Why did you pick him/her?: To give flora more to interact with and we can always use magic members for the defiants.

Personality:
Fauna is first and foremost a peacemaker, she usually prefers to handle confrontation with kindness or not at all. Due to her more soft-spoken and easy-going nature, she can be quite timid and passive. She's usually sweet-tempered, maternal and quite tender towards others. She has a rather cheerful disposition but it can cause her to be oblivious, naïve and a bit easily distracted. She is still quite thoughtful and wise though, usually doing quite well with dealing with problems particularly emotional kinds. Speaking of emotions, she's immensely in tune with them, being extremely empathetic and compassionate. She can however have a tendency to wear her heart on her sleeve, giving into emotions rather quickly. Despite this though, she's quite reasonable, intelligent and cunning, tending to solve issues that some would overlook.
History:
Like her two sisters, Fauna spent a majority of her life using her magic for the benefit of others. She had been in a rivalry with maleficent alongside her sisters for many years, combating with her evil with their good. One day the king and queen of the land had a daughter who they named aurora. They celebrated her birth, inviting everyone with the exception of maleficent. Fauna and her sisters went to give her gifts, with fauna giving her the gift of song, but the party was interrupted by maleficent who went to confront them for snubbing her. Maleficent, out of spite, cursed the child to die on her sixteenth birthday by a spinning wheel. However thanks to merryweather the spell was instead a curse to put her in a deep sleep where only true love's kiss could cure her. It still didn't seem like enough for the king who was afraid for his daughter's life so it forced her, flora and merryweather to think of a safe way to prevent the curse. Flora then got the idea to raise aurora in secret, becoming mortals to prevent suspicion. Fauna was absolutely delighted with the idea, as she always wanted to be a mother. She happily accepted her role and helped raise aurora in secret alongside her sisters, naming the princess briar rose as a cover.
Years went by and despite hiccups, fauna was quite content being the caregiver of aurora. Then her sixteenth birthday came and while they sent aurora to pick berries, fauna tried but failed to make a cake. This resulted in merryweather forcing them to use their magic again which unintentionally caught them red-handed by diablo, maleficent's pet raven. While fauna and her sisters explained to aurora eventually of her true origins, they also learned aurora found a handsome stranger who she promised to meet. Due to being betrothed to Philip, she was not allowed to see him much to aurora's devastation, fauna was absolutely crushed by it only wanting Aurora's happiness. While they returned to the castle to wait for the king, she and her sisters discussed about maybe reasoning with the king to give the stranger a chance. But unfortunately that wouldn't come to pass as aurora was captured by maleficent and manipulated to touch the spindle of a spinning wheel causing her to fall into a deep sleep. Fauna was heartbroken, seeing this as a great loss to both her personally and her kingdom. She and her sisters then decided to put the kingdom to sleep until they solved the problem. They then also learned about the stranger being Philip himself and they helped him escape maleficent's clutches. They assisted him in getting to aurora and breaking the curse, which resulted in her awakening to reunite with Philip and celebrate their betrothal. Fauna was relieved that everything turned out fine and was delighted that things were finally at peace.
One day however aurora, merryweather and then suddenly she herself disappeared. Fauna was admittedly nervous at first but reunited with both her niece and sister at the defiants. Hearing that maleficent was on another army, fauna happily stayed to join forces with the defiants.
