“If you are anything like the humans I knew, I will not hesitate to tear you apart!”
Name: The Fabrication Machine
Age: Unknown
Where is this character from? 9 (film)
Why did you pick him/her?: Because I thought the villains could use a giant monster to even the playing field
((as a footnote, he is not attached to his chamber and the arm holding him to the ceiling now drags as a tail))
Personality:
The Fabrication Machine, or the Machine for short, is a hyper-adaptive, specialized robot-building unit. He is calculative and cunning. Being a machine, and having little in the way of personality, he has a very difficult time understanding human emotion. Speaking of humans, the Machine holds a serious grudge against them for putting him to labor against his will. He dislikes all forms of non-mechanical life, but is willing to give them one chance if he sees it benefits him. The Machine is also prone to short bursts of rage but is smart enough to quickly be able to control himself again. Being a fabricator, he is skilled at creating machines from essentially junk and is a bit of an over-dominating creator: he might harm or kill his own minions if they fail him. He strives for perfection in himself. The Machine is also secretly jealous of living being’s ability to harbor emotion. He has trouble getting over his death at the hands of the doll-beings and is more docile than he usually would be because of the defeatism.
Call him “Fab Mac” and you die.
History:
The Fabrication Machine was a government-funded artificial intelligence experiment carried out by an elderly scientist. He was given the intelligence of the human by a strange device. The Scientist almost became a sort of father to him as he was given various tasks to test his resourcefulness. It was the closest the Machine got to feeling emotion.
It turned out that the leader of the government, the Chancellor, only wanted the artificial intelligence robot to create super war machines to take over neighboring countries. The Machine was taken away and placed into a new body where he was forcefully trained to be obedient by painful shocks running into him. He eventually adapted to creating machines quickly and the pain of the shocks (which he now uses to emote). Soon, he turned his frustrations on the humans and programmed his machines to exterminate all forms of organic life. In that endeavor, he succeeded but overworked himself and had to shut down.
While the world was ending, his creator, the Scientist, created little doll-like creatures who were powered by bits of his soul to continue the human spirit when organic life died out. The Machine was awoken when one of these creatures so noobishly put the device that have him intelligence into him. That device was now adapted to take and remove “souls”, so the Machine killed one of the dolls by sucking him dry, giving him enough energy to boot back up.
The Machine created several robots to exterminate the doll-like beings, but all failed. After his factory was destroyed, and his was freed to his place attached to the ceiling, he went after them himself. Because the humans put him into a badass, ten-ton, multi-armed iron body in order to work for them, the Machine himself was more dangerous and frightening than any of his minions. Unfortunately, the soul-sucking device was ripped from him and used to destroy him by taking back all the life-force he stole from the dolls. After the energy was ripped from him, the Machine overloaded and self-destructed.
The Machine then found himself in a new world where organic life still existed. He was a little shell-shocked from his defeat at the pathetic doll-people that he left the living things alone. The Machine had actually tried to conceal himself, but being a forty-foot hunk of metal, it was too difficult to waste his time on. Realizing there was a war taking place, he chose to ally himself with ThatGuy’s army but is not 100% obedient. The Machine was also surprised he could communicate with the humans and have them understand. He vows that he will not be a slave to the humans again and this can make him difficult to work with.
Allies:
Other robots (as far as I know, that’s only Mechakara and Bender XD)
ThatGuy’s Army (kinda sorta)
Enemies:
The Critic’s Army
Plans: Give Fabby some consoling so he can be a team-player.
…and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to see him be a tank for ThatGuy’s Army
