Why did you pick him/her?: to give Jake his brother back, and another fun character.

Personality: loyal, protective of his younger brother and cousin, doesn't leave debts unpaid, terrified of losing his mind again so he willingly stays in facilier's army; tries to make it up to jake and the army for his past.
History:
Tom Berenson grew up having a relatively normal life in his home. He graduated high schol and was at coillege. But his life changed for the worse when he joined a club and was enslaved by one o the Yeerks becoming a prisoner in his own body. A few weeks later the Yerk who enslaved him was replaced with another and temporarily possesed his brother Jake. But died before he could give any more information. Tom didn't know who did it but was aware his former master was dead. This made the Yerk inside him more cautious not wanting to end up dead or losing his host. Tom had begged both hosts to not hurt Jake or Rachel or enslave them and he wouldn't fight back. And each of his masters had agreed.
Then one day he woke up to another world and learning of an army. And that Jake was here and a slave. And that he had powers that he could shapeshiift into animal. Learning Jake was one of his enemies the Yerk broke his promise to Tom and snuck into the lab. He managed to steal enough technology and spells to clone himself so he could enslave the army and rebuild the Yerk empire in this world. But his plans were stopped as he wasn't as discreet as he thought. And Tom was sealed away long enough for the Yerk to escape his bo dy trying to get out and was killed by a secret spell. Tom was free for the first time in months and apologized to Malachite, Facilier and Rita. They knew he wasn't in control but they couldn't afford to look weak so Tom was made a slave of the army. Tom reluctantly agreed as long as they didn't punish Jake for anything he did. They had agreed as Jake had been one of the slaves who had adapted so well that they some almost forgot he was a slave. Tom now had to find his brother and reunite with him and make sure Tank treated his brother right. While possessed he had avoided his brother and never spoke to him. Now he had a lot to make up for.

Enemies: The Yerks; other armies.
Plans: reunite with Jake; gain a romance; make amends to the army and to jake.
