Two days. It had been two days since their attempted rescue mission, and they still didn’t have their hostages back. Now Patch had gone to join them. And Pinocchio had gotten away.

Bearing all of this in mind, Maleficent walked onto the battlefield with a certain air of determination about her. The fairy was certain that if she had been there, she could have stopped Patch from getting captured, and so if she went to get him now, they couldn’t lose. That didn’t mean she was exempt from training. Even the Mistress of All Evil needed to take advantage of the chance to improve her skills.

Besides, beating someone just might make her feel better.

Spotting Grimhilde training with a sword, Maleficent lifted her staff and sent a small bolt of lightning her way. It was harmless, designed to do little more than give her a mild shock.

[That Chick With The Goggles]

Grimilde jumped back as the lightning struck the ground in front of her. She turned seeing Maleficent and let out a chuckle. She was envious of her friend's power wishing she didn't have to rely on just potion magic. She smiled walking over to her.

"That was an impressive light show. Care to train me? I know there's sorcerors on the other side. Next time I run into Facilier or one of the others I want to be prepared." said Grimhilde.

She paused reconsidering something.

"I'm sorry about Patch. If you'd stayed we might have kept him safe. But without you here someone who stayed behind could have been hurt or killed. We're only lucky we had a few people injured and Iheart seemed to suffer the worst of it." said Queen Grimhilde.

She turned glancing at the girl being cared for by Splinter before glancing back at Maleficent ready to train.

"This is the great practice I've ever had in my life." said Chester.

He kept swinging his sword around following 90's Kid and Paw's examples.

"You only kept it secret to make sure Critic didn't get hurt worse trying to help with the rescue. We all agreed it was the right thing to do. I know it won't make Critic happy but at least it kept him safe. And you make sure no one else was caught. It could have been worse but you made sure it wasn't." said Nani.

Linksano smiled listening to him before Sherlock grabbed his hand and he felt himself flipped on his back. He laughed dusting himself off.

"Well I stand corrected. You know your stuff. Perhaps you can train me some of what you've learned?" asked Linksano.

(ooc: Not sure if this is what you wanted. I figured Sherlock would do something like that.)

Goggles nodded glancing at Linkara and Critic arguing with Iheart before back at Spoony.

"Linkara has a magic gun right? Would your anti-magic gun neutralize his or would the two guns cancel each other out? Cause if something like that happened you two might want to stay apart from each other in battle so you don't end up weakening each other." said Goggles.

Marzgurl listened to Spoony talk curious about the anti magic gun.

"She makes a good point. How did you make a antimagic gun anyway?" asked Marzgurl.

"Oh ok that 's fine with me ." Rachel said to Lottie happily and began to practise alone with her knife. Swing, stab , poke , slash and dig , Rachel did the actions with her knife , Green eyes scanned the knife as she did the actions again . Rachel said , she was really improved . Rach was pretty good at it but she needed the bamboo stick again .

"Ok of course you will do good Kiara ." Sarafina said , then her dark green eyes saw that Kiara rolled and leaped next to Sarafina then , the old creamy lioness did her thing , she croughed in the grass then fliping the cub and pinning Kiara on the ground by her back . "So Kiara I think I 'll teach you the pinnig trick ." Sarafina said smirking m raising one eye brow.

[Linkara]

Linkara grinned slightly as IHeart was carried off by Splinter. "Hey, if you steal my hat, I'll have go Adamantium Rage on you." He looked awkwardly at the Critic, not being sure whether or not to talk to him. Eventually he nodded, and said "I'm really sorry."

Harvey gasped, managing to block each blow with the sword, but only just "Wow! That is very, very good." He then knocked the sword out of her hand. "Now let's work on defence, just one moment."

Paw grinned, clapping both of them on the backs "Good work. Your doing a lot better. Now then, practise that for a few minutes mpre and then we'll move on to something else.

[IHeart]

90's kid nodded and did what paw asked. He said while practising "Those bad guys will eat their hearts out soon! We'll nail them!" He nearly poked a tree but he dodged it quickly

Sherlock nodded "Certainly. First you must find a weak spot within the body" He then observed Linksano himself as he spoke "Then you need to find a way to distract them such as talking or throwing something at them. Target the weakness then when they defend their weakness grab the strong parts"

"Heard that!" IHeart snapped teasingly. Then both her and Splinter went to the medical bay and splinter sternly replied "Stay here understand? You are in no condition at all. If you need us use this" Splinter then gave her a small beeper that had a small food label on it "This was made by Donatello. If you need anything I have a small device of my own that'll bring me here to help you. Only use it when needed"

"OK thanks Splinter" IHeart replied gratefully. She indeed was grateful especially considering her place

Critic now felt bad for yelling at Linkara. They only were trying to help. That's all they were ever doing. He still was upset about it but he felt understanding now. Besides, IHeart was his friend and it took her a lot of effort to say the simple words to break it up. Critic held his hand out and replied "It's alright. I'm sorry myself. I shouldn't be pointing fingers"

Spoony responded to Goggles first "Yeah. It's the exact opposite so we'll try not to get to close. You never know with this baby can do. She's a touchy one" Spoony then responded to Marzgurl "I invented it. I guess there's still some of that Insano intelligence I guess, but it's not enough to start wanting to bomb things don't worry"

Lottie nodded again but then she was confused when harvey took the sword from her. "I'm confused. Why let go of a weapon? I know it's for defense but weapons are defensive things themselves aren't they?"

Snob was grateful and responded as such "Thank you. I needed a slight courage boost" He then replied asking politely "Mind if I practice more with you? I think it's better having a partner"

[Linkara]

"Exactly Lottie. Sometimes a sword wouldn't be able to save you in a couple of cases. Which is why-" he produced his pistol and led Lottie deep into the wood. "-you need to learn how to fire a gun. Here-" He pointed it at a tree "-aim just above that hole. Pull the trigger."

Linkara tapped Critic at the shoulder. "Don't worry. I also feel incredibly annoyed at the fact we had to ignore you. I just wanted to keep you safe."

"Indeed 90's Kid." Paw grinned "Indeed"

Maleficent frowned at Grimhilde’s light-hearted reaction to her display of power.

“This isn’t a light show,” she practically hissed. “It’s lightning that, when directed properly, can kill you where you stand if your reflexes aren’t fast enough. Had I a mind to, I could have done just that before you had time to move.”

Maleficent was well aware that she probably sounded harsh, but in her mind it was necessary. They had already lost three soldiers and several were rather badly injured. All could have been avoided if they had been better trained, and the fairy didn’t wish to lose anyone else. Manpower was not a guarantee of victory, but it would certainly be a boost.

“I can. However, you have to take it seriously and put in an effort. Should you fail to, I will know.” Her eyes fell to the sword in Grimhilde's hand, and she pushed back memories of her defeat. “Do you have the faintest idea how to use that thing?”

She ignored the comments about Patch altogether. No sense spiking her blood pressure up needlessly.

[Queen Grimhilde]

"Yes. And make them pay for what they did to Iheart, Critic and Ma-Ti. And for capturing our pals. No one hurts my friends and gets away with it." said Chester.

He knew was probably one of the least threatening members of the army. But he hated seeing Critic so unhappy. And he was glad to see him back on his feet. But Iheart she was in so much pain. He hated to see that. They'd make them all pay for what they've done. Chester began swinging his sword a fit faster swinging at a branch cutting it. He was so surprised he didn't move as it landed on top of him knocking him to the ground.

"Ow. Who put that tree there?" said Chester.

"Interesting strategy. Talking however doesn't work for very long unless you can throw them off guard somehow. I've tried that before. But throwing something could work. Like a dagger or a rock. Or something bigger if I had it." said Linksano.

Goggles nodded.

"That's good. Well as long as you're careful we got two powerful guns on our side to help take out those sorcerers." said Goggles.

Marzgurl listened to Spoony as he said he made it. She nodded not sure what to say to him mentioning Insano. She knew while Insano was in his body it wasn't Spoony anymore than when he put on the Black Lantern ring. So she couldn't blame him for what Insano did or would do.

"You think you can make any more of those? They might be useful since we have a few sorcerers in that army." said Marzgurl.

"You're the second in command of this army. Of course you're doing a great job. If you need to be reminded of that I'll be happy to do it once and awhile." said Nani.

She smiled glad she cheered him up a bit. She wanted to forget about Morpheus at least for awhile and focus on training. She knew if she thought about it too much she wouldn't be able to focus. And she wanted to be ready for the next rescue attempt.

"Sure. I need a training partner. i wish I'd done this sooner. Lilo and Stitch had always run off to fight the experiments or Gantu. Maybe if I learned how to fight I could have helped them once and awhile." said Nani.

Grimhilde nodded listening to Maleficent's advice. Maleficent had more experience than her in fighting.

"Your attack took me by surprise. I didn't mean to sound like I wasn't serious. And you're right. If this had been a real battle I'd probably be dead." said Queen Grmihilde.

She smiled gratefully as Maleficent agreed to train her.

"Don't worry. I'll give it my best effort. While I'm great at making potions I know those could be destroyed quite easily by a sorceror. I don't have your magical abilities to rely on so I must train myself to fight. I was just trying to get used to having a sword in my hand. Back home I had a huntsman and guards to protect me but I never really had any enemies aside from Snow White and the dwarves in my world. So I never needed to fight then. But I do here." said Queen Grimhilde.

She noticed Maleficent didn't mention Patch. She decided not to bring it up for now not wanting to upset her while they were fighting.

Maleficent nodded calmly. Grimhilde sounded as though she had lived a somewhat sheltered lifestyle, having been protected by others and never needing to do so herself. At least she was willing to learn.

Besides, this was just the thing she needed to get her mind off of Patch.

“Potions can be useful in certain situations, yes, but they cannot be relied on for everything, especially against someone who can use magic. Unfortunately, learning magic isn’t an option for you, so we’ll have to manage with the sword. First we’ll test your reflexes, then we’ll see how you do with retaliation.”

With no further warning, she pointed her staff at the queen once more and a bolt of lightning shot out of the emerald-colored orb. Her dark red lips twisted into a smirk as she waited to see how the other woman would react. Hopefully, this time she would be able to recognize the potential danger.

[Queen Grimhilde]

Grimhilde dodged it narrowly avoiding it. She frowned realizing she needed to be more agile. If she'd hesitated just a couple seconds longer she'd be out cold or worse. She had to improve to keep herself alive and to help the army. She also wanted to make up for her failure in losing Patch to Facilier and Mechakara. If she'd been faster maybe she'd have gotten to him in time.

"I need to work on my speed. Have you got any pointers?" asked Grimhilde.

[IHeart]

90's kid nodded, just as mad about IHeart as Chester was. "Dude. Whoever kicked her up like that is totally on my aim and fire list" With that he made a karate pose with the training sword. Then he replied to Chester "I don't know man. Trees are weird sometimes"

Snob was happy Nani treated him respectfully as well as nicely. Maybe things were turning up. Glad to hear she would train with him he picked up his sword and replied jokingly "Enguarde! Right?"

Spoony shrugged, honestly not sure. He looked to both girls who were apparently really impressed with him. He looked to his gun and replied "I really think I can try. We will need more of these. I'll see what I can do" Spoony checked the gun then aimed for a practice target thing again and blasted it right in the middle

"Ah. Very good. You do have to find a weapon. Such as your what you call lazer guns. I say we use those then afterwards we learn more ways of stealth shall we?" Sherlock holmes asked Linksano. He was liking the scientist more and more

Lottie smiled and took the gun, gently she aimed at the tree and blasted it on the side. She then giggled and replied "Like that? Is that how you do it?"

Critic shook Linkara's hand and replied "Let's just get back to training and just not worry about it anymore. If for anyone's sake IHeart's. Or for each other cause I really do think of you as a friend"

[Dr. Linksano/Wayne Schlumper]

Chester nodded shoving the branch off of him and resumed training next to Paw and 90's Kid.

"Well at least we had some fun paying them back." said Chester.

He remembered Paw was there and tried to correct himself.

"I mean we will have some fun paying the back." said Chester.

He hoped he bought it as he kept swinging.

"Sure. But don't go too easy on me. I may be a beginner but I want to get stronger." said Nani.

She didn't know if he was an expert with the sword or not. But she was getting surprised at how good some of them were and how quickly everyone was improving.

Goggles nodded resuming firing the target from her laser pistol.

"Well my aim's improving. Too bad we can't have moving targets. Cause our enemy's not going to be standing still." said Goggles.

To her surprise her target started swaying a bit.

"I guess Linksano programmed it to respond to voice command." said Goggles.

She began firing at the moving target getting a few hits in and missing and hitting the ground behind hit a couple times.

Marzgurl nodded glad Spoony could make some more. Anything could help them in this war. She just hoped Dr. Insano didn't make anything on his side. Maleficent was a sorceress and Linkara had magical items. With a magic gun they could weaken both of them. They had to be prepared for anything Insano and the others might use against them.

"We need to make sure not to lose them as well. We might not have as many sorcerors over here but Maleficent and Linkara could be weakened by those guns. So we need to put safeguards in so the bad guys can't use them." said Marzgurl.

She resumed firing as well trying to aim the target. Unlike Goggles she wanted to improve her aim before making her target move.

"I've tried the sword before against Master Splinter. He's a ninja master one of the best swordsman we've got in our army. But I do enjoy lasers more. I'm used to them." said Linksano.

Linksano nodded when Sherlock mentioned using stealth.

"Well why don't we head over to the target field with Spoony and the girls. That way we won't hurt someone if we misfire." said Linksano.

Maleficent’s smirk changed to a frown. Grimhilde had waited far too long to dodge the lightning. Another second more, and she would have been burnt to a crisp, leaving her at the mercy of her attacker.

“I would suggest running to increase speed. However, it will do you no good if you don’t use it. You can’t wait around when you think you’re about to be attacked. In addition, a part of your mind has to be focused on getting in attacks yourself.”

An idea came to the fairy.

“But why tell you when I can show you?”

Bright white lightning bolts shot rapid-fire from the staff. While they were unable to kill, they would still hurt if hit with. Maleficent would see how Grimhilde handled them before changing into her dragon form.

Rachel still practised with her knife she still stabbed , poked ,swinged and slashed . Rachel tried to improve , green eyes scanned the Woodlands and the spoiled woman sighed , maybe she will take a break now . Rach wanted to improve but what she is going to do , Rachel thought in her head .

[Queen Grimhilde]

Grimhilde nodded listening to her advice. She had to be faster and ready to retaliate when she had the opportunity. When Maleficent attacked again she dodged it with time to spare. She knew hesitating wouldn't do much good if you couldn't predict your opponent's movements. Maleficent was using lightning but her next opponent could use fire or ice attacks. So she had to be ready for anything. She gasped catching her breath. She wasn't out of shape by any means and had walked around her castle a bit every day. But she wasn't use to this kind of activity. She had to feel used to it so she could be of help in this war.

"Perhaps you should try a different spell. They're might try fire or ice. I want to see how well I can dodge those as well." said Queen Grimhilde.
