Why did you pick him/her?: He's a funny villain who wants to take over the world with spiders.

History:
Dr. Smith was hired by Global Sedition to sabotage he mission. But he's then betrayed as he's stuck on board as the ship heads to the sun. Major West and Professor Robinson decide to use hyperspace to fly through the sun and save themselves. They have to go to sleep for it so they do. And end up in the future as well. The Robinsons find Dr. Smith when they wake up. They also encounter a ship called the Proteus a ship infected with spider creatures. One scratches Dr. Smith. They escape the ship and Major West destroys the ship annoying Professor Robinson. However the shockwave from the explosion sends the ship crash landing onto a nearby planet.
They soon find a replacement for fuel as they go to explore it. However they come across a future Will and a future Dr. Smith who's become one of the spider creatures. Future Will had planned to go back in time to save his family from dying on the planet and getting lost. But Spider Smith or Future Smith reveals he wants to go back and conquer the planet by destroying Jupiter 2, and conquer the planet with his spider race. Professor Robinson battles Spier Smith while Major West returns the rest of the family to Jupiter 2 to try to evacuate.
Professor Robinson stabs Spider Smith in an eggsac releasing the baby spiders who begin eating him. Then he pushes Spier Smith into the time machine's field which kills Smith. The family attempts to escape but the time bubble has made the planet unstable. The ship doesn't have enough power to escape. The stranded John Robinson watched as the ship blows up in the sky. Future Will lets his father John to save his family and he orders Major West to pilot it through the planet's core which propel's the ship to safety. They also brought along the infected Dr. Smith and started hyperdrive to find their way home.
Nostalgia Critic reviewed this movie and Dr. Smith came to talk with him in that review and his Quest for Camelot as the actor who played Dr. Smith also played Ruber. He also had a cameo in Kickassia and was revealed to be Dr. Insano's consultant who wrote Secret of Nimh 2. When people began appearing out of the tv he was pulled out as well. He joins Ask That Guy's team hoping to take over the world with spiders.
