back this time." said Chick.

When he put his hand on hers she didn't shove it away. She smiled which kind of shocked her. Normally she'd have shoved it away or made some snide comment. Maybe losing nella and this war had changed her.

"How are you holding up?"she asked.

(OCC: Oh god not only Morpheus and Splinter but Chick? Maybe we're being way too harsh on Critic now )

At that comment Critic gave a gentle smile "Yeah. Rob's safety is pretty good. I'd hate my own brother to be forced to beat me to a pulp" Critic couldn't help but smirk at the fact two brothers would maybe be forced to fight but then thinking about it it wasn't really funny. As his hand was on Chick's he still gave it a somewhat romantic but absentminded calming rub.

"Mommy I want a soda." said a voice.

"Of course dear. I'll have a coffee black with two creams and two sugars and a dr. pepper for my daughter." said the woman.

Nostalgia Chick looked up to see a young girl and her mother ordering. The young girl was squeezing the bear who was turned around to face the Critic and the Chick.

"Hi my name is Teddy Ruxpin. Can You and I be friends?" said the bear.

Nostalgia Chick smiled at the bear.

"Aww. What a cute toy." said Nostalgia Chick.
