Well. This was… different.
Maleficent had gone into the forest to do some private training when she felt the earth tremble. It had been followed rather quickly by the sound of voices – the voices of her comrades, not too far from where she was standing. Paranoid that the enemy had taken their lingering weakness to plan another attack, the fairy had rushed to follow the sounds and now found herself met with this… this giant metal monstrosity.
Upon seeing it, Maleficent blinked multiple times, as though this would somehow change the image her eyes were looking at. Needless to say, it didn’t work, and for the first time since childhood, she was unable to comprehend what was in front of her. She wasn’t afraid of it, per se – something about the giant forbid it – merely confused.
Noting that her allies seemed to be somewhat at ease with this thing – or at least they weren’t openly hostile as she had seen them be with enemies – the fairy lowered her staff slightly but kept it pointed directly at the metal giant. She was taking no chances.
Without taking her eyes off the giant, Maleficent slowly edged towards Linkara and hissed into his ear, “Exactly what is going on? What does this thing want?”
