History:
Ariel grew up with her sisters and father. Her mother died when she was very young. She like many of her sisters have only a few members of her. Arista being the eldest is one of the few to have known their mother the longest out of the sisters. Ariel defied laws about music when she found a hidden music club. She joined it and loved music. When her sisters found out they followed her and eventually so did Marina Del, Ray learning the truth. She got Sebastian fired and arrested along with the band. The girls were grounded to the palace and Marina became his second in command.
Ariel got mad at her father telling him that she didn't remember her mother but she wouldn't want this. Not realizing how much she hurt her father. She then left breaking out the band, Flounder, and Sebastian and leaving Atlantica. Sebastian led them to her mother's music box. Marina came after them intending to kill Sebastian but Ariel got in the way and got hurt. Marina was arrested and Ariel was saved. After revealing she had the music box. Triton listened to it remembering his lost wife and let everyone go reversing his ban on music. Marina and Benjamin and her eels were arrested for their crimes and Sebastian was given his old job back. She also fought off many villains (Evil Manta Ray, Lobster Mobster, and Da Shrimp, Ursula, and more) who wanted to conquer or destroy Atlantica or just cause general chaos.
Soon they began doing concerts for the entire kingdom as Sebastian became the composer as well. Ariel and her sisters often put on concerts learning how to sing and enjoying it. One day Ariel was out exploring finding an old sunken ship. She and Flounder were attacked by a shark and they escaped trapping him temporarily enough to get away. They met Scuttle who told him of the human things she found. A snorfblatt that made music, (a pipe) and s dinglehopper to comb your hair (a fork). When Ariel remembered music she realized they were missing the concert. They rushed back too late to realize the concert was over and everyone decided it was ruined because she wasn't there. She tried to apologize but as Flounder tried to help he accidentally revealed they went to the surface.
Ariel and Flounder went to her grotto where she put the dinglehopper and the snorfblatt in with the rest of her human treasures and sang about the human world and her desire to be a part of it. She then learned of a storm above the sea where she rescued someone who fell overboard as the rest of the crew made it to the lifeboats. She sang to him on the beach glad he was alive but when he woke up she ran away as others came to find him. Leaving Eric searching for the girl with the beautiful voice. Ariel returned home heartbroken until Flounder showed her a statue of Eric she put in her grotto and then Triton found it and destroyed it and many of her human things to try to get through to her. Heartbroken she began crying as Triton realized he might have gone too far and left.
She was approached by Flotsam and Jetsom who bought her to Ursula. Ursula offered her a deal to become human for three days in exchange for her voice. She just had to get the prince to fall in love and give her true love's kiss. If he didn't she turned back into a mermaid and belonged to her. Ariel agreed to do it and after losing her voice and fins and gaining legs she was brought to the surface by Sebastian and Flounder. Scuttle and the pair helped her find some new clothes as she met Eric who brought her to the castle after learning she was mute. Max recognized her but Eric didn't as he hadn't seen her and only heard her voice.
Over the next few days, Eric and Ariel grew closer and almost kissed but were stopped thanks to Flotsam and Jetsom. Ursula realized Ariel was getting closer to succeeding and turned herself into Vanessa and used her shell to disguise her voice as Ariel's and hypnotize Eric into marrying her. Ariel was heartbroken at the news not realizing the girl was Ursula in disguise. Scuttle later saw Vanessa singing in the mirror and her reflection revealed to be Ursula. He tells Ariel, Sebastian, and Flounder. Sebastian goes to get the king and Flounder helps get Ariel to the ship. While Scuttle rounds up as many animal friends as he can to stall the wedding. A fight breaks out during the wedding and Scuttle breaks the necklace returning Ariel's voice to her and breaking Eric's spell. Eric rushes over to Ariel realizing who she really is but before they can kiss the sunsets. Ariel and Ursula both revert to their true forms as Ursula takes Ariel overboard into the sea.
Eric chases after in a boat while Flounder chases after underwater. Sebastian and Triton find the pair but Ursula reveals the contract. Triton tries to destroy it but fails and reluctantly agrees to take Ariel's place. Ursula becomes the queen of the seas as Triton becomes another polyp in Ursula's garden. Ariel and Eric now team up to fight off Ursula and trick her into killing Flotsam and Jetsom. Furious Ursula grows gigantic and Eric uses a ship she accidentally raised to the surface to fatally stab her in the chest as Ursula blows up. Triton and her other victims are returned to their original forms as Triton turns Ariel human permanently and she reunites with Eric and gets married.
Sometime later she gave birth to a daughter named Melody. As she and Eric were introducing her to the subjects and family on the land and sea Ursula's long-lost sister Morgana showed up and kidnapped Meloy. Begging for the trident in exchange. Morgana got the trident but Ariel was able to knock her into the ocean saving Melody which Eric grabbed and the trident was returned to King Triton. Triton turned Undertow into a tiny shark as Morgana fled with her minions vowing revenge. Ariel fearing for her daughter's safety gave a magical shell gift that Triton gave to Melody back to him and decided she wouldn't know of the sea until Morgana was found. Triton told his subjects to search for Morgana and dropped the shell into the water. Ariel and Eric reluctantly put up a wall around the palace to ke Melody out of the ocean.
Years later Melody kept sneaking out into the ocean as she had a love of the sea. She was shunned for talking to animals and being weird by other kids and people at the party. She found her grandfather's gift which Ariel tries to take from her. But when Ariel tells her it's dangerous to go in the sea Melody takes the shell and runs away. She borrows a boat and goes out to find answers. Ariel goes after her with Eric trying to find her eventually turning back into a mermaid and searching with Triton and the others. Eventually, they are reunited as Melody has stolen the trident. Ariel tries to talk her out of it but Morgana's manipulations and Ariel's lies convinced Melody that Morgana could be trusted. Melody hands her the trident and Morgana traps Melody in a cave and takes Ariel with her. She then enslaves all the merfolk and knocks out Eric. Melody escapes with help from Tip and Dash before they are also put under Morgana's spell. Melody climbs the ice wall as she's human again and hands the trident back to her grandfather before Morgana knocks her back. Morgana is frozen into ice and shoved into the water below as everyone recovers and reunites. Melody meeting her grandfather for the first time. Later she uses the trident to destroy the wall so they can all be together once more. One day Ariel wakes up in a strange world learning of the war. Hearing her daughter is here and Eric and Ursula were in another army she reluctantly agreed to stay.
