Jasmine gasped hearing about her transformations. She was really glad Maleficent was on their side. It also reminded her of Jafar's ability to turn into a snake.
"You can transform yourself? Interesting. Jafar could do that as well. He turned into a snake. Later when he was a genie he could shapeshift into other people just like my genie friend. Jafar impersonated my briefly and fooled my castle guards into nearly killing my fiancee." said Jasmine.
She paused listening to Maleficent's question.
"Two of my friends back home are a genie and a magic carpet. The sorcerors usually don't attack us directly. They usually send their minions or cast a curse using a spell or an artifact. We end up destroying the artifacts or spells in time to save ourselves. The few rare times they attacked us we were able to outwit them. I fought Mozenrath myself after he kidnapped my fiancee. He wanted to drain Genie's power to make himself stronger. But Genie and I were able to free Aladdin and stop Mozenrath." said Jasmine.
She paused curiously at the first transformation she mentioned.
"What is a will of the wisp by the way? I haven't heard of it." said Jasmine.
“That’s what I said, isn’t it?” Maleficent replied, smiling coolly at her amazement. She listened as Jasmine described Jafar some more and found herself curious about the man. He seemed to be very like her.
“A magic carpet and a genie, you say? How very interesting. I’ve heard of such items myself, of course, but I’ve never actually come across them before. Where is it you found them, since you said Agrabah was as magic-poor as my own kingdom?”
Maleficent listened to Jasmine ask about what the will-o’-the-wisp was, and the fairy saw a wonderful opportunity to further demonstrate her powers. Her reply was not a verbal one – rather, it seemed that her body was beginning to fade until all that was left was a small, glowing green ball of light.

"After my latest suitor came to try to marry me I couldn't take it anymore. I wanted to marry someone I loved so I ran away from home. I took an apple and gave it to a hungry boy not used to the marketplace. The merchant grabbed me and nearly cut off my hand but Aladdin showed up and rescue me. We were chased by the guards and I was taken back home while Aladdin was arrested. He was a thief who'd stolen from people before." said Jasmine.
"Jafar later freed him and asked him to get the magic lamp from an enchanted cave. Apparently Aladdin was the only one who could enter. However, Aladdin's friend Abu, a monkey, tried to take one of the jewels down there and the cave began collapsing. They found the genie's lamp and the magic carpet, and tried to escape. Jafar doublecrossed them and they fell into the cave, but managed to steal the lamp back.
They freed the genie and Aladdin tricked him into getting a free wish out of the cave. He then used his first wish to become Prince Ali with elephants, servants, everything. I just thought he was like every other prince until we went on a magic carpet right at night. I soon figured out he was the same boy in the market place. He told me he'd always been a prince and was in disguise that day. I believed him but when we returned home Jafar ordered the guards to thrown him into the ocean. He escaped using his second wish.
Aladdin and I reunited as I decided to marry him but then we discovered Jafar had been hypnotizing my father for months. He got away and later stole Aladdin's lamp using his first wish to become sultan, and his second to become the most powerful sorceror in the world. He then banished Aladdin, Abu, and the magic Carpet to the end of the world, and enslaved my father and me. Aladdin showed up and I tried distracting Jafar but got trapped in an hour glass and nearly got buried in sand. Aladdin tricked Jafar into becoming a genie and trapped him inside his own lamp.
Our genie then sent him into the Cave of Wonders. Aladdin used his final wish to free genie and my father changed the law so we could marry. Jafar later came back but we were able to destroy him for good by throwing his lamp into lava destroying it and Jafar as well." said Jasmine.
She finished her story watching as Maleficent transformed into a small green glowing ball of light.
Having made her point, Maleficent was quick to change back to her natural form. The Arabian princess’s reactions to her displays had not yet ceased to amuse her.
“For one who has been around so much magic in her life, you still seemed quite fascinated by it,” the fairy observed.
Speaking of fascination, Maleficent found herself growing more intrigued by this Agrabah place by the minute. All those magical beings, and a sentient cave? It sounded like an interesting place, whereas Maleficent herself was the most interesting thing that there was back in her own kingdom. This wasn’t pride or vanity talking – it was simple fact. A green-skinned fairy with the ability to transform into a dragon wasn’t something that could be seen every day, after all.

"I led a normal life for 16 years and then suddenly Jafar's a sorcerer and fighting with Aladdin for a genie. I guess after a year I'd be used to the constant attacks by sorcerers or monsters. I guess I was just in a bit of denial hoping we could eventually go back to normal in my kingdom." said Jasmine.
She sighed wondering how they were doing with her disappearance. She hoped none of their enemies had taken advantage of the situation and attacked.
Maleficent nodded at Jasmine’s explanation. From the sound of it, the girl had been thrust into the world of magic and monsters rather than being born into it as she had been. It was a difficult transition to make, no matter how many bizarre things happened to her kingdom, this Agrabah.
The more Jasmine described where she had come from, the more it made Maleficent think of Stefan and Leah’s kingdom, adjacent to her own dark fortress. Namely of all the havoc she had wreaked on it, from instigating goblin raids to sending a plague of frost to destroy Flora’s precious flowers. She chuckled at the memories, feeling a strange rush of nostalgia.
(Fail. Also, do you think we should start bringing this to an end? You know, since it’s been six months since we started it?)

As she finished her story she saw Maleficent was listening and appeared to be thinking. Jasmine was curious about Maleficent's home. Did her kingdom have other sorcerers or monsters like Agrabah had that constantly attacked. She knew Maleficent had been the villain from her world but perhaps there had been others.
“Well, I suppose that’s a two-part question. My “kingdom”, as you call it, is just a small part of a larger kingdom ruled by King Stefan and Queen Leah. Their kingdom is for the most part a peaceful, prosperous place.”
The fairy scrunched up her nose.
“I don’t much care for that atmosphere, particularly when it’s given to those who don’t deserve it. A good deal of my time was spent trying to disrupt it.
“The kingdom over which I preside is, as I told you before, simply my own fortress perched atop the Forbidden Mountain. It’s populated by goblins, but they hardly make for good company, so I spent most of my time with Dia –”
Maleficent stopped cold halfway through her raven’s name, feeling as though a cold hand had started to squeeze (what was left of) her (blackened) heart.

Jasmine listened to her interested there was two kingdoms. Hers and Stephan, Leah, & Aurora's kingdom. When Maleficent stopped talking she realized something was bothering her.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset talking about your home. If you want to talk I'm a good listener. But we can always talk about something else if you want." said Jasmine.
Now she'd given Maleficent a way out. She knew she wasn't Maleficent's friend but they weren't enemies either. If Maleficent wanted to talk more about her home and this "Dia" she could. If not they could talk about something else.
Maleficent was quiet for a moment, silently debating the pros and cons of telling Jasmine about Diablo and his rather sad fate.
I might as well get it all out now. She’ll just find out from someone else if I keep silent.
And so with a small exhale, she began to speak.
“As I said, the goblins made for horrible company – much too dimwitted for my liking – so I spent almost all of my time with my pet raven, Diablo. Well, I called him my pet, but in reality, he was more of a… a friend, I guess you would say. We’d been together since my childhood days.
Then there came the night I fulfilled my curse, the night of my defeat. The Good Fairies were helping Phillip escape, and the goblins’ attempts to stop him were all nullified by their magic. Diablo tried to warn me, and one of the fairies, Merryweather, went after him. That didn’t stop Diablo – he just kept cawing and cawing until Merryweather… turned him to stone.”
Maleficent took a moment to collect herself, a mixture of rage and sorrow brewing within her.
“I came out onto my balcony and found him like that – his beak was still open from trying to alert me. It… wasn’t a pleasant moment.”

Jasmine heard the story and gasped in shock. A good fairy had turned a bird to stone? Sure he was practically Maleficent's second in command but still he wasn't much of a threat to the fairies. They could have just let him go.
"I'm sorry. I know what it's like to lose someone you care about. But if you died and ended up here then maybe he will too." said Jasmine.
She knew it was a slim chance but she wanted to make her feel better. Besides Patch's sister was here and Lilo and Nani were here. So maybe other family members and friends could show up here as well.
Maleficent doubted that. For one thing, she didn’t think Diablo could be technically classified as dead. It could be that he was still living but trapped inside that stone, unable to move or speak, only capable of seeing. It was a gruesome idea, and the fairy quickly banished it from her mind.
“I don’t think so,” she said quietly. “I seem to be the only one from my world here. Besides that, I was brought to Ask ThatGuy’s home when I came to this world. Since he was allied with me, wouldn’t he go there as well?”
Maleficent froze at the thought. Suppose she was right. Suppose Diablo was somehow tricked into believing that she had abandoned him. Suppose she had to fight against him.

"Well I don't know how that device that brought us here works. Maybe people get pulled out of the worlds at random. Someone from our worlds could walk through that door tomorrow or in a month. And if you died before you got brought here then surely Diablo could be returned as well." said Jasmine.
She was trying to make her feel better not sure if she was succeeding.
"If Diablo is here or shows up I'm sure he'll come to you. He sounds like a very loyal friend. It reminds me of Rajah. All I had was him and my father before I met Aladdin. If he shows up here I'll help you find him too." said Jasmine.
“It’s possible, I suppose,” Maleficent replied calmly, though she had little faith in that idea. Thus far, everyone who had been teleported to the Critic’s home had wound up fighting for him, and it appeared that only she and Grimhilde had declined to fight for Ask ThatGuy, even after arriving at his so-called House of Doom.
The fairy listened as Jasmine spoke of Diablo.
“Of course he would!” she said quickly, as though she had never had any doubt about it herself. “We’ve been allies for so long.”
Then Jasmine offered to help her find Diablo. For a few moments, all Maleficent could do was stare. She wasn’t offered help with anything often, particularly not from someone in as high a position as the Arabian princess was.
“Thank you,” she said once she had snapped back into reality. Her tone was stiff, as though she was unused to speaking those two particular words.

(ooc: I guess if we want to end this we can. I'm kind of running out of things for them to talk about. Or we could open it to more people. either way.)
Jasmine nodded glad to help.
"You're welcome. Maybe Linksano can build like a detector for us to know when others have arrived from other dimensions. That way we'll know if Diablo or anyone else shows up. It would come in handy if Ask That Guy gets more allies so we can be prepared." said Jasmine.
