To The Rescue

[Linkara]

Linkara rolled off Mechakara, pain in his face after the first kick. As he staggered up, he noticed DarkHeart standing. He hesitited for a moment, then mouthed to Maleficent "You take Mechakara and I'll take her." Then he raised a gun and attempted to shoot her.

(OCC, yeah, I'll go when Maleficent finishes up with Mechakara.)

[Mechakara]

Mechakara shook his head.

"They won. They took Patch, Chick, and Morpheus away. I'm not losing you too." said Mechakara.

He went to grab some tools to patch himself and Dark Heart up when Linkara entered the room aiming a gun at her. He stepped in front of her.

"Well done Linkara. You rescued your worthless friends. I never expected you to be able to pull it off. But now you don't have much time." said Mechakara.

He pulled out a device and pressed a button sending out a signal to Insano, Ask That Guy, and the rest of the villains.

"They'll back very shortly. But if you want to stay awhile and be our permanent guests I'd be happy to accommodate you." said Mechakara.

A flash of light formed into Malachite as Rodney and Terl appeared on separate tables unconscious. He then noticed Mechakara and Dark Heart looked really bad. He frowned as his magic had taken him longer to teleport back here in his weakened state. If he'd come back sooner maybe he'd have been more help. He staggered forwards to try to help but collapsed from exhaustion landing next to Rodney and Terl's tables.

Duke Nukem and Scar teleport onto beds while Dark Nella appears next to it. She frowned realizing they're both hurt. She'd teleported them here for backup not realizing they were hurt. She had healed her shoulder but she was tiring out herself.

"Leave us. While you still breathing." said Dark Nella.

[Linkara]

Linkara grinned, his confidence returning, as he watched the bad guys teleport in in pain. He turned to Maleficent "So, Maleficent-" he said with no small amount of sarcasm "-should we go home for tea, or take out these two robotic devils? Personally, I'm in preference of the latter." He shook his head, almost passing out, but still smirking at the robots.

Maleficent didn’t have time to gloat – Mechakara’s energy blast hit her square in the shoulder, knocking her back into the wall. She scowled and readily returned the fire, verbally this time.

“How impressive,” she drawled sarcastically. “You have a ring you can’t use and a voice that can be replaced.”

At least, Maleficent hoped that was the case. She hadn’t been able to so much as touch Ma-Ti’s ring without getting burnt, so it was hard to believe that other villains could, and she and Grimhilde would surely be able to find a way to give Chick her voice back.

A small, barely perceptible nod was given to Linkara, and the dark fairy fired another lightning bolt at the robot. The threat of reinforcements didn’t frighten her – Linkara had his teleporter, and she had her magic. Should something go wrong, they would be able to escape.

“Tea sounds lovely,” Maleficent played along. “But I’d much rather take care of them first.”

[Linkara]

"I guess we'll just have to teach them a lesson." Linkara cocked his gun and blasted at DarkHeart, expecting Maleficent to fight Mechakara. All anger he had against those two came out in his blasts of the gun.

[DarkHeart]

DarkHeart couldn't help but feel ashamed that even when injured, Mechakara was still determined to protect her. She immediately got up but had the magic gun right at her face and instantly a look of shock settled before Mechakara stood protectively in front of her. She put on her "game face" on and quickly got out one of her arm weapons. She knew Maleficent wanted Mechakara and Linkara was after her, well so be it. She didn't care if she died, Linkara would not have the satisfaction of her going out weakly. Plus, she would avenge the failure of the battle by fighting.

"Well well. If I was a fool I'd admire your courage Linkara. I should be intimidated considering what happened but on the contrary" She aimed the gun right at his chest "I'm more determined to kill you. Best part: Once you're out of my way and once I clear out of here. I'll have the utter pleasure of killing your precious IHeart" She used the threat to clear through the man's head so he could attack quickly and mess up somehow. She smirked and replied "So do you prefer to go home alive and well or do you prefer to die and leave your precious baby sister behind?"

[Linkara]

Linkara forced himself to calm down and not get angry. DarkHeart's speech, which he was sure she would try, would not get him to lose his temper "You know, one thing I'm glad Mechakara programmed was the ability to make a speech every time someone fights you. Lord knows what you do if anything happened in a stealth mission." And with that, he let loose another bunch of blasts at the robotic female.

[Mechakara]

Mechakara frowned seeing they weren't going to leave. He fired several blasts at Maleficent. If they weren't going to leave then he'd destroy them or die fighting.

"The only ones who'll be destroyed are you." said Mechakara.

Dark Nella tired fired blasts at both Linkara and Maleficent hoping to injure them or cause them to leave. She hoped the others came back soon. She needed time to recover after that last battle even if she didn't want to admit it.

Maleficent frowned at Linkara, noting how DarkHeart’s comments about IHeart seemed to be getting to him, and silently willed the comic reviewer not to lose his focus because of them. If his random blasting at the girl was any indication of how that was going to go, this wasn’t going to be the case.

Her attention was quickly recaptured by attacks on her, first by Mechakara, then Dark Nella. She was able to dodge Mechakara’s, but one sent by Dark Nella struck her in the already-injured soldier, sending pain coursing through her. Gritting her teeth behind pursed red lips, the dark fairy quickly shot a series of lightning bolts at Dark Nella and a cloud of frost at Mechakara, hoping to freeze him, even if only temporarily.

[Mechakara]

Dark Nella jumped in time doding the lightning bolts. Mechakara wasn't as quickly as he was covered in ice. Dark Nella found the ac and raised the room's temperature to defrost Mechakara. She hoped the increase in heat would make Maleficent and Linkara want to leave as well.

"Time to heat things up." said Dark Nella.

She threw a couple fireballs at Maleficent and followed it up with lightning bolts.

The increase in temperature was doing its effect and Mechakara's systems were doing the rest as he began to thaw. The process would take a few minutes and then he'd be free.

[Dr. Facilier]

"Let's tango!" Dr. Facilier snapped to Maleficent as he entered the room. He aimed his cane at her and proceeded to blast her. He smirked while he did so, feeling confident

Thrax, Raphael, Black Lantern Spoony and Insano all gathered around and aimed whatever their weapons had on the two heroes. BLS responded "Well well. You fools really think it best to deal with all of us?"

DarkHeart mentally swore, annoyed that Linkara's temper didn't flair yet. She dodged half of the blasts but one got her in the chest and she flailed back. Angrily she attempted to swat the magic gun away and choke Linkara. Her eyes were beeming red as she did so. However she stopped suddenly seeing her allies and smirked at them, right before continuing on with her plan to choke linkara

Maleficent was able to dodge Dark Nella’s fireballs and all but one of the lightning bolts, which struck her hip and briefly sent her colliding with the wall. She picked herself up quickly and was about to fire back at Dark Nella when a new voice caught her attention, one belonging to Dr. Facilier.

“Let’s tango!”

Once she had pulled herself together, Maleficent smirked at the witch doctor.

“Let’s.”

Lightning flew at Dr. Facilier, and by chance her gold eyes went to Linkara to see how he was faring against DarkHeart. Those same eyes widened in surprise when they saw how she was trying to choke him. The dark fairy raised her staff to try and stop her but was stopped by a blast from Facilier, which struck her dominant arm and, however temporarily, prevented her from coming to Linkara’s aid.

[Linkara]

Linkara felt the brief choke of DarkHeart's hand on his throat, but quickly decided to try and get out. He began flailing his arms around, trying to punch the android female anywhere in the face so she would let go.

[Mechakara]

Mechakara finally unfroze as he collapsed to the ground. Dark Nella walked over to him.

"You alright? We've still got trouble here." said Dark Nella.

She smiled seeing Dr. Facilier fighting against Maleficent.

"At least we got some reinforcements." said Dark Nella.

Mechakara nodded still a little cold. But the rising temperature was warming him quickly. He watched as Facilier fought Maleficent and Dark Heart fought Linkara. He collapsed onto a bed unable to fight anymore as his system started to try to repair itself so he could at least walk around.

Dark Nella frowned seeing Mechakara was out of the fight for the moment. She stood next to Mechakara deciding to defend him if Linkara or Maleficent decided to attack him.

[DarkHeart]

DarkHeart tightened her grip angerily. The champion her master was working so hard to kill would not escape this time. If she would die, so would he. That was until she saw mechakara collapse. The robot man fell down like a tree and something about it caused her to be distracted. She stopped looking at Linkara and saw only mechakara's unconcious body

"Mechakara!"

Wham! A fist flew into her face and the distraction caused her to let go. She then was in the same position as before, defenseless and weakening. She stood triumphantly and replied with her eyes glaring red. She said, giving a more darker edge to her normally metalic/human voice, she only stared calmly and hurtfully at him "You hurt him. You abused him. You treated him as nothing. Now you do the same to me, you have no regards but yourself. You call yourself a hero? You're nothing. You are just as self-asorbed as IHeart is if not more so"

Facilier not allowing maleficent any breathers, due to her resistance, attacked again with some more blasts. He made sure to keep a shield up in case she did choose to attack dirty. He turned to see DarkHeart somehow try to pull the same routine he did with ma-ti and only hoped it got to Linkara
