An Unwelcome Delivery

[Ma-Ti]

(January 20. Mid-morning. Open to everyone minus the kids characters. Set before the rescue & battle thread. The tape's arrival and watch thread.)

Ma-Ti walked out of the house to check the mail. He pulled out a bunch of bills, coupons, and found a package addressed to the Critic. He glanced at the other end to see it was from Ask That Guy's address. He put his ear to it deciding it wasn't a bomb. He shook as something rattled in it. He walked into the house dropping most of the mail on the kitchen table for Critic too look at later.

Chester, Nani, Linksano, Jasmine, Roses, Chester, Grimhilde, Marzgurl, Elisa, and Stone were all scattered in the living room sitting on sofas, chairs, and the floor eating breakfast while watching a movie on tv.

Roses looked up as Ma-Ti arrived.

"Anything good in the mail?" she asked.

Ma-Ti turned holding up the package he got.

"Critic got this. It sounds like a video tape but I'm not sure." said Ma-Ti.

Maleficent was curled up in a padded armchair a little ways away from the others, drinking tea and watching the movie when Ma-Ti came in with the mystery package. Curious, she set her mug down on the coffee table and rose to get a better look. Her eyes went to the return address – Ask ThatGuy – and her mouth thinned.

“What business does he have sending that?” she mused. The dark fairy was wary of the innocent-looking package, thinking that it might perhaps be some kind of weapon.

Why did he have to bring it inside? she thought, shooting Ma-Ti an agitated glance.

“Someone should tell Critic about this,” Maleficent remarked, glancing around at the others in the room. She certainly wasn’t going to do it. She was the Mistress of All Evil, not a messenger.

[Spoony]

"No worries. I got it!" Spoony replied walking into the room. He nodded to everybody and held a finger up as if to say "hold it" and walked upstairs to Critic's main bedroom where of course critic slept. Spoony tapped Critic on the shoulder and replied "Package for you... It's from him"

Critic got up instantly and practically ran downstairs. Critic nervously but firmly asked Ma-Ti "Give the package to me. It could be some kind of trap"

IHeart and Snob and 90's kid were watching the movie bored then the package arrived and IHeart was the first to get up and she responded rubbing her head in memory "Knowing ask thatguy it's a fake bloody hand or something. Like a prank"

"Don't gross me out babe. I just had breakfast" 90's kid joked back at the same time was being serious about. He held his stomach remembering his cereal

Snob looked to Critic and replied "Be careful with it. I can't trust those guys. Especially when tommorrow is the battle"

[Ma-Ti]

Ma-Ti turned as Critic arrived. He handed it to him nervously.

"It's not ticking so I thought it wasn't a bomb. Maybe it's a message or something." said Ma-Ti.

Linksano pulled a device out of his pocket and scanned it to make sure it was safe.

"Ma-Ti's right. It's not a bomb. It's a video tape. Talk about low tech. He couldn't have sent a blueray or a dvd." said Linksano.

"If it is a tape maybe we should watch it." said Ma-Ti.

XXXX

"Yeah. Maybe it has information about Glasses and the others." said Chester.

"Goggles." corrected Roses.

"Yeah Goggles." Said Chester.

"Well if Linksano says it's safe open it. Maybe there is something we need to see on it." said Marzgurl.

[IHeart]

Spoony turned to Chester with a glare that could kill a dog. Mispronoucing a name was one thing but forgetting the name of a ally, a ally spoony cared for very much, was a different story. He was about to give him a piece of his mind when IHeart went over and patted his shoulder, giving him a message to not let it bother him. Spoony calmed down a tad and IHeart went over to Chester and whispered in his ear "I know you have a problem remembering things but make sure you remember her name being goggles. Spoony's not as patient as I am"

90's kid gulped "Dudes. Are you sure we should watch it?" 90's kid went behind Linksano in fear. 90's kid then replied "No way in hell I'm going to leave without my body stuck with my head"

"Relax 90's kid" IHeart assured then she turned to the others "It probably is information as well as some warning they want to show us. I say watch it"

Snob went over to Critic and replied "The sooner we find out what the tape is the sooner we get the whole thing over with. Let's just watch it. I'm probably open to suggestions"

"We'll watch it. No matter what it says though, don't believe a word Ask Thatguy says. He's lied to us before and this tape can totally be a lie. So keep your minds open alright?" Critic replied firmly and cynically to his team. He then opened the package and took the old movie out for the moment to put the tape in his old VCR. He then sat down and replied softly "Remember guys. Whatever Ask Thatguy says is doubtful to be true ok?"

IHeart nodded and sat next to him and Spoony nodded as well sitting to Critic's other side. Snob breathed and sat on the floor nervously while 90's kid hugged Linksano "Linksano! I'm scared man"

[Ma-Ti]

Chester's eyes widened at Spoony's glare and nodded as Iheart warned him.

"I'll remember that." whispered Chester.

He didn't want to upset someone who had a lot of weapons and knew how to use them.

"It's probably just a message. Nothing to worry about." said Linksano.

He sat back down ready to watch what Ask That Guy had to say. When 90's Kid said he was still afraid Linksano turned to him.

"Don't worry. It's just a message. It can't hurt us." said Linksano.

"Exactly. It's probably just full of lies. There's nothing that they can possibly say to upset us." said Roses.

"Well here we go. It's about to start." said Elisa.

"I hope it's good news. If something happened to Morpheus I..."

Nani trailed off looking sad.

Stone who was sitting next to her put his hand on her shoulder.

"It'll be alright. No matter what they say we'll get him back. We'll get them all back." said Stone.

Marzgurl remained silent curious to what the message was.

Jasmine and Grimhilde both sat by Maleficent. While Jasmine was worried what was on the tap Grimhilde was not. Grimlhilde sighed turning to address the group.

"It's just a video tape. Nothing to be scared of. You're acting like a bunch of frightened children." said Grimhilde.

The tape started playing as Dr. Smith came on screen.

"Seven days. You only have seven days left to live." said Dr. Smith.

"This is worse than a bomb. They cursed us!" said Chester freaking out.

He turned and ran right into the door and fell over.

Marzgurl sighed as Chester ran into the door. She glanced at the tape and then at Critic.

"They do have sorcerors on their side. Do you really think they cursed us?" asked Marzgurl.

(ooc: Hope it's okay to start the tape. Coudln't resist using that line. xd)

[Nostalgia Critic]

(OCC: All good. Tis alright)

"Nani. Stone. Good to see you guys. We hope so too" Critic replied then ignoring all the side comments he turned narrowing his eyes at the fact Dr. Smith threatened a curse upon them. Critic turned to Marzgurl "Again. Don't trust the tape. It could be full of lies Marzgurl. Just let it play" He then saw Ask Thatguy enter and he growled in complete anger and hatred

90's kid nodded calm about it then Dr. Smith's line made him scream loudly and he charged for the door after Chester and collided into it as well. He then passed out right on top of his bum buddy.

Sherlock entered and sat right next to Stone. He calmly responded whispering "No need to explain. I heard everything upstairs. I suppose you don't mind after the tape is over I observe it and such. To make sure they speak lies"

IHeart facepalmed and then she gasped fearfully as Ask Thatguy entered the tape. She hugged herself frighteningly. She turned to Critic who patted her shoulder and spoony who simply assured her with a smile. Spoony growled though once Ask Thatguy's enterance to the tape was on and he muttered "You girlfriend stealing bastard"

"Oh we're joking. You're not going to die. However we do want to send you some special homemade clips over the fates of Morpheus, Patch and Nostalgia Chick. Dr. Smith" Ask thatguy on the tape turned to Dr. Smith "Would you be so kind as to show our enemies the prisoners progress?"

[Elisa/Maven Of The Eventide]

Marzgurl nodded. She immediately frowned as Ask That Guy showed up calling a joke.

"That was not funny." said Marzgurl, annoyed.

Roses frowned at the joke as well.

"I don't believe this. I feel like I'm on Punked or back in high school." said Roses, sighing.

Stone nodded glancing at the video.

"Well they're lying right off the bat. We should just watch and see what else they have to say." said Stone.

Elisa frowned as well.

"Just get on with it." said Elisa.

XXXX

"That's just awful. I don't know if I want to watch this anymore." said Nani.

Dr. Smith nodded.

"Yes. I do hope you enjoy this wonderful video. We had a lot of fun making it." said Dr. Smith.

Dr. Smith chuckles pressing a button as the screen fades. It returns focused on the jail cell. Several villains are gathered around the cell as they're taunting Morpheus, Chick, and Patch. Dark Nella and Dr. Smith walk in. Dr. Smith fixes the door and is watching. Mechakara immediately walks to the dog.

"I'm going teach that dog a lesson." said Mechakara.

He reaches for Patch but Chick jumps in the way only to be thrown aside. Mechakara then grabs Patch and walks away. Dark Nella grabs Chick and vanishes with her.

The screen shifts back to Dr. Smith and Ask That Guy.

"We unfortunately didn't film the next parts with them. But we kept them around for too long anyway. You see Mechakara killed the dog and Dark Nella killed Chick. But the best part is what happens next." said Dr. Smith chuckling.

Ma-Ti grabbed the remote pausing it trying to process the information.

"No. Chick and Patch can't be gone. They just can't." said Ma-Ti.

He collapsed to the ground dropping the remote as he began to cry.

Elisa immediately burst into tears.

"No. It can't be true. She can't be gone. She can't be." said Elisa.

Stone walked over and hugged her as she cried. He was crying as well.

"I came to rescue her. I should have come sooner." said Elisa.

"It's not your fault. We didn't think they'd actually do it." said Stone.

Roses felt herself tear up as well.

"This can't be real. She can't be gone. And Patch.... he was just a puppy." said Roses.

Linksano was crying as well as he wiped his tears away with his hankerchief.

"They're lying. They have to be." said Linksano, trying to convince himself.

Marzgurl just remained silent mourning the loss of her friends. She wished it was a lie like Linksano said but what would they have to gain by lying about that. They hadn't even tried to make them surrender or do a prisoner exchange when they had Pinocchio.

Nani burst into tears as well.

"I can't believe this. That poor dog. He was so young. And Chick. She was one of the nicest people I've met. They can't be gone." said Nani.

(ooc: Wow. I'm tearing up myself and I know it's fake. Guess it shows how attached you can get to characters.)

[IHeart]

(OCC: Yeah. It does)

Critic was still immensely doubtful but the tape was no easier to bare or watch. He almost jumped out of his seat when Chick was taken by Dark Nella to god knew where. It caused him to tear up immediately thinking Dark Nella would have no boundries to make Chick suffer and it scared him. Then Patch was claimed to be dead, which made him tear up a bit more due to Patch being too young to perish off. He then saw the others cry and try to tell him that they were starting to believe the battle was futile

In hurt and outrage, Critic instantly slammed the coffee table so hard it almost shook at his touch. He shouted as tears poured in his face "They're lying! I know it! Don't you believe a word they're saying I said. Patch and Chick are alive and Morpheus is too! These reactions are exactly what they want from us! Do not give them the satisfaction!" He wiped his tears, certain of that but still shocked of how cruel the enemies really were. He breathed and talked more calmly "Ask Thatguy has been one to show horrible things but them often being fake. We're going with the rescue mission anyway and if the three really are dead, we'll find the kidnappers responsible and take them down as if they were alive. Understand?"

IHeart sobbed in horror and guilt. She litterally curled herself up into a ball and wailed in pure sadness over the three prisoners. She was trying not to believe it but the tape showed Chick and Patch being taken and not coming back. Morpheus' fate wasn't seen yet but already it was enough. She then stopped shocked at Critic shouting at them to not listen nor believe it. She nodded but the tears still flowed "We're trying Critic. It's just.... How can they be so cruel anyway?!"

Snob found himself tearing up and tears flowed like a river. He took off his glasses and quickly rearanged himself trying to keep it together for the team. He still cried but he breathed as Critic's outburst rang in his ears. He stood up patting Critic on the shoulder and replying as if to ensure and confirm Critic's claim "Critic's right. We don't know if they really are telling the truth. We can only watch the rest and wait for tomorrow to really see. We can't give up on the prisoners just because one tape shows a villain's side to the story"

Spoony himself, who was focused on goggles, completely forgot about her for only a moment to process the information shown to him. He saw Ma-Ti fall to the floor in anguish and spoony then lost it. The tape looked so real, if chick and patch were dead and morpheus being next, what the hell were they doing to goggles? The thought made him burst into tears not JUST because of goggles but the horrors of death and pain the three other prisoners were supposedly having. Spoony then looked to IHeart and felt even worse. IHeart's sadness was like a cancer for the eyes, horrible to witness and bare. He quickly went over and hugged her tightly, shushing her and trying to comfort her

Sherlock was beside himself. He wasn't crying but his face showed more shock and horror than sadness. This was probably because the prisoners he never really got to know but heard about but still, the information was harder for the others to bare so he joined them in the processing. Sherlock then noticed some slight mishaps, Mechakara was holding patch and walking off but he seemed to be hiding small items in his pockets for the pockets were slightly more stuffed. It seemed far too small to be guns or even tazers so he assumed they were probably enough for acessories. He stood up and replied "I completely agree with Critic. They are lying. I can see it in Ask Thatguy's facial expressions and also the robot cyborgs. The robot was much more calmer and only picked off the puppy so he could keep him, not kill him. The face tells more than the eye can process"

90's kid woke up and saw some of the tape and couldn't process it at all so he just absorbed and curled himself into a ball of sadness himself

After Rachel watched the tape she was terrifed about this but then she cried from being nervous and she didn't know what to do .
Rachel looked at 90 's Kid and she said :"Honey , I know that its sad."Rachel said as tears came from her green eyes and she said:"I hope we 'll save them."Rachel said and came closley to 90 's Kid , she thought maybe she will hug him to comfort him . Her brown hair with blonde stripes blew to her side , The spoiled woman couldn't believe that horrble thing that the villains do . Rach still looked at him .

[Nani Pelaki]

"Wait. What about Morpheus? They didn't say he was dead." said Nani.

She walked over pressing play on the remote worried what happened. And then she wished she didn't. Black Lantern Spoony began pummeling Morpheus and she just clenched her fists in anger.

"Morpheus. He's beating him up. If he doesn't stop he could kill him." said Nani.

"This is too awful. I can't watch. It hurts too much." said Ma-Ti.

He turned looking away not wanting to see anymore.

Elisa had composed herself enough as she and Stone sat back down watching the film. But they both were horrified at what was going on.

"He helped train us. If it wasn't for him we'd all be dead long ago. We have to get him back." said Elisa.

Stone nodded.

"Yeah. He'd do it for us in a heartbeat." said Stone.

"But it might be a trap. They know we'll come since they gave us the video. We got to be careful." said Marzgurl.

Nani had enough and pressed the fast forward button letting it play as Mechakara entered the room with a familiar collar.

"I thought you'd like to know I finished off that poor dog. I put it out of is misery. It wasn't of use to us anyway." said Mechakara.

He tossed the bloody collar and tag onto the floor.

"I do hope he wasn't that important to you." said Mechakara.

Nani gasped as the realization Mechakara had killed Patch. She watched heartbroken seeing Morpheus burst into tears.

"Why would they tell him unless it wasn't real? They've already told us on the video." said Nani.

"He vaporized him. I can't believe he was ever Pollo. That robot has no heart." said Linksano.

Chester watched horrifed at Morpheus's beating and learning Patch and Chick were dead.

"Now I wish this was a curse." said Chester sadly.

[Spoony]

Spoony while still hugging IHeart, saw BLS and cursed loudly at the site of him "Damn you son of a bit---" He then saw him mercilessly beat up morpheus and he cringed "Good god, they allowed him to be beaten like a pig" He then saw mechakara return with a bloody collar and spoony gagged "Oh my god! Yeah, Holmes explain that!"

Sherlock put his arm gently around Nani "It's very quick and easy to see this as real and at first glance it is" He didn't mean to sound blunt but he was used to this so much it was like lightining to simply explain. He pointed to the blood "That is not a dog's blood that is simply a forest animal's blood. A dog's blood is slightly lighter than a wild animal's due to domestication. In other words, they're fooling morpheus and us simply out of spite and hatred. They want you to think they're dead. I know it sounds stupid and possibly blunt but I've seen a case like this many times"

Spoony said nothing more both believing and not believing sherlock. He then saw IHeart lift her head but then burst into tears all over again and Spoony hugged her even more trying in vain to comfort her. Spoony replied "These sons of bitches. Fuck these goddamn bastards. I swear to god I'm going to pummel them tomorrow for whatever they have"

Critic watched in horror and shook his head "No. Patch cannot be dead. He's alive and I'm going to find that out!" He just growled as the tape continued and he put his hand in his face trying to ignore it. He hated it so much the torture and pain Chick, Patch and morpheus were forced to go through. Critic shook his head, still certain of the fact they were all lying

Snob covered his mouth making a throwing up sound as the bloody collar came up. He was also tempted to snap at Sherlock at all his so called detailing of the blood but he couldn't. The tape was too much for even him and he saw some snuff films in his exploitation career

90's kid allowed rachel to hug him and just took it in. He said nothing but only looked at her with a weak look

Grimhilde had watched silently not believing it herself. She didn't have a personal attachment to them but she could see why the others were upset. Perhaps she should reveal the Magic Mirror regardless of the consequences. They would need real proof if they were going to believe they were alive. And her Magic Mirror should do it. She waited though for the tape to end to see if it was just all another bluff.

Stone gagged himself nearly throwing up at the site of blood. When he heard Holmes description he nodded. It did make sense but there was still that doubt at the back of his mind that Patch and Chick were dead.

"Then we've got to rescue Morpheus and find out for sure. If Patch and Chick are still alive they'll be at the house." said Stone.

Elisa just watched as Mechakara mocked Morpheus before leaving and other villains mocked him as well before Black Lantern Spoony just started laughing. Then the video ended as Dr. Smith left the room. Dr. Smith and Ask That Guy were now back on the screen.

"I hope you enjoyed this recording. I had a lot of fun making it. I bet you're wondering what became of poor Nostalgia Chick." said Dr. Smith.

He stepped aside as Nostalgia Chick stood behind him only she'd been turned into a statue in a defeated look.

Dark Nella stepped forward.

"I turned her to stone. Now I'm finally rid of her forever." said Dark Nella.

She smiled and shoved the statue over which shattered into pieces on the ground.

Elisa immediately burst into tears again before reaching for a sword.

"I'm going to kill them." said Elisa.

Stone turned grabbing her arm.

"No. Getting yourself killed won't help her." said Stone.

"But she's gone. She's gone." said Elisa, dropping the sword as she just burst into tears.

Grimhilde, Ma-Ti, Marzgurl, Chester, Roses, Jasmine, Nani, and Linksano all just sat there in shock at what they'd seen.

"No. She can't be gone. She can't." said Roses finally speaking.

(ooc: The statue is fake conjured by Dark Nella to add emphasis to the message.)

Having said her bit, Maleficent settled back into “her” padded chair and, aside from shifting slightly when Grimhilde and Jasmine sat on its arms, didn’t move further. Gold eyes settled back onto the television screen as the videotape was placed in the VCR and widened in surprise when Dr. Smith and Ask ThatGuy appeared.

What are they playing at?

She soon found out.

Being the Mistress of All Evil, Maleficent was no stranger to violence – she had used more brutal tactics in the past and was quite proud of it. The actions on the tape didn’t faze her.

But the victims certainly did.

The longer the tape played, the wider Maleficent’s eyes became until she found herself vaguely wondering why they hadn’t just burst out of their sockets. When the statue of the Nostalgia Chick was shattered, she winced, her mind going suddenly, painfully to Diablo. And when Mechakara revealed Patch’s bloodstained collar, she actually gasped. Again, thoughts of Diablo filled her. She had failed both of her pets.

No…

Unlike many of the others, Maleficent didn’t cry. Instead, with a final glare at Mechakara’s face, the dark fairy rose from the chair and started towards the door, fully intending to go to the House of Doom and murder the robot.

Rachel hugged him and looked at him in a worried look on her green eyes . Rach only looked at him and comforted him :"Don't worry we will save Patch."Rachel said to 90 's Kid , the spoiled woman hoped that they will save Patch and the others.
