Personality:
Sam is a light-hearted, kind, fun-loving, compassionate and easy-going spirit. He embraces life, enjoys simple pleasures and always believes in being positive. He is also one of the most intelligent, creative, skilled and ambitious people known to man. He has a calm, peaceful attitude but he enjoys creating things and has a severe passion for using his skills for the benefit of others. He's noble, friendly and always sticks up for people, believing that it's crucial to be kind to one another. He's also eccentric, due to having a child-like and bubbly personality which can sometimes come across as overbearing or obnoxious to some. That said he does take things seriously, and when he does he always has a sense of classic wisdom.
History:
Sam was born in Alabama, raised by his loving and supportive grandmother. Sam had a relatively decent childhood, always focused on school and had a dream of becoming a inventor. Sam's hard-work and passionate spirit caused him to accomplish this dream by the age of fourteen, becoming a science prodigy. He was accepted into many colleges at sixteen, getting into a popular science university by the age of eighteen. He invented many things and was a assistant to many famous scientists, eventually Sam became a self-hire inventor. He made his own lab, having a part time job as a lab assistant for his local hospital. He eventually met and befriended Richard Hughes as Sam's favorite restaurant was owned by Richard. The two became close, even Sam becoming his partner as the two wanted to help their world from any problems as a side passion. Richard mostly wanted to live his life but did feel a small passion to be a helpful hero if needed, and Sam joined alongside him inventing stuff to assist richard. One day, Richard was kidnapped by a young man named Greg, who was a assistant by Dr. Eli. Dr. Eli was let go due to unorthodox and cruel experiments, not to mention illegal activity.
Sam eventually found Richard and Greg, who were apprehending Dr. Eli. Sam took Greg in and made the young man his apprentice, wanting Greg to get back on his feet and live a life of freedom and happiness. Sam felt it wrong to just leave Greg alone, as the boy had no where else to go. It took a long time but eventually he and greg became close friends, that is until richard and Greg disappeared. Sam was concerned and searched the area but then realized they were somehow transported to a alternate universe. Sam used his invention to travel through the universes, but his machine broke as he entered this alternate world. It turned out the power of this universe was harming his invention which could take months to years to rebuild. Stuck in a new world, Sam went to the Defiants, as he had no where else to go.
