Why did you pick him/her?: Family Drama being on the opposite side to her son; and a fun maternal figure to the slaves in the army.

Personality: motherly, hardworking, loyal, protective, strict, serious
History: Sarah met Leland and they fell in love. As a sailor he wasn't around as often as she liked but they grew closer and eventually she had a son. As the years went by she saw less of her husband as he kept saying the sea called to him. And eventually one day he just left. He lost his boat and had to join another crew to pay his debts. And they wouldn't be returning. Furious she tried to convince him to stay but he didn't want to stay. He had grown tired of being a husband and father and wanted to go on adventures more. He didn't even say goodbye to Jim and just left leaving Sarah and Jim heartbroken.
Sarah divorced him and with him not around to contest the divorce it went through. All she had left was the Benbow Inn as he had no money. Thankfully he was able to put it in her name so they wouldn't be homeless. She raised her son on stories about Treasure Planet and he helped her around the inn over the years. But in his teen years he grew rebellions riding his solar surfer too fast and was brought in by officers one day. Sarah scolded him and Doctor Dopplar tried to help but made things worse. After the officers left Sarah grounded Jim and put him to work. Later that night pirates came to the place looking for a map. A pirate that had been eating earlier was dying and gave Jim a map before dying. Jim, Sarah and Doctor Dopplar hid with the map and were forced to flee the inn when pirates raided and destroyed the place.
After relocating at Dr. Dopplar's house Jim and Dr. Dopplar set forth on an expedition to Treasure Planet afer Jim managed to open it. Sarah refused this at first but knew she couldn't stop him. She stayed behind livnig at Dr. Dopplar's house while trying to repair the damage to the Benbow Inn. Dr. Dopplar promised to look after Jim. A few weeks later the pair returned with enough treasure to rebuild the Inn. And some new friends in John Silver and Captain Amelia. Most of the crew hadn't survied the journey and hearing about what Scroop did she was glad he was gone. Or she'd have given him a talking to with her rolling pin. Jim joind the local army with Captain Amelia's blessing.
But one day Jim disappeared then Silver had as well. She tried to reach Captain Amelia but they had no word of him. She decided to go searching with her and Dr. Dopplar's help but on the day they were supposed to leave she dispppeared. She ended up at a strange circus and was captured by Scroop who recognized her. She was forced to serve him with a collar around her neck and learning of the war and her son was in another army. She reluctantly followed orders not wanting to get hurt but vowing to find a way to escape and take as many captured people with her as she could.
