Bittersweet and Strange (Belle, batb characters)

[Beast/Prince Robert]

(ooc: September 1st. Evening.)

Robert was nervous as he activated the program. He'd been taught how and was waiting for Belle to arrive. The others had helped him program it to look exactly like the castle ballroom. He had gotten help with help from some of the genies and sorcerers of the army to recreate their clothes they'd worn in that dance so long ago. He'd surprised it with Belle and told him to come to the lab when she was changed. He stood nervously awaiting with the others.

Fifi smiled as she helped Mrs. Potts and the others get ready. It was so romantic. Almost as good as something Lumiere would come up with. But she wouldn't say that out loud not wanting to hurt any feelings. She hoped perhaps she and Lumiere could spend some time together again soon though. She pulled herself from her thoughts and kept working. After all Belle could show up any second now.

Mrs. Potts grinned as she brought in some food. A couple tables stood to the side with food on them as well as another where he and Belle could sit down and eat later. She thought it was wonderful he was recreating their first dance together. If he couldn't bring her home he'd bring home to her. She was helping the others set up the last finishing touches. They likely wouldn't stay long afterwards. Thanks to the magic of Genie, Fairy Godmother and the otherse the food would stay nice and warm or cool while they danced.

(OCC: Just to be clear, Robert and Belle are married right? Just curious)

"Ah, yes, perfect, everything is in the right place" Cogsworth commented to himself. He, of course, was primarily in charge with assisting Robert with this new program. He had done everything Robert asked. Lumiere of course wanted to help out more but Cogsworth was strict with Robert's demands. Lumiere submitted to a certain degree, as the pressure of being human wasn't on the board anymore. It seemed Lumiere had his mind elsewhere anyway. Cogsworth watched the door, waiting for Belle to arrive "Not to worry Master, I will make sure you know she's coming" No longer than a full 30 seconds later, Belle was walking down. Cogsworth turned to the other members of his team, replying "Places, everyone! Places! She's coming!" He turned to Robert with a smile "Everything is in it's place, master, this should be the perfect evening" He certainly hoped so at least

Lumiere knew he was slacking in his own relationship. Not deliberately but he had grown busy. Fifi though deserved a date just like this one. He made up for it though. While he fixed up this date, he made reservations and surprise gifts for Fifi in his spare time. Now all he had to do was surprise her. But not in this setting, Cogsworth was up their butts making sure his master's evening was perfect. Lumiere though, once Belle was on her way down, decided to have some fun by pulling Fifi closer to him. Lumiere whispered gently in her ear "Ah, romance is also on the menu for tonight, isn't it?" He knew Fifi enjoyed his sense of humor, as it was similar to hers. He hoped he had a little bit of time to get his own fires started. At least before Belle arrived. He then blushed realizing Belle was indeed coming. Lumiere smiled in expectance, turning to Robert "It's been a while since you both had quality time, eh, master?"

Belle, meanwhile, spent some time getting ready. She was excited. It had been too long since she had some good quality time with her family. Yes, to her, the castle folk were part of her family. She especially missed time with her husband. Beast or not, she loved him for who he was. Sure, he wasn't perfect by any means but she still loved him. She had Fifi and Mrs. Potts adjust her corset but she handled the yellow, classic dress herself. Hand tailored by Cinderella and Snow White, the two helped the dress become better than ever. Belle reminded herself to thank those nice girls. She adjusted her hair in the same way it was when she danced with him for the first time. To give Robert a specific surprise of her own. She was nostalgic. That night was one of the best nights of her life. She went down, giggling a bit as Snow cheered encouragingly while Anya, Jasmine and Cinderella playfully teased her. She went down, laughing as Cogsworth and Mrs. Potts were heard announcing her. She opened the door, smiling shyly as Robert waited for her. She curtsied in front of him, wanting to be respectful and replied cheerfully "This looks wonderful"
