(OCC: July 4th, late afternoon-early evening. Bonding family thread with Dr. Smith, Logan and Cody)
Cody had heard of the holiday known as the fourth of july. He wanted to enjoy a picnic during this time since it was a fun idea. Problem was his parents, Logan and Dr. Smith, were so consumed by work. So Cody felt mischief come in as he decided to get their attention. He had a picnic all set earlier that day, with the assistance of Pinnochio and some of the kids. But he was going to handle logan and smith all by himself.
His plan was to steal some important items, only to get attention. He turned to see Logan and Smith working seperately. Smith every once in a while catching glances to Logan and vise versa. Cody was a little grossed out by his adoptive parents being romantic but hey, he'd take them being romantic over being workaholics anyday. He was going to get these two to spend time with each other, and in essence him. So cody carefully snuck around, deciding to get to Logan first. While Logan's back was turned, he grabbed some tools, replying with a laugh "Got your tools, Mr. Logan!" While Cody did view Logan as a parental figure, he still hadn't had the time to get used to calling him dad like he had for smith. He then laughed as Logan demanded angrily that Cody give his tools back. He then snatched a couple from Smith. Laughing even more as his plan was working.
He spit a raspberry as he ran outside to where his picnic was. He replied playfully "You gotta catch me first, Mr. Logan!" He then awaited at the picnic table for his parents. A cocky smile on his face

Logan was busy. He knew this was the day of independance but he had so much work to do. He hoped he could finish it in time to take Dr. Smith and Cody for a small fireworks display. But he was just so busy. It wasn't his fault and neither was it smith's but Logan felt a inkling of guilt. It was overshadowed by the desire to strut his stuff and succeed for this small family he was developing. After all, he was the figure Cody needed and the partner Smith deserved. He needed to work hard. He noticed Smith hard at work too and a inkling of wanting to hug the man was there. But it was overshadowed by work. He was about to grab his screwdriver when Cody snatched it, along with some other stuff, fooling around.
Logan was not necessarily in the mood and he replied sternly "Cody! You give me that back this instant!" He then saw Cody play more and snatch even more tools. Some of which were now Smith's. Logan did not want to play and didn't understand this. Cody normally was well-behaved so why was he being like this? Logan stomped his foot replying "Cody Smith! You get back here this minute!" He then saw Cody leave. Logan ran after him, demanding "You give me my tools and your father's tools back this minute! Or you're grounded young man!" He raced up without a word, hearing Smith follow him.
