Running Late (8 Bit Mickey)

(ooc: August 5th. Evening.)

Dominic rushes into the restaurant late. He'd already sent texts saying he'd gotten a bit behind and lost in traffic. As he walked in he saw someone else talking to 8 Bit Mickey. And it looked like he was flirting with him or about to kiss him. In a fit of rage he rushed forward giving the person a black eye and knocking him on his ass.

"Stay away from my boyfriend!" said Dominic.

He paused turning back to 8 Bit Mickey realizing people were now staring as he blushed slightly.

"I guess I overdid it. I'm sorry. I didn't like him being that close to you. I know we just started but I want to be the only one who touches you." said Dominic.

He sat down waving a waiter to get their orders.

The man was embarrassed at being hit but there was already a scene. He blushed and ran out the door to patch his wounds.

[8 Bit Mickey]

8 Bit Mickey was not one to talk about being late for a date. He had been late, so he felt it fair to give Dominic a break. Especially with traffic being the direct cause. The news did warn traffic was bad in the restaurant. As it recently opened and was saved for excellent service. 8 Bit Mickey waited patiently when another, lean man stole Dominic's seat. 8 Bit Mickey was confused when the man flirted playfully "What's a nice boy like you doing by yourself?"

Mickey, trying to prevent a scene, replied gently "I'm waiting for my date"
The man grinned deviously, getting closer "Well looks like I came right on time"
Mickey looked unamusedly, replying firmly "Dude, it's not you. I'm not--"

The man got much closer, gripping Mickey's hand "Come on sweetheart, don't be like that" Mickey sneered, about to punch the guy when Dominic did it for him. Mickey was pleased, and relieved, Dominic came in. Though the audience around them was shocked and somewhat offended. Mickey stood up and replied to the crowd "It's okay, it's okay, it's just a misunderstanding. My boyfriend was helping me out" As the man who flirted with him fled, Mickey went over giving a flirty kiss "Sorry? You just saved me from the most uncomfortable interaction of my life" He kissed him again "My hero deserves some nice dinner" Mickey clicked his fingers "Waiter, we're ready" The waiter chuckled amusedly, going to get some menus and drink suggestions.

Dominic grinned as the other was pleased and spoke up for him in the crowd. People seemed to have calmed down and Mickey even kissed him as well.

"That's good. I guess I made our first date more memorable than I planned on." replied Dominic.

He smiled as the waiter returned with the menus and drink suggestions.

"I guess I am a bit hungry. Do you know what you're having? There's so many good choices. I'm not sure what I want." said Dominic.
