Personality: He's a scientist and quite intelligent.
History:
Bruce was abused by his father Brian Banner growing up along with his mother. His father viewed him as a monster. His mother tried to escape with Bruce but Brian killed her when he found out. Then told Bruce to not tell anyone. He stayed with his father because he had nowhere else to go and was afraid of him. His father went into a mental institution for a while but was released and hadn't changed much at all. He went to his mother's grave but his father followed and attacked him. Bruce defended himself and shoved him onto his mother's gravestone in self-defense breaking his neck and killing his father. But this was so traumatic for him Bruce forgot this and just thought his father had left him alone.
Bruce experimented on his genes with gamma radiation. It was a failed attempt to copy the super-soldier formula that created Captain America. The program was shut down. But then his notes were stolen. Bruce went back to get answers but was kidnapped by a group of men before he got there. He was drugged and knocked unconscious. When he woke up he was in Afganistan and flung from a car as it blew up. He found Tony Stark also surviving the blasts. They tried to run but were abducted by the men who survived. Bruce was dying and Tony put an arc reactor in Bruce's chest saving his life. Tony was forced to build weapons while Bruce to work on his experiments. Tony was injected with the serum and became Red Hulk. And Bruce gained a prototype mech suit. But they were unable to escape and soon Bruce's suit was upgraded. And he learned he was injected with nanobots that would destroy the arc reactor in his chest if he tried to betray them. Tony stuck around not wanting to abandon his new friend. They soon learned another scientist they were working with was the boss and had set them up. Now forced to work for HYDRA they soon met their teammates the Dark Avengers.
They fought The Avengers a few times. And he accidentally let information slip to the others when he could. To try to foil their crimes, but HYDRA always seemed to be a step ahead and arranged for their escape. Then one day Bruce and Captain HYDRA disappeared. Then they woke up in another world. And joined Ask That Guy's army after learning of the war.

Enemies: Avengers (his universe); other armies.
Plans: fight in the war; gain a romance.
