Quote: "The burden of the throne has fallen to me. I will do what I must, brother"
Name: Loki II aka King Loki Odinson of Asgard
Age: Thousands of years old
Physical Appearance: Tall, has his hair quite short touching his neck, usually seen in royal green attire. Has a dagger that turns into a spear as his signature weapon(In reality it's Mjolnir in magical disguise to prevent Thor tracking it). His face is relatively clean-shaven but he has a large scar from his cheek to his jawline on the right side of his face. He also has a deep lightning shaped scar on his abdomen, a symbol of Thor attacking him.
Picture(Not required but if you have one it is ok to show it):
Personality:
This version of Loki has similarities to his anti-hero counterpart. He's incredibly crafty, deceitful, manipulative, ambitious and can be sadistic if pushed too far. He has a bad tendency to distrust people and can make assumptions quite quickly. He's got insecurities that come across as a pompous, know-it-all attitude. However, despite these flaws, he's very noble and incredibly heroic. He is incredibly dedicated to his family, his people and his land. He's patriotic, cultured, intelligent and patient, willing to go above and beyond if it means ensuring the safety of others. He's loyal, compassionate, merciful, diplomatic and a natural leader. He's extremely wise and has a sensitive, caring disposition. He likes to avoid conflict, being a pacifist, but he will fight for the greater good. He's not above violence and not above fighting, he will destroy something if he deems it necessary. He's not above killing, especially if it's to ensure evil is stopped. He can be rather cold and is never above flawed tactics to get what he needs. He is also very co-dependent on those he loves, always putting them over himself, almost to the point of a harmful, self-abusive mindset.
History:
Loki was born in Jotunheim, abandoned as a runt. He was taken in by Odin and Frigga as Thor's younger brother. The key difference was Frigga and Odin told him, as a child, of his adoption. So he had known since the very beginning. It brought him closer to his family, knowing he was wanted. He was still very close with his mother but he also had a strong bond with Odin. He was extremely close with Thor when they were children, the two being thick as thieves. However, the expectation of being a king got to Thor's head quite quickly. As the years passed, Thor became stronger while Loki became a master of magic like Frigga. Loki never wished to be king but Thor was paranoid and began distancing himself from his brother. Loki desperately did everything to regain his bond with his brother but Thor just wouldn't budge. Finally, at the human age of 21, Thor was destined to be coronated. Odin knew Thor needed an advisor and chose Loki for the job, deciding to coronate the two princes together. Loki was beyond pleased with this arrangement, hoping it would bring his brother closer to him again. To his shock, Thor was enraged, believing he didn't need anyone telling him what to do. Thor accused Odin of wanting to replace him with his adopted brother. This caused Loki to lose his patience, demanding that he only wanted to be Thor's equal. This caused a fight that would change their lives forever. Thor, in his anger, demanded Loki to fight him on Jotunheim. Loki refused at first, wanting to keep the peace treaty their father made sacred. Then Thor called him a bastard and for some reason, this was too far.
Loki used his magic before anyone could stop him and the two princes fought hard. Thor was victorious but their noise caused the Jotun King to demand them to leave. Thor, on the high of winning, declared a challenge. He got it in the form of Jotuns. Loki panicked, calling Heimdall and the Warriors to rescue them. The Warriors Three and Sif begged Thor to stop but the thunder god was too stubborn. Odin thankfully got involved and rescued everyone. Odin scolded both princes, saying they foolishly caused a war over a silly grudge. Loki was willing to see reason, begging for his father's forgiveness, deciding to set things right. Thor though blamed Loki, saying that this was his plan all along. Odin defended Loki, saying all Loki wanted was to do right by Asgard and believed Thor's accusations to be purely prideful and cynical. Thor refused to see reason and was banished for his troubles. Odin, threw Mjonir to Earth, deciding to give Thor one last chance to redeem himself. If he failed, Loki would inherit the hammer instead. Loki, fully in despair, went to sulk alone. Sif and the Warriors Three pitied Loki but felt Thor was still capable of being reasoned with. Loki went to talk to Odin, desperate to bring his brother back. The stress of war and family turmoil caused Odin to go into Odinsleep. Overwhelmed, Loki turned to his mother for advice. Frigga decided to bring Thor back and finish this war with both of her sons on Asgard. Loki agreed, going down to Earth to find his brother. He found Thor in SHEILD headquarters, mortal and in pain. Loki tried to beg Thor to see reason, offering to take him home despite his father's banishment. But Thor made a different deal: He would come home if Loki stayed on Earth.
Thor claimed that he saw reason, that he wanted to set things right, but he believed that the Jotuns would see Loki as a threat. Due to being a Jotun himself, they would declare Loki a traitor and kill him. Thor claimed that he wanted to protect his brother. To protect his kingdom. Loki, persuaded, agreed if only to bring Thor home. They switched places thanks to the bifrost. Loki stayed on Earth, befriending Darcy, Jane Foster and Selvig. He became even more caring and compassionate, humbled by Jane's wisdom and Darcy's fun-loving nature. Thor, meanwhile, confronted their mother and became King until Odin awakened. Immediately, Thor declared war on Jotunheim and sent a destroyer to kill Loki. Sif, and the Warriors Three, horrified by Thor went to warn Loki. Loki, devastated, raced to find Mjonir and use it, knowing Odin chose him in case Thor failed to redeem himself. Thor tried to stop him, wanting the hammer for himself. Loki though managed to grab it and the hammer transformed into a powerful spear-like weapon. Loki had finally become Thor's equal, but not in status or bond like he wished. But if war was what his brother wanted, then so be it. He raced into Asgard, fighting his brother again but this time to stop Thor from killing an entire race. Thor didn't care, so long as he finally stopped the violent race of Jotuns. Thor and Loki fought long and hard, getting hurt in the process. Thor got blinded while Loki had some scars. Loki wanted to save his brother from falling to the abyss but failed as his brother fell. Odin sadly only saved Loki. The trickster prince became the coronated King of Asgard and mourned the loss of his brother. He had a feeling his brother was alive though when he sensed trouble on Earth. He went to join the Avengers, a small group of people who were trying to stop the Dark Avengers. He befriended the Avengers, aware that they had knowledge of his brother Thor. He had fought the Dark Avengers a few times before he transported here. He knew a few Dark Avengers were here but laid low, just focused on returning home. He can only hope that's possible.
