An Unsettling Revelation

[Nostalgia Chick]

Nani rushed out getting the medicine searching the bathrooms. She finally found some in the upstairs one, being careful not to alert anyone before rushing downstairs and handing it to Splinter.

Chick had heard Critic mention her name a few times in his sleep. He appeared to having a nightmare. Most likely Malachite or someone hurting everyone. She then glanced at Maleficent seeing her still hold the ring. Perhaps it could stop Critic's nightmare at least for awhile.

"Maleficent may I see that? That ring might be able to calm him down." said Chick.

[Nostalgia Critic]

Splinter replied to Chick "I have it now. Here! He seems to be in complete shock" Splinter gave the ring as quickly as he could as he and Morpheus struggled with the critic. Snob and Nani's medicine was helpful in order to stop the Critic from physically struggling but he still shouted and sweated. Critic was heard shouting "Go away. I just want you to go away! Leave me alone!"

[Nostalgia Chick]

Chick had nodded taking the ring from Splinter having missed when he'd taken it back. She put it on her finger as her thoughts focused on the loss of Ma-ti and Nella. She didn't want to lose someone she cared about. Suddenly the ring began to glow golden as she could feel its power radiating through her. She hoped it could help him. She raised it to her head in an attempt to contact Critic.

"Heart!" said Chick.

Beams of golden light flew from the ring and hit Critic as she attempted to calm his mind.

"Critic you're having a nightmare. We're all safe in your house. Linkara,, Snob, and I brought you back from you fight with Malachite. I'm using Ma-ti's ring to try to reach you. Splinter and the others are healing your wounds as best as you can. But come back to us. We need you. I need you" said Chick.

She hoped she was saying the right things or at least hearing her voice and knowing everyone was alright would be enough.

Nani watched in amazement as Chick used the ring to try to reach Critic. Seeing the experiments and their powers she had gotten used to weird things but a magic ring was new. She hoped it worked.

Jasmine saw Chick trying to reach Critic and mentally wished them the best.

Roses smiled at seeing Chick using the ring. Splinter and the others were doing their best to heal his wounds but as long as Critic was having these nightmares it might do him harm.

Morpheus felt the impact strong enough to be thrown off the couch. He got up near it and stared in utter shock. The feeling of shock no longer was hidden. It was shown as clear as the sky on Morpheus' face. He saw the golden light on the middle of Critic's forehead and watched the detail of Chick just stand there as if she was thinking to herself.

Snob wanted to say something but he just allowed his mouth to widen in shock as he watched the scenery. He was actually amazed Chick was doing this. He slapped himself to make sure it was real and when it was still there he tried to slap himself out of it until finally he only watched.

Like Morpheus, Splinter fell off but instead of getting up he just didn't move. He was frozen in amazement. Never before had the rat seen something like this. Sure he had seen tons of magical things but the fact this was happening now still made the old sensei surprised.

Critic's shouts stopped and the waving of arms and legs slowly and, as if he was under a spell, lowered down to the couch once again. His mouth closed, his panting turned into very calm breathing, the sweating was still there but it wasn't as serious and was pretty much as if the dream ended but the fever didn't. He made a very calm sigh as the golden light was on his head. It was as if the words were getting through and Critic was comforted.

[Nostalgia Chick]

Chick smiled as she stopped seeing Critic was alright before falling backwards. She grabbed the arm of a chair to steady herself in time.

"It worked. It actually worked." said Chick.

Jasmine, Nani, and Roses had joined the group watching in amazement as Critic now appeared to be calmer. Jasmine ran over to Chick quickly.

"Are you alright?" asked Jasmine.

XXXX

"Yeah. But using that ring took a lot out of me. No wonder Ma-ti didn't use telepathy often on the show." said Chick.

Roses glanced at the calm Critic and then at Chick. She soon had a mischevous smile on her face turning to Chick whispering in her ear.

"Is there something between you two? He calls out your name and hearing your voice calmed him down." said Roses.

Chick immediately blushed. Before this had happened she would have flat out denied it. After all she had a crush on Todd in the Shadows. But in just a few short days she'd spent more time with the Critic. They'd even gone out for coffee and gone walking around the city and the parks. She'd seen a more vulnerable side to him. But she was sure she might have feelings for him but she wasn't sure if it was love. She turned to Roses.

"I... I'm not sure. But I'd like to see what happens." whispered Chick.

It was true. She didn't know if this would lead to love but all she knew was she cared about Critic and that had helped him a little bit. Hopefully Splinter and the rest could heal his wounds.

[Morpheus]

Morpheus tried to help Chick but saw Jasmine and Roses come by to help to. Wondering how Critic got calmer wasn't really needed in Morpheus' opinion. He had a strange prediction of it though. Smiling a tad he replied "Again, using your emotions to make you stronger. You have done very well Chick" Seeing Snob slap himself again made the man chuckle

"Jesus Christ.... How in the living hell did you do that?" Snob said after slapping himself one last time. He shuddered as he commented "If you think about it we were in a creepy situation. Critic must've dreamt that all of us and Chick were being attacked by aliens and some stuff" He grinned a tad at the very noticable fact Critic called out to Chick and was calmed by her. Something was beyond the noticable now.

Critic's body was calm now. Splinter could work and now he put a bit more bandages on the loose ends and got the towel that was filled with ice and since it melted a tad he wiped the sweat away before putting it on a bruise on Critic's body. He gave a pleased and tired smile to the others before continuing on Critic

Chick glanced at the ring and back at Snob.

"I'm not sure. I just didn't want to lose someone else and the thing started glowing. I think it could sense my thoughts, feelings, whatever. So I used it to contact Critic and the rest you know." said Chick.

"That was incredible though. If this ring can do this and injure Malachite then maybe it can hurt Facilier or one of the others on their side. Do you think they can be duplicated?" said Roses.

"I'm not sure we should. The last time someone tried to duplicate the planteer rings they ended up with evil copies and Captain Pollution. And we have enough problems now." said Chick.

"I didn't think of that. But even if we accidentally create a ring of hate we can just destroy it. The rings are only useful if someone's using them anyway." said Linksano.

[Nostalgia Critic]

"Duplicating this could be helpful. I may not know much about magic but I do know technology. It may be harmful but it does have benefits" Morpheus commented causually. Looking to Splinter who was healing the critic, he looked to snob and replied "Our leader not only risked his life but gave us a helping hint on what to use for the battle"

"Isn't that the fucking truth?" Snob said both angerly and hurtfully. As if Morpheus' comment made Snob feel a bit more guilty. He clenched his fist and said while looking at the comastate critic "You bastard. You gotten yourself in another shithole! This is all because you went outside!" Before anyone could tell Snob otherwise or defend the critic he put a hand on his face and sighed as if he was about to cry. He then said as his hand was in his face "I should've stated that and told you to go with someone. It's my fault for once and you know what" He showed his face and looked to the others having some tears pour down "I feel bad for it"

Splinter was about to defend the critic but Snob's later outburst made Splinter feel sorry as well. Morpheus felt bad to begin with but Splinter was busy healing rather than seeing the picture Snob saw. Both the rat and the black man felt bad for the usually calm but arrogant man

[Nostalgia Chick]

"Hey. You can't blame yourself anymore than I can. We all should have known better than going off alone. We've all done that before. Critic and I were just walking around town a couple days ago separately before we ran into each other. We could have been attacked then." said Chick.

"And I bumped into a rachel after we trained a few days ago. We were just walking around out in the open too. Maybe we should only go out in groups from now on. That way if we're attacked we'll be stronger as a group." said Roses.

"Excellent idea. Ooh I just remembered we finished the communicators before you guys arrived. Excuse me." said Linksano.

He runs out returning with a box of star trek badges and power ranger communicators. He hands the communicators out to everyone leaving the badges in the box.

"The badges will be extras and we can probably attach them to the collars of the animals." said Linksano.

Chick nodded strapping her communicator on.

"At least we have more good news. With these this won't happen again. And if we can duplicate the ring we'll be ready for Malachite and the others." said Chick.

"Even if we worked all night we couldn't get them ready for tomorrow's battle. We'll just have to begin working on it after the battle." said Linsano.

Roses strapped a communicator on as well. She'd seen some of the show in the 90s and knew how they worked.

"What about teleporting? Did that work?" asked Roses.

"Comi-Cron 1's has the power to teleport us. But we shouldn't overuse it. We don't want to drain its power in case we need to use it later on." said Linksano.

Nani placed the communicator on her wrist mimicking the others. It looked just like a watch but she didn't doubt him when he said it was a communicator. She'd seen stranger inventions from Jumba back home.

Jasmine slipped the communicator on as well. These would be useful. She knew none of them wanted to end up like Critic. And at least this way they could get help faster.

(ooc: The devices were made off screen. Just figured that would be quicker. Used power ranger communicators cause that seems the easiest to blend in. But the star trek badges would be backup.)

Snob calmed himself down. They were right. He needed to be strong. He was the second leader after all. The last thing they needed was a whiny brat as their standby. Seeing the communicators he couldn't help but have a shed of pleased feeling swell through him. He put the comunicator on his wrist making it look like a techowatch. He replied "The ring can be handled with whenever we can. Right now we gotta get a field plan now"

Morpheus and Splinter put on the comunicators and as Splinter shrugged(due to knowing a lot from Donatello's inventions), Morpheus looked at it as if even this was new to him. Despite all the technology he seen this was the most useful and the most new to him. He gave a pleased smile though, since it was said to keep everyone together.

Critic. Wake up. They need you. You're their leader. Don't give up even for me

"Ma-ti? Wait Ma-Ti!.... I'm alive? Whe-where am I?" Critic said weakly as he awaken from his coma. He looked to see Splinter hover over him and the group of the adults in his army be around the living room. From the looks on their faces, he seemed to be in very bad shape. He tried to move but sharp pain made him stay perfectly still. He looked especially to Chick and smiled "I-I really think I have some resting to do now huh?"

[Nostalgia Chick]

Chick immediately ran up to him resisting the urge to slap him since he was in a bad shape. She glared at him with eyes tearing up.

"Damn you Critic. Why'd did you pull a stunt like this? Why did you have to go out there all alone? If we hadn't found you in time...."

She trailed off and stormed away slamming her fist into a wall on her way out. She was now crying freely as she ran out the backdoor and was outside. The ring still on her finger was glowing slightly as she realized she had to get her emotions under check. She and Critic were the only ones so far who'd used it since Ma-ti had died. She didn't mean to snap back there but she was angry at Critic for leaving, and at herself and the rest of the group for not trying to stop him.

Roses stood back in shock. She'd never really seen Chick get so angry before. At least outside of a review where she'd known it was rehearsed. She was glad Critic was awake though.

"Hey Critic. Welcome back. You gave us quite a scare." said Roses.

She glanced out the door unsure if Chick needed time alone or needed a friend.

"I'm glad you're okay. Hopefully you'll be back to normal soon." said Jasmine.

Jasmine had also been surprised at Chick's outburst. She'd seemed so calm and levelheaded before. Then again love made you do crazy things. And she could see the signs. Maybe the two didn't know it yet but she could tell they did care for each other a great deal.

"Or as normal as it gets around here." said Nani.

She frowned glancing out at the backdoor. She knew they all felt guilty for letting Critic got out there and Chick was just venting her own frustrations. But she was unsure what to do. She hoped Lilo and the others hadn't woken up and heard the racket down here. She didn't think they should see this yet.

[Cinema Snob]

Critic then right then and there let guilt go right through his veins. Sure his agony was physical but it was nothing compared to the guilt he felt for worrying chick. She meant pretty much a lot to him and it KILLED him to see her like that. Seeing her run off he made a little sound in protest but he couldn't run to her for he was in physical pain. Critic replied to Roses "Yeah. I really should've thought to get a bodyguard" He wasn't joking he was dead serious. He looked out to the back where chick was and replied "Damn me. Damn me to hell. Roses.... If it's not to much can you talk to her and bring her back here. I need to tell her I'm sorry"

"Critic? Critic!" Snob replied, much more happy than anyone else now. He was smiling widely and nearly hugged the critic if it wasn't for his nerves. He also wanted to slap the critic too for being a idiot but he was too excited he was alive "We thought you were dead! Thank sweet god you're not!" Chick's outburst though made him frown and reply "Yeah... You need to give her a huge own of gratitiude after this one"

"You still need a lot of work but we are certainly glad you're alive" Morpheus replied just as pleased. He was near nani now but he focused entirely on the critic. He was shocked at Chick's outburst but that didn't stop him from focusing at hand

Splinter replied sternly "Stay here Critic. You will not heal if you move so much" Splinter sighed both tiredly and happily "Your nightmares were very powerful" Splinter said that not out loud but to himself. It was not noticeable to hear but Splinter said it and he would not take it back. Those comments were honest to god

(OOC: Sorry for my absence, guys. I haven’t been feeling my best lately, and the Maleficent muse was dry until recently.)

Maleficent took the offered communicator but refrained from putting it on just yet. Instead she held it up to the light so as to give it a proper examination.

How fascinating, she mused, running a slender finger over the smooth surface. The people in this world may not have a lot of access to magic, but their technology was far superior to that of her kingdom. She slipped the communicator on before turning her eyes to the box of badges. An eyebrow was raised.

“And what is the purpose of these?” she inquired, holding one up and eyeing it with distaste.

[Linkara]

Linkara had stayed quiet as everyone had argued, he did not want a big fight. When he saw the Critic awakened, he felt his spirits uplifted. "Welcome back, Critic. Leave the Chick to get sometime to get a calm down. She just really got usept. You are lucky to have someone care about you so much". Then Linkara thought about what had happened in the Critic's nightmare's "Your right Splinter. What if Malachite is manipulating the dreams to make him more drained? I did meat up and have a fight with Rita Repulsa a while back. He's getting all the powerful sorcerer's together, Dr Faciler was there as well" Then he gave the critic a hand on his shoulder. Jus to let him know he was not alone.

Splinter was admittedly embarrassed that Linkara heard him. It didn't stop him from sitting where he was and replying again "Perhaps. Or maybe it was just a fever dream" That comment almost sounded like it was a dry sense for comedy but Splinter was dead serious. Looking to the critic again he spoke "I completely understand about Chick but your wounds are too risky for you to walk around with"

Critic shook his head defeated "Well if I can go just please let someone check on her" He ignored Linkara's imply to leave her be. She was hurting and Critic wanted someone to comfort her or make her come back so he could. Then Linkara's hand was on his shoulder, Critic looked up despite the pain and smiled. He was glad he earned so much respect and trust from his coworkers/friends.

"I think Linksano can explain better than anyone" Morpheus replied to Maleficent's question. He honestly was just as confused and amazed as she probably was. As much as he wanted to know he was a bit too cowardly to ask that. He was more into the knowledge of different electronical devices.

Snob said nothing. All he did was smile. He smiled gladly for the critic was breathing and awake. The danger passed. As much as Chick's outburst made him uncomfortable nothing would stop Snob from feeling a huge weight be lifted from his shoulders
