"The show that has captured the hearts of millions of Americans is back! This time in the Windy city of Chicago. Tonight, dreams will be made into realities as local contestants duke it out in an all out singing competition while all of America watches. Who will be the next CHICAGO IDOL?"
"And here's your host, Gilbert Beilschmidt!"
The Prussian slid his way onscreen, dressed in a white tuxedo with a red undershirt, a frilly pink dickey and a black bow tie. "Guten Tag Chicago, whose ready for ze most amazing show ever! I'm your awesome host Prussia and I hope you are all ready to witness ze most amazing thing you vill ever see. Now here's our amazing judges, Paige Michealchuck, Shego and Sarafina!"
--
The blonde waved and smiled as the attention shifted towards her. "Hey everyone, hope your all doing great I'm fine thank you."
(ooc: At this point, the judges can post a small intro to the audience before the attention goes back to Prussia and our first contestant.)
Shego's gaze was focused on her nails for the longest time. Did she have better things to be doing? Not really. She was just doing this judging business for kicks and gigs. When she realized that the attention began focusing on her, she lifted her gaze upwards, blank expression on her face. "Yeah, hi, sorta kinda busy here, talk to me in a sec," she stated quickly, returning her focus to her nails. Let the games begin. Hopefully, some decent singers would be coming by.
The lioness smiled, she got attention from the aduicence but she was nervous inside. Sarafina smiled and waved in her paw as she said :"Umm well , I'm fine but excited." The dark cream lioness said as she looked in the people in the audience.
The attention was focused back on Gilbert as he held a yellow microphone in hand. "Kesese, there you have it everyone. Now time for our first contestant, Cash!" The albino male's hand gestured towards the stage as the camera turned to a hound dog walking out on stage.
---
"Time to wow em' Cash, just like back at home." The canine thought as he made his way on stage, flashing his trademark grin to the crowd as they cheered him on. God memories indeed. "Alright, this is dedicated to folks back at home." Cash spoke through the microphone that was lowered to match his height. He cleared his throat:
"Well, life's on a farm is kinda laid back, ain't much an old country boy like me can't hack. It's early to rise, early in the sack thank God I'm a country boy. Well, a simple kind of life never did me no harm, raising me a family and working on the farm. My days are all filled with an easy country charm, thank God I'm a country boy. Well, I got me a fine wife, I got me old fiddle. When the sun's coming up, I got cakes on the griddle. And life ain't nothing but a funny, funny riddle, thank God I'm a country boy."
He grabbed the mic. into his paws as he song with his deep melodious voice.
"When the work's all done and the sun's setting low, I pull out my fiddle and I rosin up the bow. The kids are asleep so I keep it kinda low, thank God I'm a country boy. I'd play Sally Gooding all day if I could, but the lord and my wife wouldn't take it very good. So I fiddle when I can and I work when I should, thank God I'm a country boy. Well, I got me a fine wife, I got me old fiddle. When the sun's coming up, I got cakes on the griddle. And life ain't nothing but a funny, funny riddle, thank God I'm a country boy.
I wouldn't trade my life for diamonds or jewels, I never was one of them money hungry fools. I'd rather have my fiddle and my farming tools, thank God I'm a country boy. Yeah, city folk driving in a black limousine, a lotta sad people thinking that's-a mighty keen. Son, let me tell you now exactly what I mean, thank God I'm a country boy. Well, I got me a fine wife, I got me old fiddle. When the sun's coming up, I got cakes on the griddle. And life ain't nothing but a funny, funny riddle, thank God I'm a country boy.
Well, my fiddle was my daddy's till the day he died, and he took me by the hand and held me close to his side. He said, "Live a good life and play my fiddle with pride, and thank God you're a country boy. My Daddy taught me young how to hunt and how to whittle, he taught me how to work and play a tune on the fiddle. He taught me how to love and how to give just a little, thank God I'm a country boy. Well, I got me a fine wife, I got me old fiddle. When the sun's coming up, I got cakes on the griddle. And life ain't nothing but a funny, funny riddle, thank God I'm a country boy."
Cash then glanced over to the crowd to here there cheers of excitement. "Hehe, just like ole' times." He thought with a smug grin and confident attitude. It was no for the judges to decide on what they thought.
--
The attention quickly shifted back towards the Prussian host. "Alright everyone let's here it for Cash! I mean his voice is awesome, I mean not as awesome as mine, but still great! Now let's see what the judges think."
--
"Well, I thought it was good. Even though personally I find country music to be bumpkin music and I don't see why people even like it, but hey you did great. And your voice, I wish I knew dogs that sung that good." Paige gave her feedback with a small smile, before glancing down at her nails. "Damn it, when was the last time I got a manicure?" She thought while the other judges spoke.
(ooc: Now other judges can give their feed back before the next contestant goes on. Just remember to use one post per song/contestant.)
After Sarafina heared Cash singing she said:" It was great! You had a very beautiful voice, keep that way , I think that your singing is for me great and I have the urgent to say that you did great." Sarafina said to Cash. The lioness thought :"He did great but I'm sure to think what the other contesters will do?" The female feline thought
Shego laced her fingers together, leaning forward closer to her own microphone to ensure she was heard. "Personally, I find country to be a poor choice in music tastes. Outdated is the word I'm looking for when I try to describe country music," Shego began, eyes focused on the canine onstage, "You didn't change my mind about country, no, but I'll admit you're not too shabby. Clearly, you've sung before. I mean that in a... A good way. My ears aren't bleeding yet, so I'd say you're pretty decent."
Cash nodded in the direction of the judges. "Why, thank ya ladies." He replied to the feedback with a small grin before padding off the stage. "Hmm, who doesn't appreciate good country? Yankees thats who." The canine hound though to himself as he walked backstage as it was another's turn.
---
The camera focused back on Gilbert as he began to speak. "Well, zhere you have it folks. Not bad, not bad at all! Now, its time for our next contestant....."
(OOC : Its okay that now Rachel will sing after Cash?)
Rachel walked out to the stage. The spoiled new york woman smiled sweetly as the cameras were to her , she was quite nervous but Rachel held the microphone and said :"This song I would like to Devote to my ex boyfriend Ross and of course my friends in New York , Monica , Chandler, Ross ,Joey and Phoebe I miss you" Rachel said in the microphone to the judges. Then she cleared her throat that her voice will sound soft and sweetly and she grabbed the microphone :"
Every night in my dreams I see you, I feel you That is how I know you go on.
Far across the distance and spaces between us You have come to show you go on.
Near, Far, wherever you are, I believe that the heart does go on.
Once more, you opened the door And you're here in my heart, and my heart will go on and on.
Love can touch us one time and last for a lifetime And never let go till we're gone.
Love was when I loved you, one true time to hold on to In my life we'll always go on.
Near, far, wherever you are, I believe that the heart does go on.
Once more, you opened the door And you're here in my heart, and my heart will go on and on.
You're here, there's nothing I fear And I know that my heart will go on. We'll stay, forever this way You are safe in my heart
and my heart will go on and on." After Rachel sang , she smiled and she gave a look in her eyes to the audicence. Her green eyes looked at the jugdes and she tought :"I can try to succeed" Rach tought in her head
But before the albino man could introduce our next contestant, she had already made her way onstage. "Uh, let's here it for Rachel Green!" He exclaimed originally confused then back in his normal tone as the main attention shifted from him to the young woman.
--
After her performance was done, Prussia had stepped back on the stage. "Kesese, another great performance, now vhat vill ze judges think?" He asked before glaring at the three females.
---
While she had been slightly distraught by her nails, Paige had been listening to Rachel's performance. "Hmm, I gotta you got a nice voice hon." She commented. "One of the nicer voices I heard all day. And Titanic, don't get me started on how much I love that movie, anyway what i'm trying to say is I loved your performance hon." The blonde finished as she glanced back down towards her nails, a little to distracted to here what the other judges had to say.
"Aww thanks Paige its really sweet thing to say." Rachel said to Paige , giving her a smile and then she saw the lioness and her green eyes looked from the blonde woman to the lioness and she also looked at the Prussian host and returned to the lioness. Rach smiled
xxxxxxxxx
"Oh my god , what a blessing voice you have! Like Paige said you really got a nice voice also you're so gentle in the song. Keep the great job honey" Sarafina said to Rachel happily
Once more, Shego's gaze was focused on her fingernails. She didn't bother to look up for a long time. "Celine Dion? Titanic? I'm not into romantic films at all. Or Celine Dion, for that matter. There are better Canadian singers. Because of your song choice, I felt as if I couldn't enjoy it much." Finally, she raised her gaze upwards again, resting an elbow on the table. "It was fine. Personally, I feel as if it was nothing spectacular, but nothing heinous either."
"Okay thanks for telling." Rachel said to Shego and looked at the three judges and the host. The green eyed woman smiled and she tought :"They liked me." Rachel tought happily as she went of from the stage, she was sighing from happines
"Alright! You heard it Chicago, another awesome performance!" Prussia exclaimed as the spotlight surfaced on him once more. Glowing crimson eyes then lit up as he was about to announce the next contestant.
