My sister's boyfriend and his family have shown their true colors. They've been treated both of my sisters poorly and made fun of us and our house behind our backs which my sisters have overheard at times. They even threatened to sue for custody several times.

My sister finally gave birth to my niece today. And she still's considering staying with him despite all the drama. She's gone back and forth with wanting to keep the baby and just giving the baby to her boyfriend's family to avoid drama. My sister didn't want to raise her baby there were they smoke, cuss, and yell at each other. I don't blame her one bit.

I hope she decides to keep it and fight for custody. I think she should get it. It's her baby after all. She doesn't want to shut her boyfriend out of her baby's life but he's threatening to do that if he wins which makes me, my other sister, and my mother very upset.

Anyway I'm just so happy right now that my niece is alive that I could care less about my sister's stupid boyfriend and his family. It's a miracle she's alive and in a couple days she'll be home where she belongs.

That's awful, Mechakara. I hope your sister decides to fight for custody - no one should be shut out of their child's life, especially not by the other parent.

On a slightly happier note, congratulations on becoming an uncle.

Thanks. For awhile the doctors thought she'd have brain damage or wouldn't live long after being born. But aside from a minor problem that'll probably affect her vision she's perfectly healthy proving all the doctors wrong. It's a miracle we're glad happened.

A lot of my family wears glasses anyway. My mom and one of my sisters wore them when they were younger and I still wear mine. So maybe she'll end up wearing glasses too.

That 's so terrible Mechakara , I hope your sister will deicede to fight for custody and why her boyfriend is shut her child 's life that so terrible but on the other side and the postive you will be a great uncle and your cousin will love you for who you are .

What a dickhead. That's not a father, that's a dictator. I hope she gets the baby full time or something down that line. I'm so sorry your sister has to deal with that asshole. I feel awful for your sis and prey she wins the battle for your niece. On the other hand, she is VERY mature in considering a deal to allow her boyfriend to have the chance to see his baby, which of course he takes advantage of in the negative way. May god bless your sis for being so mature

Well it turns out my sister's decided to keep the baby. It's sad is my sister knows her boyfriend has treated her badly and she still loves him. I feel sorry for her. But in a couple days my sister and niece will be coming home. I had to stay home and watch the animals while they went but they brought back pictures and she's so cute. I can't wait to see her when she comes home with my sister in a few days.

Well my sister broke up with the guy and is keeping the baby. Hopefully there weren't be any more trouble but her ex-boyfriend's family keeps threatening her, cussing her, and acting more and more crazy. And we only live like 10 minutes from their house so they could bother us a lot if they wanted to. Hopefully they'll back off and leave us alone.

Well the family's still giving her problems talking about trying to get them to marry so they'd have joint custody. They even threw a baby shower..... asking for gift cards and barely gave any presents to melody and it was melody's baby shower. It was basically a "them" shower with melody and the baby just happening to be there. It's also annoying is they just live 10 minutes away so they can come visit more frequently than I wish they could.

my sister didn't put his name on the birth certificate so right now she has sole custody. But he could fight for that in court but we don't know if he'd win or not. i hope my sister can keep the baby.
