Quote: "Jack. I know how you feel"
Name: Sally
Age: 18
Where is this character from?: Nightmare Before Christmas
Why did you pick him/her?: To give oogie boogie a reason to be here mostly. Also she's sweet and fun.
Picture:
Personality:
Sally is a sweet, caring, empathetic, compassionate and sentimental young lady. She also is shy, passive, stubborn and has a tendency to be easily manipulated when intimidated. She is undeniably noble and well-meaning but sometimes uses dirty tricks and manipulation in a desperate attempt to help. She is intelligent, creative and quick-witted but tends to easily panic when backed into a corner. She's also insecure, due to being a quiet and soft-spoken individual most of the time. She's adventurous and energetic, enjoying new things and has a natural curiosity for different ideas and things. She also, however, can be restless and impatient when her curiosity isn't satisfied due to being free-spirited. Despite her uncomfortableness for being a pest or bother, she will disobey or defy if she feels it to be needed. Overall Sally does like to be a team player and will stand by her friends to the bitter end, but if she feels that something is wrong she will do anything to fix it. She's loyal and extremely considerate but she sometimes will let her intuition control her.
History:
Sally was created by Dr. Finkelstein, the town's scientist, as basically his house-maid and servant. During her younger years, she was tolerant of this life, but grew bored of it very quickly. She was lonely, she wanted to explore the outside world and was displeased when the Doctor would try to confine her in his home. Around her early teens, she started to sneak out often, sometimes having to lace the doctor's food and drink to make him sleep just so she could leave. She managed to always see the outside world and meet up with a few town members here and there, but the doctor would punish her for her disobedience every time. Still it did not discourage her, if anything it fueled her curiosity. One night she got kidnapped by Oogie Boogie, a town nuisance who pestered the town, only to be saved by Jack Skellington who confined Oogie boogie in the trick or treaters home as a punishment. Jack was the king and town figure of the town and Sally immediately fell in love with him due to his nobility and kindness. Sally snuck out even more just to see Jack and see what he was up to.
One Halloween night, as was tradition of the town, they celebrated Halloween and made a huge festivity with Jack performing. Sally, now eighteen, got caught by the doctor and was about to be sent home but Sally unlaced her arm, escaping. She stuffed herself, now with only one arm, when she noticed jack moping in the graveyard. Sally empathized with his loneliness and desires for more in his life, understand how it could be boring and lonely to be by yourself. She reluctantly returned to her home where Dr. Finkelstein sewed her arm and admonished her for leaving again, telling her she was his. Sally responded she wanted more and the doctor told her to be patient, but sally didn't want that. A few days later Jack announced for a town meeting, sally managed to sneak out once more seeing jack's display based on his sights of Christmastown. She was fascinated by it for what it was but was displeased when jack caved into the townspeople's desires to make it scary and frightening. She wanted to express her interest to jack alone but got physically confined, being a prisoner in her own home by the doctor. She decided then and there that she wasn't going to take this constant sneaking about and imprisonment any longer. She left the doctor's home, this time for good and was forced to stay in the streets but it was better than being in a home that wasn't a home.
She then gave a basket of things for jack, but was too shy to physically see him. She did catch a glance at him and it seemed he saw her, happily waving as a thank you. She resided back in her corner of the street, and had a vision of a Christmas tree being set on fire. Terrified she met up with jack trying to tell him of her vision, but jack was too distracted by his new plan to make his own Christmas to care. Sally then listened as jack asked her to make the santa claus outfit, sally agreed only to please jack. She tried to convince him not to go through with it but was aware jack was far too pleased with this new phase of being santa. After the trick or treater children kidnapped santa, jack took his place and was set to fly with his new reindeer on Christmas eve. Sally, in a desperate attempt to stop him, used her potion of thick fog to make it too foggy to fly. Zero, jack's pet, however had a bright nose and helped them fly away with his nose guiding them. Sally, saddened, realized the only thing to do now was get santa out and hope santa would stop it. She went to oogie boogie's prison, attempting to save santa but unfortunately got herself captured.
Oogie boogie then planned to kill both her and santa. Sally was devastated as jack couldn't come back as he was said to be dead from a attack from the humans in their world. Fortunately jack was alive and rescued them, defeating oogie. Jack then apologized to santa, only for santa to tell jack to next time actually listen to sally as she was the only one worth listening to. Sally then explained why she was there telling jack she was frightened for his safety and wanted to help him. Just as jack was about to respond they were interrupted by the mayor who helped them up. Sally then went to go find a place to stay and was a bit dismayed when it was clear the doctor replaced her with a new girlfriend by the name of Jewel. Sally, feeling she had no place to go, sat in the graveyard. Then jack came to her, confessing his mutual love and offered his home to her. Sally happily agreed, kissing him and then living with him not long after. She then became his right hand woman and his advisor. She and jack proceeded to romance until one day there was rumors going about that oogie boogie was causing trouble in another town. Jack ordered to search him to capture him, as he was supposed to be their problem and not anyone else's. Sally assisted with finding him only to find herself in a strange new human world. She learned this place to be Chicago, and quickly took refuge in Nostalgia Critic's home. Having no where else to go. She can only hope jack will find her.
