Why did you pick him/her?: another dragonballl character and his relationship with Piccolo as a father figure is a plus. And to give Future Gohan more of a happy ending than what he got on the show.

Personality: Protective; Aggressive; compassionate; smart; strong; friendly. But also traumatized by losing his father and most of his friends when he was very young. And being isolated from his mother and grandfather because he wanted to train and they didn't. Having only Future Bulma and Future Trunks for company did keep him isolated but allowed him to focus more on training and the androids.
History: His history was the same as his present day counterpart for much of his life as a child. He grew up at Chi Chi and Goku's house. He was kidnapped by Raditz and later Piccolo after Goku & Raditz were killed. Piccolo trained him to help fight Nappa and Vegeta. Yamcha, Chitazu, Piccolo, and Tien fell in battle. Goku arrived in time to save Krillin and Gohan and after injuring Nappa Vegeta killed Nappa. Goku fought Vegeta just like before and with help from Krillin, Gohan and Yajirobe they were able to injured Vegeta enough that he was able to retreat. Gohan briefly turned into a great ape twice one during his training and once to help fight off Vegeta. his tail was cut off during this and never grew back.
Gohan then went to Namek with Krillin and Bulma to get Namekian's help to revive their friends. But were soon stopped by Freiza's forces and a Vegeta out for his own gain. Vegeta killed Dodoria and Zarbon but the Ginyu Force arrived giving the balls to Freiza. Unfortunately nearly all the Namekians were wiped out except for two. Guru, Nail, and Dende. Nail fused with Piccolo to make Piccolo stronger and live on in him. Goku arrived and they slowly windled down the Ginyu Force. Ginu temporarily swapped bodie with Ginyu but eventually they put him in a frog. Goku was badly hurt in the fight and needed to recover.
To stop Freiza from getting his wish they stole the dragonballs from him and made two wishes. One to revive Piccolo and the second to bring him to Namek. Frieza arived to stop them and Guru died before the third wish could be made. Goku arrived but Freiza soon killed Vegeta and Krillin and severely injured Piccolo and Gohan. He had many more tranformations before reaching his final form and attacked Goku. Gohan fled with Piccolo and reunited with Bulma at the ship to get away. Goku and Freiza fought and Goku finally defetaed Freiza by using his own attack to slice him in half. But Freiza had already set the planet to blow up.
Kami and Mr. Pop used the Earth dragonballs to revive the Nameks and Vegeta on Namek and sent them to Earth to spare the fight. Krillin couldn't be revived again by the Earth Dragonballs so he remained dead like other Z Fighters. Goku fled on one of frieza's ships ending up on Yadrat for awhile to train. Gohan and the others used the Namekian dragonballs to revive Krillin, Yamcha, Tien and Chiatzou and learned Goku would make his way back to Earth and didn't want to be wished back.
Over a year later Freiza having survied and gained cybernetic upgrades arrived with King Cold to attack. But this where thinks began to change. There was no Future Trunks to save them so Goku used instant transmission to make it to Earth defeating them both and saving the others. The threat was over as they returned to their regular lives, going off to their separate homes staying in contact in case there was another threat. The Namekians settled on a new planet with help from Goku.
They were unprepared for the onslaught of the Androids. Goku died from the heart virus he got on Yadrat. They were unable to wish him back. They were able to destroy 19 and injured Gero so he had no choice to activate 17 and 18. They kiled Yamcha, vegeta, Piccolo, Tien, and Chitazu. Puar and Eulong went into hiding with Masther Roshi in his sub near his island house. Chi Chi and Ox King hid out in their house safe from ther androids as well. But Gohan knew he had to stop them and save what few people he could. Without the Dragonballs they could no longer undo the damage. And without help from Goku they couldln't find new Namek so they were stuck. Luckily Vegeta and Bulma had a son before his death Trunks. Trunks grew up and trained under Gohan. Gohan gained his super saiyan powers during his fights with the Androids but he wasn't strong enough alone.
Gohan and Trunks could only fight off the Androids giving people in the area enough time to get away but were unable to injure them or stop the Androids for long. And unfortunately for Gohan he lost an arm in a battle but was able to save Future Trunks using a sensu bean to save him. The last they had. They made it back to recover but when the Androids attacked argain Gohan knocked Trunks out thinking he could stop them. But with one arm he was no match for them and they killed him.
He woke up in another world confused as this didn't sound like the Afterlife. He ended up a strange circus. He then met with Rita who recognized him as a hero and put a slave collar around his neck forcing him to work for the army. Learning it was an evil army he tried to power up but to his shock he coudln't use any of his powers to break the collar or harm someone in the army. If he proved himself worthy of their trust they'd remove the collar. Having no choice he reluctantly agreed to join hoping he'd find a way to remove the collar by earning their trust or breaking and escaping if he had to.
