Chel is an unapologetically independent spirit. She's quick-witted, charming, confident, suave and energetic. She's loyal, kind-hearted, easy-going and intelligent. Despite her kind, loving nature she has a tendency to play dirty, especially when she's desperate. She can manipulate her way out of any situation and is not above using blackmail to get what she wants. She can be cynical and stern, especially when in a bad mood. She's sarcastic and pretty blunt, having a surprisingly no-nonsense attitude. She has a strong sense of dedication, going out of her way for others.
History:
Chel was born and raised in El Dorado, working for a former brothel alongside her mother. Chel never knew her father due to him dying in wars. Her mother's brothel was shut down thanks to Tzkelkhan's meddling, forcing Chel and her mother to servant-hood. Her mother, too old to work, died of illness leaving Chel orphaned by the time she was 14. Chel had no choice but to steal or do odd-jobs to get by. One day, she stole from a temple and fled, running into Tulio's horse Altivo. She was arrested but released after Tulio demanded it. She returned the favor by keeping Tulio and Miguel's secret and even offered her assistance in exchange for fleeing the country with them. Tulio, and Miguel, eventually agreed, adding her on as a third partner. She quickly gained a friendship with Miguel while simultaneously gaining a romance with Tulio. Despite Tulio's stubborness, Chel persisted and the two became closer than either of them thought they would. Chel became increasingly loyal to the two men as the days went by. Which made it all the more dangerous once she realized Miguel banished Tzkelkhan, resulting in the priest using his magic to attack everyone. The boys defeated him and went separate ways at first. Tulio resumed his plan to go to Spain with her while Miguel chose to stay. Chel was saddened but supported Miguel's decision, only wanting his happiness too. Tzkelkhan returned however to reveal El Dorado to Cortes which would endanger thousands of lives. Tulio and Miguel worked together to destroy the entrance, sacrificing Miguel's desire to stay and Tulio's gold. Chel, Tulio and Miguel then left to commence wandering the world.
One day though, both Miguel and Tulio were missing. Before Chel could properly find them, she was entrapped by magic. Gabriel enslaved her the exact same way he enslaved Tulio, forcing her to be his servant. Chel had felt trapped by this man for years but takes comfort in the fact she isn't alone. She only hopes she, and Tulio, can find a way home. And hope that Miguel is alive and away.
