It Feels Like Magic With You (Genie)

[Verna/Fairy Godmother]

(ooc: July 9th. Morning.)

Verna grinned as she pulled a boiling water pot off the stove. She poured it into a cup and put in some tea bags and stirred it. But she accidentally used her wand instead of a spoon so the cup went flying away.

"Oh dear. Come back here cup!" said Verna.

She began running after the floating cup.

Genie

Genie was whistling a relatively cheerful tune when a magical floating cup passed him by. He noticed verna chase after it. Genie had a crush on the woman but never felt at liberty or worthy enough to speak to her, but always would try to befriend her whenever possible. He felt this was a problem he could easily fix. "Now hold it right there you little cup" Genie playfully replied, zapping it with a finger of his to make it fall. Genie grabbed it with ease and went right to verna. With a smile he replied "Does this little trouble maker belong to you?"

Verna grinned as Genie grabbed the cup with his magic and returned to her. He always seemed like such a nice fellow and being a genie she didn't have to worry about things like age. In a way genies were lik e fairy godmothers but they didn't choose who they helped. Whoever found the lamp got 3 wishes. She found him quite charming and funny but she'd never thought to make a move on him especially if she didn't know he was single or interested.

"Yes. Thank you, Genie. I accidentally stirred my cup with my wand instead of a spoon and off it flew." said Verna.

She paused with a grin.

"Would you like some? There's some water left if you'd rather make something else like hot cocoa. " said Verna.

Genie smiled as verna seemed rather relieved. He was glad they were talking and at least alone. It felt like he was connecting with her truly. He then replied nonchalantly "Oh no problem. I sometimes do that myself. One time I was making cookies and put in magic instead of sugar. Let's just say the cookie bit back. Hard" He hoped this would make her feel less embarrassed and at least made her laugh. He was great at making people laugh, that was how he handled tension too most of the time.

He then replied interestedly "Oh no I like tea. I like most hot beverages" Genie then followed her to the kitchen replying "I was actually hoping we could have a nice little chat together. If you wouldn't mind" Then he began blushing feeling like somewhat of a teenager. He only hoped verna wouldn't find it off putting.

Verna smiled.

"I'm quite glad you came when you did. Might have had to chase the stubborn cup around the entire house." said Verna.

She chuckled at Genie mentioned putting magic into a cookie recipe.

"Oh, dear. I'm sure that was awful." said Verna.

She grinned as he said he liked tea.

"That's good. I wasn't sure. Some prefer coffee or juice but I've always found tea soothing and good." said Verna.

She nodded.

"That sounds like fun. I don't remember the last time I just sipped some tea and just talked. Guess that means we're having a private tea party." said Verna.
