Quote: "Hah! Boom baby!"
Name: Kuzco
Age: 19
Where is this character from?: Emperor's New Groove
Why did you pick him/her?: Because I love him, and he's hilarious.
Picture:
Personality:
Kuzco is a selfish, self-centered, arrogant, whiny and self-righteous young man. He's also noble, compassionate, fun-loving, charming, charismatic and surprisingly dedicated to his kingdom. While he can be ignorant and mean-spirted towards his people sometimes, he's incredibly professional and DOES do what he thinks is best for the businesses, towns and villages of his kingdom. Again despite his flaws, he has genuinely tried to put more effort into being professional and compassionate towards his people. Since he's genuinely trying to change from his spoiled ways, he has become more generous also. While he can still be manipulative, greedy and spoiled, he does what he can to be kind and friendly to others. He's also quite sardonic, using humor or observance to get through most problems. He also is more empathetic and understanding than he wants to be, and covers up his negative or more tender feelings by either making jokes or being petty.
History:
Kuzco was born the heir to the emporer and his wife of the kingdom, but he never really knew his parents well due to them travelling and working to run the kingdom. Their advisor, Yzma, practically raised him as his mother and took care of him while his parents were gone. His parents tried to make up for their absence by spoiling him, allowing him to do what he wanted and giving him whatever he wanted, much to yzma's annoyance. Kuzco over the years became spoiled and arrogant, mostly to cover up his resentfulness for the lack of his parents in his life. When his parents died when he was thirteen, he covered up his loss and sadness by demanding more and more. While Yzma controlled the kingdom, Kuzco became somewhat of a pest to his servants and due to him being the heir, they couldn't say no to him without severe punishment so they obeyed him. The years passed and Kuzco started to genuinely believe his behavior was acceptable, which was made all the worse when he turned eighteen. He saw yzma try to steal his job from the sidelines and would warn her a few times to stop doing that, but due to her being a pretty decent parent he didn't want to follow through with it. However, one year later, around his nineteeth birthday he lost his patience with her and fired her. He was ignorant to the consequences, genuinely believing this was best for his kingdom that was his. Even though he didn't like doing it, he covered his regretful feelings by being snarky and joking around, unaware this made things worse. He then went to meet the village man Pacha, who he called in for a special meeting. He explained to pacha eventually that he planned to take the village hill for his summer getaway(With a water slide!) as his nineteenth birthday present for himself. Unaware and unconcerned about the people who lived there, he told pacha to prepare his village to leave as soon as possible.
He then was invited to dinner with yzma and her likable servant kronk, unaware of yzma's plan to kill him. He enjoyed the drink she gave, but then turned to a llama. He was knocked out by kronk and awoke to be discovered by pacha in a sack kronk accidentally left. Kuzco immediately assumed pacha was responsible for his change and demanded pacha take him, only to be shocked by pacha's refusal. Kuzco arrogantly went to the jungles by himself, believing he could handle it. Only to be chased down by angry jaguars, he was saved by pacha but Kuzco was unsatisfied. He wanted to return home but pacha reminded him of his ultimatum: Either he build his summer home somewhere else or pacha would not help him. Kuzco, desperate to get home, lied to pacha that he would indeed put his summer home elsewhere and not on pacha's village. He and pacha returned home but pacha got caught in a bridge, believing this was a great punishment for the person he felt was responsible for his suffering, Kuzco left him there. Only to get caught in the bridge himself, both he and pacha fought which caused the bridge to completely collapse. Scared by the possibility of dying, Kuzco began to panic, but then pacha calmed him down and convinced Kuzco to trust him. The two then worked together to return back to the mountains. Pacha nearly got forced down to his death but Kuzco, worried about his safety, saved him.
Despite his denial, Kuzco cared about pacha and was even becoming friends with him. Pacha and him went to get something to eat at a diner, where yzma and kronk also went unaware of their presence. Overhearing yzma's plan to kill him, pacha took Kuzco away from the restaurant away from yzma and kronk. Believing yzma was trying to return him home, Kuzco went to reunite with her only for pacha to tell him she was trying to kill him. Angry and in denial that someone who raised him his entire life would kill him, Kuzco called pacha selfish and demanded he leave. He went to meet up with yzma only to overhear exactly what pacha warned him about. Frightened, overwhelmed and betrayed, he hid away from her and went to find pacha only to realize he too was no where to be found. Finally, and truly, alone, he went to the jungles to sulk and went over his actions. He realized he was actually in the wrong and deserved to be alone, he went to the alps to get some food only to meet up with pacha again. Kuzco admitted his wrongdoings only for pacha to quickly let it go and be actually willing to help Kuzco out, with no strings attached. The two went back to Kuzco's palace where yzma and kronk were waiting. Kronk though hesitated to kill him, and even betrayed yzma. Both pacha and Kuzco fought her and eventually, through immense effort, went to get the antidote for Kuzco's llamahood.
Yzma however stole it back and went to use it, only for her to also drop it and Kuzco went to chase it. But pacha managed to slip and fall, holding on for his life by the palace ledges. Kuzco was forced to make a choice: Help himself or help pacha. Not wanting to have his friend get hurt, Kuzco quickly went to save pacha. Thankfully the antidote did not break and Kuzco eventually resumed humanhood. He then atoned for the petty bullying he did towards some of his subjects, particularly a old man by the name of Rudy. He then also told pacha he was not going to destroy his village. Pacha though said there was a hill right next to it with little to no village space. Kuzco happily took that hill instead and befriended Pacha's family, as well as kronk. He even agreed to help kronk impress his own father. Things then went quite well for him, with Kuzco keeping a friendship with pacha.
One day though there were rumors going around that his people were disappearing. Kuzco, concerned one of those people was pacha, demanded a search for the people missing. He then went to bed, overwhelmed by the rumor. He then awoke in a strange world and even stranger city called Chicago. He took refuge in the defiants army, not finding himself willing to be on any other side. He found himself more welcome on the defiants than any other. He then heard rumors about yzma being here and he is beyond willing to take her down.
Allies: Pacha, Kronk, Defiants Army
Enemies: Yzma, Critic's Army, ATG and Facilier's Army
Plans: None quite yet. Except become even more humble and make a few friends. Maybe expose his insecurities and personal problems.
