Personality:
Shenzi is callous, cold, quick-witted and unapologetically sadistic. She can be condescending sometimes as she has a self-righteous attitude. She's cruel, prideful, sarcastic and can be quite violent when given the chance. That said, she's a excellently intelligent and capable leader, putting the best benefit of the ones she loves most before her own desires. She is loyal but once betrayed is immensely unforgiving and holds a grudge like no tomorrow. While she does have a snobby or rude exterior, she does care and is quite tender when with people she cares for. She is protective and maternal to others but it does sometimes come in the form of tough love. She's fun-loving, energetic and hard-working, dedicated to the umpteenth degree so long as she gets what she needs.
History:
Shenzi was born and raised by her single mother who also happened to be the leader of her hyena pack. Shenzi was close with her mother and vise versa, but due to their harsh environment and relatively difficult lifestyle as scavengers her mother trained her from a early age to hunt and do what you could to get food. While there was no question her mother loved her, shenzi learned very quickly on that being the leader's daughter didn't mean special treatment. She also befriended two other hyena cubs, named Banzai and Ed, who became as close as brothers with her. One day, when shenzi was a teen, her mother passed leaving shenzi to take her place as pack leader. She very quickly proved her worth as leader and was actually respected by her pack. She appointed banzai and ed as her right hand men. As the years passed, food became more and more difficult to find, leading shenzi to resent the pridelands kingdom, as they always tended to get first dibs on everything. As such, she would hunt measly animals, meerkats especially and would even sometimes bully them to pass the time.
One day she met and gained a alliance with Scar, the resentful youngest brother of Mufasa. Scar promised in exchange for loyalty and assistance to get the kingdom, scar would give them better food. Shenzi agreed and went with scar's first plan to strike scar's nephew Simba whenever the little cub came to their borders. Simba foolishly entered alongside zazu and nala, shenzi alongside banzai and ed attacked them. They would've killed him if it wasn't for Mufasa attacking them back. Mufasa, a lion shenzi genuinely feared and respected, forced her, banzai and ed to retreat. She then went to lick her wounds while scar reprimanded them. She admitted to her fear to Mufasa as he was stronger and just plain powerful. Which lead scar to unleash a different plan, to kill both his brother and nephew and take the throne as the heir. Scar further enhanced the deal by saying if the hyenas assisted him, he'd let them live in the pridelands and never go hungry. Shenzi, delighted, agreed and assisted in a stampede accident. Scar killed Mufasa then exiled simba, ordering shenzi, banzai and ed to kill the cub. Simba escaped, which caused banzai to be concerned but shenzi saw no point as the cub was as good as dead in parts unknown and they could easily kill him if he came back.
Years passed and food became scarce as time went by, shenzi was concerned as scar seemed to not have a answer of what to do. Then not long after a rogue lion, who addressed himself as a adult simba now, came to claim the throne. This lead to a huge battle, one shenzi got disadvantaged of by timon's cleverness and bravery. But she, banzai and ed managed to see scar and simba in the midst of a battle. One where scar proceeded to blame her and her pack for the responsibility of it all. Mufasa's murder, the pridelands destruction, simba's exile, everything. Shenzi, feeling completely betrayed, retreated as did ed and banzai. When scar was defeated by simba, he met up with them, pretending to act like nothing happened unaware of what they heard. Shenzi however allowed her pack to feast on him, then she ordered a retreat to the deeper ends of the outlands, away from all lions as both scar's family and simba's family were enemies of them. She tried her best to avoid them, until now. She found herself in Chicago, with absolutely no one. She then heard word that scar and simba were on opposing sides and shenzi naturally agreed to come to here.

Enemies: Scar, Zira, Simba, Nala, Kiara, Kovu, ATG Army, Defiants and Critic's army
