Regrets (90's Kid, Linkara)

[Harvey Finevoice]

Harvey chuckled as he kept driving.

"Stupid computer's cheating. Not much fun if the computer's trying to take you out. I thought was just a friendly racing game. Who knew the racers in this game were so competitive?" said Harvey.

Harvey grinned as he saw he was catching up to 90's Kid. He still had a good chance on winning this race.

Linksano watched amused as they kept racing.

"Looks like you were lucky the racers didn't target you Linkara. Either that or the game is different every time you play it." said Linksano.

He chuckled as he kept watching. He smiled when Harvey started catching up.

"Keep going 90's Kid. Harvey's right on your tail. This is going to be close." said Linksano.

He grinned watching getting more and more interested in this race as he wondered who would be the winner.

[Linkara]

"I guess the second option. The game is unpredictable. Just like a real race" Linkara commented to Linksano. He then jumped as a car tried to pass 90's Kid letting Harvey be able to pass him and get closer to the finish. "Come on! Don't let those racers keep blocking guys!" He responded. He was starting to laugh at his own passion by this point. He saw the race get interesting, and in Harvey's favor, and the race went on

"I'm trying but these dudes are cheating!" 90's kid said slightly annoyed. He nodded in agreement as Harvey commented that the drivers that were computer generated were cheating. He then saw a car pass him and he swiviled out of the way, but Harvey got in the lead. 90's kid cried a shout of protest before putting the pedal to the metal. He wanted to win and even though it was all fun and games, 90's kid liked to be competitive.

[Harvey Finevoice]

Linksano nodded.

"Yes. I suppose it is. Although the game's not really playing fair. Trying to knock people out of the race. Then again this game doesn't seem to have many rules." said Linksano.

He watched as he kept cheering on 90's Kid and Harvey.

"Come on guys. You can do it." said Linksano.

Harvey grinned hearing them cheer them on as they kept racing.

"At this point I just want one of us to win. I'd rather lose you to than this computer." said Harvey.

He kept racing trying to get to the spot deciding if the computer was going to bump him then he'd do the same knocking cpu racers out of the way.

"Alright. I think I'm back in first place." said Harvey.

He kept going not sure if he was or not. Or if the cpu drivers and 90's Kid would catch up him to again. It was anybody's race now and it was a lot of fun.

[Linkara]

"You're right. The game's really not fair. Wonder why?" Linkara chuckled as he saw the race go on. He cheered alongside Linksano as the two were getting closer and closer to the finish line. It was near the finish, 90's kid and harvey head to head. Linkara was honestly getting excited. He cheered more and more

"The game's rigged! It's trying to make both of us lose harvey!" 90's Kid turned to Harvey, not because he thought he was winning but the game was going hard on both of them. He saw Harvey get to first place and he kept racing his car. Trying to ignore the computer co-racers and he put the pedal to the metal. He was getting closer but harvey seemed to be in the lead now.

[Harvey Finevoice]

Harvey grinned as they kept going. It wasn't long before they were on the final lap.

"Yes. The final lap. Let's beat the computer 90's Kid. Show them what we can do." said Harvey.

He grinned driving his car as they kept going. It was neck and neck between him and 90's Kid. At least they finally were outracing the computer. This was it. He could see the finish line then suddenly his car was bumped as it crashed and exploded as Harvey started cursing words that would make a sailor blush. He heard Linksano's words and realized he was right.

"Sorry. This game's just got me so angry. I forgot we weren't at home." said Harvey.

His car seemed to come back to life but his lead was gone. He kept going deciding to finish the game. He felt L

Linksano watched as they finally got to the final lap.

"Alright you guys. You can do it." said Linksano.

When Harvey was knocked away again as his car exploded. Linksano looked at him in sympathy.

"It's ok Harvey. This game is clearly rigged. Or has a glitch in it somewhere." said Linksano.

He frowned realizing he didn't bring any scanning equipment. Well he'd come check this game out later to make sure it was playing fair. He blushed hearing Harvey's cursing and whispered to him.

"Harvey. There are children here. Try to keep it PG." said Linksano.

[Linkara]

"You got it harvey, you got it, you got--" Linkara cheered but suddenly Harvey's car crashed and exploded, resulting in the older man swearing hard and long. Linkara knew plenty of the words but was not a common user of them, so the fact he was hearing all this spoken so passionately caused the man to have his mouth dropped open. He nodded softly as Linksano told harvey to calm down and not speak like that in a area that had children in it. Luckily it was just the four of them so far but if there was children there, the high chances of them being in trouble here were quite high. Linkara coughed and responded softly "Well. It looks like the two of you still have a bit more to go. So get to it guys!" He tried to move on. He didn't want anymore to do with what just happened with harvey. Besides, linkara had a habit of doing that when only the other three werre around too, it wasn't something to focus on anyway

90's Kid face blushed dark red at Harvey's enraged swearing at the crashing. He gulped in nervousness and was glad linksano had the ability to speak up. The youngest person of the team NEVER heard Harvey so angry. He wasn't annoyed with his older friend, just plainly shocked out of his skull. Enough to allow some computer cars pass him. "Shoot dude! Those computer jerks are gaining up! Let's finish this! Hopefully either you or me win dude!" He desperately was trying to ignore what happened too. The computer cars were beating him and that bruised the teens ego. Enough to grow passion out of it, 90's Kid started up and once again the two people passed the other cars and soon it was head-to-head between harvey and 90's kid.

[Dr. Linksano/Wayne Schlumper]

Harvey nodded feeling guilty a bit.

"Sorry guys. I forget we're not at home. This game is just so frustrating." said Harvey.

He paused as he kept going turning to 90's Kid with a grin.

"Yeah may the best man win. We can't let this computer beat us. That's not fair." said Harvey.

He grinned as they kept racing. It was the final lap now.

"You know I think this will be my last racing game. Win or lose. This game is just driving me crazy." said Harvey.

They were neck and neck but there were a couple computer played cars right behind them so it waas going to be a close race.

Linksano smiled glad Harvey wasn't swearing anymore.

"Yeah. Come on Harvey! Come on Linksano! You can do it." said Linksano.

Hearing Harvey saying he wasn't going to race after this Linksano nodded in sympathy. He couldn't blame him for that. Something must be wrong with this computer. He paused hearing a beeping realizing he had brought a scanner after all in his pocket. He must have forgot to put it down in the lab. He held the tricorder up as he began scanning the machine and puzzled as he walked around it seeing a little device. He picked it off as projection suddenly appeared out of it. Of Insuedo, Insano, and Smith.

"Damn you Linksano. You ruined our fun. We were trying to drive you all crazy." pouted Insuedo.

"Don't worry. They won't be able to stop our next brilliant idea." said Dr. Smith.

"What's your next briliant idea?" asked Linksano.

Insuedo scoffed at him.

"We're not going to tell you. That would just spoil the surprise." said Insuedo, chuckling.

(ooc: hope you don't mind me throwing in the scientists through a projection. just for a couple posts to explain the glitchy game. xd)

[90's Kid]

(OCC: Sure. Fine by me)

"Maybe for me too dude. This game sucks" 90's Kid commented as Harvey said he was done with this game once either of them won. 90's Kid could understand because this game was honest-to-god annoying. Linkara meanwhile was cheering the two on as the time went on. 90's kid and harvey were once again near the finish line, neck and neck while the computer cars were chasing them. Linkara shouted "Come on Harvey! Come on 90's kid! Kick those computer-generated rears to the ground! You're almost there!"


Insano was also with Insuedo and Smith giggling as Linksano succeeded in finding their device to help ruin the game for the four heroes. Insano was giggling as Smith and Insuedo commented that Linksano found them and ruined the fun. That they had another idea that Linksano was sure never to ruin. Insano sneered annoyedly at Linksano's question "None of your damn beeswax linksano! You'll just have to wait and see!" He giggled again

"Oh I enjoyed the rather foul mouth the singer has. Do tell me, does he curse like a sailor in front of your children? Or perhaps to you all in private? Rather disrespectful and vulgar I think" Insano commented "Well. Thanks for ruining the fun linksano. Be sure to be careful next time. We've got a pretty good idea on what to do next, the best part is I'm not telling you a damn thing and neither are my precious colleagues"

[Harvey Finevoice]

Harvey frowned seeing the scientists appear.

"So this was all some sick joke? When I get my hands on you..."

Dr. Smith chuckled.

"You'll never get that close you fool. You can't stop the power of science." said Dr. Smith.

Insuedo chuckled.

"I couldn't have said that better myself. This was fun. we should do this again sometime." said Insuedo.

Linksano glared at them.

"How about not? You three have caused enough trouble for us. Why don't you just buzz off?" said Linksano.

[Linkara]

"Yeah! I WON! Suck it computer! Your dumb virus doesn't mean---" 90's kid was about to say more when Linkara halted him with a single hand, as he heard both Harvey and Linksano discover a projection of the three ask thatguy scientists. Linkara snarled at them as they spoke then Linksano said for the scientists to buzz off. He growled angerily again and replied "Unless you want a nice good atop the fourth wall beating. A nice special treat given to you by the four of us" He then growled as Insano replied that while they probably wouldn't do this again, they were planning to do something worse and hinted at Snob's capture "You leave Cinema snob out of the conversation, you googly eyed freak. I'm not kidding around with you Insano. Next time I see you? You're science goo, got it?"

"Yeah! You're science goo! You tell them Linkara!" 90's kid replied in encouragement. He was shocked to see the scientists here but now that they were here, he might as well talk to them and make them leave. He then grew a bit depressed and unlike the angry older men, 90's kid was more hurt and upset "Why? Why do you want to pick on us so much?" When Insano replied that it was because they wanted to, 90's kid sniffed and replied "Well, maybe someone should pick on you and then you'll see what it feels like you stupid science meanies" He kicked the projection which did nothing but pass through the projection and make the scientists laugh.

"Wow. You heroes really have your pants in a twist" Insano chuckled as Linksano, Linkara and Harvey got snippy with them. He then responded mockingly "Fine fine. We won't bother fooling around with your funsie time or game time, or anything of that crap. I think we'll do something much worse, after all we haven't talked to Snob in quite a long time" When Linkara started threatening him he laughed and when 90's kid got in it, he laughed even harder. "You four really are stupid aren't you?"

He then rolled his eyes as 90's kid asked them child-like of why he was picking on them "Because we fucking can! We're villains! It's part of the program!" He then laughed as 90's kid kicked the projection out of spite but it didn't really do anything. "Science meanies? Really? That's pointless and stupid, just like your existance" He then rolled his eyes again and responded to the others "Come on. We've had our fun. We have important things to do" He then waved his hand "That's all from us for now, Linkara and friends. Ta-ta"

(OCC: Feel free to be the one to say the projection turns off)

[Dr. Linksano/Wayne Schlumper]

The projection shut off as the scientists were now gone. Harvey sighed in annoyance. At least they were finally gone now. He was annoyed he lost not because he didn't feel 90's Kid deserved it. But because he didn't feel like either had been given a fair chance thanks to that stupid virus. He made a mental note to check on the others back home and make sure those geeks didn't have anything up their sleeve.

"Alright. I think before we have anymore fun we should fix this game and make sure none of the others are rigged because of those idiots. It's one thing to try to ruin our fun. But I wouldn't want others to get stuck playing these games. This isn't a carnival after all." said Harvey.

He smiled as Linksano said he had it covered before the power went out everywhere.

"Linksano! Stand there! Don't just do something!" said Harvey.

He paused realizing he said that wrong and sighed.

"Do something!" said Harvey.

Harvey frowned at Linksano.

"Why would you have a laser in there?" asked Harvey.

Linksano nodded.

"Don't worry. I got something that should fix everything." said Linksano.

He pressed a button and suddenly all the power in the mall went out followed by screams and crashes.

"Sorry. I was just trying to cut power to the machines. You know reset them. It'd get rid of their high scores but it should purge the virus at the same time. Guess I over did it." said Linksano.

He heard Harvey's slip and chuckled before Harvey corrected himself.

"Don't worry. I can fix this." said Linksano.

He paused realizing there was no light.

"Uh perhaps I should try fixing it where I can see it. Wouldn't want to fire a laser or something." said Linksano.

He heard Harvey's question and grinned.

"I'm a mad scientist. Of course I'll put weapons into my other inventions. To protect myself of course." said Linksano.

He paused finding some light from the screen doors in front as he pressed a button. The lights turned on and the food court looked like a mess. Chairs were flipped over. Food and people were everywhere. Linksano snuck back into the game room grateful no one noticed him.

"Guess I won't do that again. So what should we do next?" asked Linksano.

[Linkara]

Linkara was beyond frustrated but he was glad the projection was gone. He could care less about the scientists threats, they meant nothing to linkara. He knew that the scientists would pay eventually. He nodded in agreement with Harvey's comment about fixing the games "The game was rigged so we need to play this fair. Sorry 90's kid, we're gonna have to start all over again" 90's kid response to him was actually sweet and linkara said "You know, you're a good sport kid" He then gasped as the power went completely out. He glared out of instinct as Harvey mixed up his words but sighed in relief as Linksano quickly fixed the problem. Despite his confusion with the lazer, he was fine with anything Linksano had that worked to fix the problem.

When it was resolved he breathed in relief "Thank god. I thought we were going to get sued by the mall or something. Now let's continue to play the game... If it's fixed"

90's kid was admittedly bummed that he needed to redo the round but when linkara apologized he willingly smiled "No sweat dude. It wasn't a fair game. Besides, maybe it'll be fun to beat Harvey again!" He fist-pumped in amusement. He then screamed as the lights went off thanks to Linksano and he went behind linkara out of pure instinct. He turned to Linksano and responded "Dude! Just go and fix it, please! The dark can be scary, bro!" When the light was on he breathed in union with linkara and nodded to his suggestion on what to do. "Yeah if the game's fixed let's have a redo! If not, maybe we can go to the comic book store or something. Not to buy anything but check stuff out"

[Harvey Finevoice]

Harvey paused shaking his head.

"Sorry guys but I've had enough of games for awhile. Maybe we could play a game later at home 90's Kid. A game I know hasn't been tampered with." said Harvey.

He chuckled at Linkara and 90's Kid's words

"Well at least the light's back on. Besides don't want to risk being around here in case someone things one of us was responsible for the black out." said Harvey.

He paused as Linksano suggested the comic book store.

"Sounds good. Perhaps we could just walk around and see if there's anything else interesting. I might go check out the book and music stores. I'm always looking for new songs for my act after all." said Harvey.

Harvey paused as he walked out knowing the group would follow.

Linksano nodded looking at Harvey in sympathy.

"I think Harvey's right. Let's just walk around the mall. We can play some games later at home. I might see if I can get some more parts and supplies for my inventions too." said Linksano.

Linksano followed Harvey out finding a map of the store.

"Hmm. The stores we want are on the way to the comic book store. Why don't we head there?" said Linksano.

Harvey and Linksano had already shopped at the stores they wanted and were satisfied as the group now approached the comic book store. Linksano had used a device to send them off to their rooms so they would be free to keep walking around.

Harvey turned to Linkara.

"So kid you think you'll find any new reviews in here?" asked Harvey.

Linksano chuckled.

"He'd probably find a lot to work with in here." said Linksano.

[Linkara]

"Oh that's fine harvey, we can do games some other time. I think we had enough" Linkara said, more than happy to change the subject. He only offered to play again because 90's kid seemed to win unfairly but it seemed Harvey didn't care. And for good reason. He was worried someone would catch them and immediately assume it was their fault. Linkara nodded, smiling at the idea of going to stores, and was especially glad that all the stores they wanted were near a comic book one. "Awesome. We'll just go to that direction and get what we all want or need" He then turned to see 90's kid agree much to Linkara's amusement.

"Awww, I didn't win fair though. But ok, we'll do it some other time back at home. I'm just glad those science dweebs aren't here" 90's kid said, a pout on his face. He wasn't disappointed about the game, he was annoyed with the scientists bothering/tampering with the game. "It doesn't matter though, dude. Let's just go to all the awesome stores" 90's kid responded as all three other men agreed to go to the stores. Harvey wanted to check out new songs, linksano wanted to see if there was more parts for his inventions, linkara wanted a new comic book it seemed and hopefully 90's kid would find a rob liefield comic too.

*Time Skip*

While 90's kid patiently looked about for Rob Liefield or superman related comic books, Linkara turned to hear harvey and linksano tease slightly about his occupation and linkara chuckled before responding "I gotta admit, once the war's done, I think I might appreciate trying to find material to work with a little more than I did" He then groaned "Youngblood number 6, youngblood number 7, some crap about superboy prime but since it has something to do with superboy prime I don't care" He did this as he kept looking then he saw a copy of spider-man one more day and growled with the utmost displeasure. He backed away and breathed "I'm not looking in that isle anymore, and you can guess why"

"One more day, dude?" 90's kid asked, head cocked in curiosity

"Yep. One more day. Already did it and not going to bother" Linkara replied impatiently

[Harvey Finevoice]

Harvey chuckled along with Linkara and the others.

"Well kid you might want to consider taking the stuff up anyway. Thanks to Linksano and the others everyone else still think we're all back at our seperate homes. Well aside from reviewers we've contacted of course. Unfortunately we don't know how long the "silence" is going to last." said Harvey.

He chose to use other words instead of war since they were in a public place and didn't want to attract attention. He chuckled as Linkara went on about youngblood books and superboy prime.

"Still amazing they can see without any eyes." said Havey.

He paused as Linkara mentioned one more day and Harvey nodded.

"I understand. You've raved about that comic too many times already. Believe me if I could have one more day I'd make sure they never made that stupid comic. Why don't we go find you something you like? How about some classic Teen Titans books?" said Harvey.

Linksano nodded.

"Harvey's right. We'll have to be doing reviews from here now. At least Moarte doesn't have a regular show so we don't have to put up with him. Still can't believe he betrayed us." said Linksano.

He paused seeing Linkara's reaction to the one more day comic.

"Same here. Unfortunately I haven't invented a time machine so we're stuck." said Linksano.

He nodded as Harvey suggested they go find something else.

"Yes. Or some of the classic Wonder Woman or Batman books. There's a lot of god stuff here." said Linksano.

He hoped they could cheer Linkara up and get him to forget about one more day.
