Regrets (90's Kid, Linkara)

[Linkara]

Linkara turned to Linksano as he mentioned the projects, the special projects, Linkara was relieved to be talking about the simplicity of it but it still felt like they were planning out the war. It was weird to live outside of it sometimes but the four were determined apparently to spend as much time as they could. Linkara patted the scientist's back and responded "You've done so much already, don't be so tough on yourself. Take your time" He continued eating and then was about to answer but 90's Kid interrupted once more.

90's kid just finished eating his small sandwich when Linksano suddenly asked what should they do after lunch. The surfer forgot about no shopping or places that required money and shouted "Dudes! Arcade! There's the new racer game I really wanted to try out!"

[Harvey Finevoice]

Harvey finished his food and grinned. He smiled agreeing with Linkara.

"Yeah. You've helped make awesome stuff. You helped create that temporary forcefield and have been upgrading the security systems. You've done more than enough Linksano." said Harvey.

He looked seeing 90's Kid's enthusiasm as he chuckled.

"He's like a kid in a candy store." said Harvey.

Harvey grinned tossing his food into the trash can taking his soda with him as he turned to the others.

"Well an arcade sounds fun. Let's do it." said Harvey.

Linksano smiled at them.

"Thanks guys. Guess I still have time to make up something new." said Linksano.

He chuckled as 90's Kid spotted an arcade and hearing Harvey's comment. He grinned.

"Alright. But did everyone bring enough money to play a few games?" said Linksano.

[Linkara]

Linkara laughed a bit when 90's Kid squeeled with joy when Linksano and Harvey both accepted that they could go to the arcade. Hearing Linksano's comment about fiancial services, Linkara checked to see he still had some quarters and dollars. Winking to Linksano, he turned to 90's Kid and responded "Good news 90's Kid, we can afford it too. Let's get going to the arcade before something else happens" He ate the rest of his food, put the empty things in the trash, then got ready with the others to go to the arcade.

90's Kid was actually happy that the others were amused with him, it was better than annoyance. Far better actually. They were finally acting like a unit. It felt more joyful to be around them now. They were getting closer apparently, due to the war having a toll in some way on them. 90's Kid let out a squeel of joy when Harvey agreed with him and squeeled again when Linksano agreed also. Linkara though made the child-like surfer especially happy, because they had money for it! 90's Kid pumped a fist in the air and said "Totally super! Radical! Let's go!" He then quickly walked away with the others to the arcade area.

[Harvey Finevoice]

Harvey grinned as he ran after 90's Kid grabbing one of the shooter games as he realized he had a few quarters in his pocket. He put them in and started playing.

Linksano chuckled as they both went over there. He turned to Linkara and chuckled.

"I suppose it's one way to spend an afternoon. But we'll probably be broke by the end of it." said Linksano.

He chuckled as he headed to a Pac-man game and decided to play it not seeing anything else he was interested in. As he put in some quarters and started playing.

[Linkara]

"Pretty much Linksano, but let's have some fun regardless" Linkara chuckled. He then saw Linksano go to a pacman game and Harvey to a shooter game. The leader felt very happy by this point, this was a time they finally could forget their problems and just react to life normally. He turned to 90's Kid who was getting ready to play a racing game. Linkara felt the need to hang out with 90's Kid a bit more, so Linkara went over and turned to 90's Kid, putting a quarter in for himself to play this game as a two-player. Linkara teased "Get ready to get schooled 90's Kid" He picked his car and waited for the surfer boy's answer

90's Kid felt so happy, the arcade was his favorite place to go. He went to the racing game, happy as can be and was about to play it one player but Linkara surprised him with joining in and playfully teasing him. 90's Kid honestly really liked Linkara joining him, so he gave a big grin and teased right back "No way bro, it's you who's about to get schooled. You'll be sent all the way back to high school by the time I'm done!" He then started the game, picked a car and the race started. Both him and Linkara raced on and it seemed to be that Linkara was winning so 90's Kid tried harder to win.

[Dr. Linksano/Wayne Schlumper]

Harvey chuckled as he got a good score. But he eventually gave up. It just didn't have the same fun being virtual. So he stood and watched Linkara and 90's Kid race. They were going pretty far. He grinned.

"Well I wonder who's going to win." said Harvey, grinning.

Linksano meanwhile had been playing Pac-man but he'd eventually lost. And this game was pretty popular so he stepped aside to let others play it. He smiled seeing 90's Kid and Linkara play a racing game as he joined Harvey. He grinned hearing Harvey.

"Well it'll be fun to watch no matter who wins." said Linksano.

[Linkara]

"Come on dude, you drive like a grampa! If ya wanna win, just go faster!" 90's Kid teased, unaware that Harvey and Linksano were watching them. He was a bit too excited and just kept going and going, determined to win the race. He had a competitiveness side to him that was always there when playing a game or doing a certain video game challange. 90's Kid gasped as Linkara's car nearly hit him and as Linkara laughed teasingly, the surfer boy shouted playfully "That's dirty play dude!"

"I am going faster watch!" Linkara retorted as 90's Kid tease, using powerups to boost himself closer to 90's Kid. Eventually he did and he laughed as he nearly hit 90's Kid car and now was head to head with 90's Kid. It seemed like very even odds. He then retorted at 90's kid playful complaint "No that's just being a racer in a video game. We're getting head to head 90's kid. Better focus"

[Harvey Finevoice]

Harvey chuckled watching them go.

"Well I didn't realize you were so competitive, kid. It's like a new side of you. Well, I'll play the winner. This looks like fun." said Harvey.

He grinned as they kept racing. It was anyone's game as he wasn't sure which one of them would win. But it was fun watching them play. His mind was totally on these games now and he wasn't even thinking about the war or anything else. Just watching these two play.

Linksano grinned as well.

"Guess you shouldn't have asked him to go faster." said Linksano.

He chuckled watching them race. He also wondered who was going to win. As it was pretty close. Then again the computer could win too so this game was hard to figure out who would win. If Linkara kept his lead he'd win but 90's Kid could take the lead if he was quick enough. He grinned as Harvey said he'd play the winner. So he could sit here watching them play or find another game. But for now, he was just happy to watch.

[Linkara]

"Sure thing harvey. I'll be more than happy to play you" Linkara teased as 90's Kid objected to that. He chuckled as he felt Linksano and Harvey watch the both of them, feeling relaxation and relief take a good toll on them. Linkara especially turned left as 90's Kid tried to cut him off but kept his cool. He was not going to lose his temper despite the fact 90's Kid was starting too. Sure 90's Kid was fast but he had the determination of a child, so Linkara's cool head would win most likely. That is until 90's Kid used a megaboost in the game and it immediately got Linkara into second place again. Linkara huffed and pressed the gas pedal to go faster.

90's Kid interuptted Linkara quickly when Harvey stated he wanted to play "No, I'M gonna play harvey! You're going down for sure dude!" He raced faster and faster and smirked as he finally got in front of Linkara. This was a fun time but competition was now running through his blood. He felt like he needed to accomplish winning, just because he could. Linkara was getting closer again but 90's Kid overpowered him with yet another megaboost.

[Harvey Finevoice]

Harvey grinned.

"I'll believe it when I see it kid. 90's Kid has just as much chance as you. Besides I have a feeling he's been to a lot of arcades. So this could be a challenge. And fun to watch." said Harvey.

He clapped when 90's Kid passed Linkara.

"Yep. It's anyone's game. Nice job 90's Kid." said Harvey.

Linksano watched interested.

"Impressive. I was never good at these racing games. But it is fun to watch." said Linksano.

When 90's Kid passed Linkara he grinned not expecting that. Linkara had been doing so well up to this point. Perhaps 90's Kid would win after all.

[90's Kid]

The race was on. It was getting close to the finish. Close enough for 90's Kid to really win. This bruised Linkara's ego enough to try charging with other cars to get near 90's Kid's car. He pushed and pushed as the finish line got closer. Linkara still wasn't fast enough. No! No! Come on! He thought as his car failed to master 90's Kid's car. The finish line was so close! Closer! Closer! The alarm for the finish line rang and 90's Kid was victorious. Linkara bent his head down in embarrassment and then realized that maybe he shouldn't have been so cocky in the first place. He saw 90's Kid though cheer himself before laughing hysterically. It was nice to see 90's Kid be a good sport despite the fact the two were bantering on before. He shook hands with 90's Kid and got off his seat. "Good job 90's kid. Ya beat me" He stated before shaking hands with Harvey "Wish you luck harvey. You were right. It's anyone's game and 90's Kid's really tried hard"

The race was his! He won! 90's kid fist-pumped and screamed "Dudes! Radical! I so totally pwned Linkara dudes! Like totally pwned him! Awesome!" He then turned to see Linkara sheepishly look at him and it caused the teenager to start laughing hysterically. He had so much fun, why should he be a poor sport? 90's Kid offered his hand and replied "Nice job bro. Really. You made my day" He then saw Linkara talk to Harvey and he laughed at Harvey "Alright Harvey! Let's do this! May the best dude win!"

[Harvey Finevoice]

Linksano grinned as 90's Kid won and patted him on the back.

"Congratulations 90's Kid." said Linksano.

He grinned stepping back and turned to Linkara.

"You want to play a game or just watch them?" asked Linksano.

(ooc: I don't really go to many arcades so not sure how many two player games there are.)

Harvey grinned as 90's Kid won.

"Yeah good job 90's Kid." said Harvey.

He turned to Linkara and grinned.

"Yep. Guess I better be careful or he'll beat me too." said Harvey.

He chuckled and took a seat next to 90's Kid as the game started. He began moving forward once the race started. He'd only seen part of the race but if 90's Kid did win again it wouldn't be because Harvey didn't try.

[Linkara]

(OCC: Some have a lot, some don't have any at all. It's a wide range of games XD. Depends on where you are but I can make this arcade up and besides, I'd like to see Linkara act like a backseat driver)

Linkara was tempted to play something else but he wanted to see how Harvey would hold up where he wouldn't, and grinned to Linksano "I wanna see this game first to see if 90's Kid wins again or something, then we can find a game you and I can play linksano" He turned to see Harvey get ready along with 90's Kid before the race started. As the race started, Linkara leaned forward slightly to see the cars. Seeing 90's Kid's car go to the right, linkara commented "Harvey go to the left!"

90's Kid smiled as Linksano patted his back and replied cheerfully "Thanks dude. It was fun" He then repeated the same thing to Harvey as the older man sat next to him and restarted a game. He then got his car ready and the race began. He went to the right and smirked as Linkara tried to give Harvey directions on how to win the race. Probably jealous He teasingly thought with a chuckle of his own. He then turned to look at how determined harvey was before he went faster on his car.

[Harvey Finevoice]

Harvey shook his head trying to ignore Linkara. The slight buzz he had from drinking half of a beer was still there. And made it a bit harder to focus. He paused seeing 90's Kid was having fun so he was going to have fun whether he won or lost.

"You're going to lose 90's Kid." said Harvey.

He chuckled as he kept going. He smiled seeing he had passed 90's Kid. They were neck and neck though. He was sure he was going to win. But then a computerized racer bumped into him while trying to pass him as he spun off the track. Harvey steadied himself so he didn't crash but 90's Kid had gotten the lead again.

"Not fair. The computer's cheating." mumbled Harvey.

He got back into the race as he kept going.

"Good luck 90's Kid. You too Harvey." said Linksano.

He nodde listening to Linkara.

"Alright. We'll watch them race. This should be fun." said Linksano.

Linksano looked in surprise as Harvey was bumped away by one of the cpu racers.

"Wow. Bad luck Harvey. But you still have a chance. Keep going Harvey." said Linksano.

[Linkara]

90's Kid smiled as Linksano wished him luck but teasingly frowned as Harvey said he would lose, shaking his head as his response. He went on and on, smirking to himself as he got the lead thanks to the computer game using a fake driver to make harvey lose his way. He chuckled slightly "Better keep up dude, or I'll win again!" He then pushed the pedal and quickly raced, trying to make sure Harvey didn't catch up. He wanted to win. He liked to win

"Crap! Keep going harvey! You're losin' him!" Linkara encouraged as the game went on. Linkara enjoyed watching the race as much as playing it. He turned to Linksano with a grin "Yep. Already I'm enjoying how this is going!" He chuckled a bit and watched as the race went on. He saw 90's kid be in the lead still but secretly hoped 90's kid would lose this time. If he won, 90's kid's victories would most likely be a humilating story to tell to the others.
