Why did you pick him/her?: another Dragonball character, and to be there for bulma, and the gohans while they're in facilier's army.

History:
Vegeta grew up as the song of King Vegeta and was going to rule the planet Vegeta. Before his time Lord Frieza and his army had conquered planet Vegeta making them his minions. They reluctantly had been working for Freiza for so long. But secretly hoped to one day get rid of him so they could be free to rule themselves again. Vegeta was one of a few Saiyans who was off the planet when Freiza blew it up. And let everyone else think it was meteors.
Vegeta grew up working for Freiza with Nappa and Raditz as his team. Eventually they sent Raditz to Earth to recruit Kakarot. But Kakarot had bumped his head and grew up as the hero Goku and had his own son Gohan. Together the father and son with help from Piccolo defeated and killed Raditz but in the process Goku was killed as well. Vegeta, Nappa and Freiza heard of the legend of the Dragonballs on the scouters. Vegeta and Nappa went to Earth taking a year to get there not realizing they gave their plans to the Earthlings.
A year went by as they arrived on Earth. Krillin, Yamcha, Piccolo, Gohan, Tien and Chiaotzu were there to stop them. Vegeta and Nappa unleashed Saibamen and the first killed Yamcha. Tien and Nappa were able to finish off the Saibman but were killed fighting Nappa. Piccolo died next protecting Gohan from Nappa's attack. Goku arrives to fight them and defeats Nappa. Vegeta furious kills Nappa for his failure and fights Goku. During their fight he even turns into his Ozaru form and nearly wins. But his tail is cut off by Yajirobe who was watching and waiting for time to help. Gohan turns into an Ozoru and injures Vegeta further. Krillin uses the spirt bomb energy from Goku to try to kill Vegeta but Goku begs him to spare his life. Krillin reluctantly agrees as Vegeta escapes.
He arrives back and headquarters and heals himself. He then goes to Namek learning Freiza was there for the Namekian Dragonballs. Gohan, Krillin and Bulma had also gone there to retrieve them unaware of the danger of Frieza and his men at first. He kills a village and steals their Dragonball hiding it. Gohan later steals it back with Vegeta unaware of it. Vegeta kills several of Frieza's men and teams up with the group to defeat Frieza and make a wish. But while he's recovering Gohan, Dende and Krillin sneaking away to summon the dragon. They use two wishes to revive Piccolo and bring him to Namek. Vegeta shows up and threatens for them to use the wish or he'd kill them. But at that moment Guru dies along with the dragon.
Freiza shows up angry and fights them. Vegeta and Piccolo fight him but are no match for him and both taken out. Goku breaks out and fights him as Vegeta tells him that Freiza killed their entire race and made him what he was today. Frieza kills Vegea tired of his interfering. Goku fights freiza but Freiza's not done. He critically wounds Piccolo and kills Krillin> This makes Goku snap and he transforms into a Super Saiyan. Gohan takes the injured Piccolo to a ship and reunites with Bulma. Eventually everyone killed by Freiza and his men is revived on Namek and wished to Earth except for Goku and Freiza.
Vegeta waits with the others on Earth and learns the battle is over and Goku won. Goku had killed Frieza but was unable to save the planet from blowing up. And Goku was on his way back to Earth. Vegeta stayed at Bulma's house when he wasn't training. They then were able to use the Namekian dragonballs to revive Krillin, Yamcha, Tien and Chiatchou, and eventually set up the Namekians on New Namek. During this time he grew close to Bulma enough that got intimate a few times and she was pregnant. When Goku returned they all went to greet him but instead were met by Frieza and King Cold. Before they could fight a new hero showed up and killed them both and their army.
Goku arrived next as the stranger talked with him revealing he was Trunks, Vegeta and Bulma's son from the future and was her to worn them about androids taht killed most of the min the future. Piccolo overheard with hisears but everyone is unaware of who the boy really was. Goku informs them of the Androids as Trunks also gives him medicine before going in time three years to meet up with them then. Vegeta goes off to train by himself and as the years pass they rejoin and go to fight off the pair of Androids 19 and 20.
After splitting up and Yamcha getting injured they go off to fight the androids away from the city. ohan takes Bulma, and Yajibove and Baby Trunks home to Capsule Corp. Android 19 injures Goku as the virus kicks in stopping him from fighting. Vegeta steps in revealing he had become a super saiyan and hadn't told anyone. He kills Android 19 by blowing him up. Yamcha takes Goku off to heal and get his medicine, while the rest go after Android 20 as Bulma told him he was Dr. Gero. They learn he has a lab and despite their best efforts in cutting off one of Gero's hands he's able to steal enough energy to get into the lab and awaken 18 and 17. But they destroy his remote and Dr. Gero not caring for him and his controlling ways. Then release 16 as Future Trunks arrives to join them.
the 3 androids defeat them all with 18 defeating Vegeta while 17 takes out Tien, Piccolo and Future Trunks. As Krillin is left stunned with the senzu beans, 18 kisses Krillin and and the trio leave to find Goku. Krillin is able to revive the others with the last of the sensu beans. And they try to regroup. But soon learn of another time machine and a threat. Cell has arrived from the future to absorb the androids. As Goku wakes up recovering from the virus he takes Vegeta, Gohan and Trunks to the lookout to get training in the Hyperbolic time Chamber leaving the rest of the heroes to fight the android and stop Cell.
But despite their best efforts Cell absorbs 17 becoming Imperfect Cell. Vegeta and Future Trunks imerge from the chamber and go to fight cell as Goku and Gohan go inside. Cell plays to Vegeta's ego and talks him into letting him become perfect to test vegeta's new powers. Vegeta lets him. Trunks, Krillin, 18 and 16 all try to fight off cell but are no match for him. And with a quick solar flare Cell absorbs 18 and both trunks and vegeta are defeated by Cell. He then tells them he plans to host a tournament and later breaks into a news conference and tells everyone where to be. After Goku and Gohan come out of the chamber they relax for a bit as Gohan was also a Super Saiyan now as well.
As the tournament began Hercule and his two proteges fought first but were all defeated. Goku fought next but gave up seeing he was outmatched. Gohan was reluctantly pushed to fight Cell and he did his best but he was still scared. And Cell could sense that. And he decided to taunt Gohan and awaken his hidden anger and power by sending Cell Juniors after Goku, Vegeta and the others hurting them. 16 tries to blow up Cell but fails and eventually his head is sent to convince Gohan to fight. Cell destroys 16's head, parts and all ending the android for good. Gohan snaps deciding 16 was right and he has to fight. He manages to defeat Cell and gets him to spit out 18 and he's back to Imperfect Cell again.
But he's too overconfident and begins toying with Cell. Cell gets mad and threatens to blow up the Earth. Goku uses his instant tranmission to teleport cell to King Kai's planet killing King Kai and his servants along with Goku and cell and that world. Instead of blowing up the Earth. Goku decides to stay dead this time when they undo the damage Cell and the androids did. Vegeta vows to get stronger as with Goku gone he needs another challenge. He woke up in another world at a circus and jo0ind seeing some of the other Z Warriors were ther as well.
