Family Bonding (TMNT Characters)

Dark Mikey groaned as he got up. He had only been here a couple of days yet their family had grown. Now he had 7 brothers instead of three. So he had gotten up and the first thing he wanted to do was make it right to Mikey somehow. He was in shock to see Mikey had fallen asleep nearby having watched over for him.

"He does care." whispered Dark Mikey.

He grinned as Mikey woke up and was shocked as he spoke compliments to him and his grin grew.

"Thanks. I couldn't let him get hurt. I finally had brothers. Real brothers. And all it really had to take was our Leo getting hurt and taken by you guys and then for you guys to take off back to the past. With you guys gone we had nothing left. Leo told us we should go. Darius Dunn might have turned on us or we just got in the way of an attack on Cody. But no one hurts my family. And I suppose you guys are our family too." said Dark Mikey.

He paused for a moment and sighed.

"For what it's worth I'm sorry. We were created to be weapons and I've hurt you. In more ways than one. I don't know why you haven't just locked me in a cell." said Dark Mikey.

He found himself pouting as Leo said no pranking but was glad to see his brother was okay. When both said no pranking he nodded.

"Fine no pranking the two of you. And sorcerers and tech guys would probably be a good idea. But the rest is fair game." said Dark Mikey.

Mikey groaned as he got up. A chair was never comfortable falling asleep in but he didn't want to leave his counterpart and brother's side. Having the Dark Turtles on their side still felt odd but when Leo had put it that they were their brothers too it was like they all had a twin brother. He'd got a taste of that when they'd met their counterparts from another universe but they had to go back. As he woke up he realized Dark Mikey was sitting up and looking at him.

"Uh hi. Everyone was pretty worried about you. You jumping for the blast to save your brother that was really brave." said Mikey.

Mikey grinned.

"Apology accepted. And everyone deserves a second chance." said Mikey.

He grinned as Leo and Dark Leo arrived. He pouted as Leo said no pranking and grinned when both Leos said to not prank them. And to not prank anyone with magic or science things.

"That still leaves a lot of people open." said Mikey.

He grinned.

"Although if Shredder comes walking through that door saying he's gone good that's when I know he's trying to pull something." said Mikey.

Leo and Dark Leo had taken a patrol to make sure the house was safe. Now that the other armies knew of its location it was just as much as dangerous as the main house. When they returned to the medbay they saw the two Mikeys bonding and grinned.

"I'm glad you two are playing nice but no pranks." said Leo.

When both of them looked upset he sighed.

"Fine. No pranks on me." said Leo.

He turned to his counterpart and grinned.

"That's all water under the bridge. We have several members in this army who were once villains. To welcome them and not give you guys a chance would make us hypocrites." said Leo.

Dark Leo paused and shook his head.

"Don't think about pranking me either. Although for your own safety don't target people who could use magic or science to retaliate against you. That would not end well." said Dark Leo.

He sighed.

"And I'm sorry for my part too. When you guys took me in it made me realize what we were missing. A real family. And Master Splinter. Although maybe it's better he didn't clone Splinter. Or things might have ended badly for you with a Dark Splinter on our side." said Dark Leo.

[Dark Donatello/Darwin]

(OCC: Will bring in cody and splinter after at least two posts. Want it to be between all the turtles for now. Also feel free to have both mikeys tease raph. So dark raph and dark Donny are referring the other darks and each other by their nicknames. While they refer to their clones by their full name. Plus Donny and raph for the moment will refer to their dark brothers as dark leo, dark Donny, dark mikey and dark raph. Hope that prevents confusion for now)

The first time raph had met Dark Leo and the dark turtles, he never anticipated they could or would change. But this war had changed him a lot. And seeing the dark turtles be genuinely compassionate with them and each other made raph realize that people could in fact change. Raph had experienced many people change from bad to good instantly, one example being of course Ruber. He couldn't really judge and be so close-minded anymore. So when leo suggested rescuing dark mikey and welcoming the dark turtles as their brothers, Raph didn't really think twice about it. While there was always a part of him that was cautious and distrusting, it was subsided by his newfound ability to forgive. He was a lot more forgiving to others since raph's history in the war was not so great.

The past couple days made him realize that the dark turtles were also victims of manipulation and abusive tendencies from darius dunn. It cleared his head a lot thanks to cody's insight on the matter too. Cody was the one who arrived alongside dark leo and mikey. Then not long after dark Donatello and dark raphael did. Raph was a bit surprised of how willing he was to welcome the dark turtles in but then again, this war changed him to be willing to do things he normally wouldn't do.

He looked up to see dark raphael speak to him and ask how he was. Raph gave a smile replying "Fine. Yourself?" He then nodded as dark raphael expressed he was fine. Then he nodded humbly as dark raphael said he was sorry. Raphael shrugged casually "Eh. It's okay. I get it. A guy like darius dunn would scare me too" He then shrugged more, replying earnestly "Hell he did scare me sometimes" He then blushed a bit as he admitted that and nodded when dark raphael asked about it "Yeah. Really. People like dunn are bad news. But you and your brothers are my brothers and I stick by my bros no matter what" He then smiled as dark raphael reciprocated his loyalty.

He then blushed more as he realized his wrongdoings too. So he humbly replied "Listen I should say sorry too. For calling you names, and hurting ya feelings. You're not ugly. And if you are that'd make me ugly" He then laughed as dark raphael joked about being good looking. He and dark raphael then heard talking from the medical bay. He then told dark raphael "Come on. Sounds like our bro is awake" He then went with him, as well as smiling as he saw Donny and Dark Donatello.

He then turned to see both dark raphael and dark Donatello check on dark mikey. He then went over to also check. He replied with a smile "Hey there, you doing good?" He then heard the topic of pranking and replied as he saw both dark mikey and mikey stare at him when both leos and both Donny's told them not to prank them. Raph replied threateningly "You two better not get any funny ideas on me either. I can take a lot of things, pranks ain't one of them"

Dark raphael was quite worried when dark mikey had been in the medical bay due to wounds from dunn. It just further frightened him. He had tried to encourage dark leo to not fight against dunn, fearing that the man would kill them. But now that he was here, and thanks to their clones/new brothers saving him, they were now away from dunn. Maybe some things were worth the risk after all. He saw Raph sitting nearby on the back porch. He had a bad history with raph, but now that he thought about it, he didn't really have much reason to be so hateful. If anything, he found himself having the same interests as raph did. Which made dark raphael think that maybe raph wasn't so bad after all. Besides, raph was warm and kind to dark mikey and dark leo, and in essence more kind to him. That was worth something.

Dark raphael went over and asked raph "Hey. How are you.. raphael?" He then smiled a bit as raph was reciprocating his small talk. He then replied "I'm well. Thanks" He then took a deep breath, then replied humbly "Listen. I want to say sorry for the stuff I did in the past. My Leo made me realize it wasn't right. I didn't really want to be enemies with nobody, it's just... darius dunn was my boss. And he scared me" He then widened his eyes as raph let it go and even admitted darius scared him "Really? You too?" He then smiled as raph called him and the other dark turtles his brothers. Dark Raphael replied earnestly "You're my brother too. So I stick by you too" He then jokingly responded as raphael made a comment about their appearance "Well we must be related for sure then because I think we both look good"

He then nodded following raph to the medical bay. He then saw Donatello and dark Donatello come by. He then saw dark mikey and replied "Mikey, you're alright!" He then hugged him but then blushed as dark Donatello reminded him of his injuries. He turned to dark mikey replying "Shoot. Sorry bro"

Donatello was immensely open to the idea of nurturing, after all, it benefited more with the nuture technique than the nature technique. He knew their last visit with dark leo didn't end well but he more than made up for it by changing himself and helping his other dark brothers change. He was also quite helpful and compassionate towards cody and the turtles themselves. Dark mikey also showed clear signs of changing, as did both dark Donatello and dark raphael. Donatello completely agreed with Leonardo, the dark turtles were their brothers no matter what. Even if their history in the past wasn't great. Donatello was compassionate before and he was twice as compassionate now. He wasn't going to lose any of his brothers, and would help them in any way he can.

He looked up to dark Donatello who asked how dark mikey was. Donny checked the records and replied "He's still got some bruised ribs, and a couple cuts that still need bandaging, but he's otherwise okay. He's getting better" He then smiled as dark Donatello made a snarky comment about how simple that was. Donny replied "Maybe but I'd rather have simple information telling me he's fine then have a complex problem that I can't solve" He nodded satisfied as dark Donatello said he had a point. He then raised his hand as dark Donatello struggled to apologize "It's fine dark don, I understand what you're trying to say. And I forgive you. For it all. It's like leo said, we're brothers. Brothers make mistakes sometimes. But in the end, we stick by each other" He then smiled more, pleased to see dark Donatello reply that was something they definitely agreed on. He then heard dark mikey and replied "Come on. Let's check on him"

He then smiled as dark raphael and dark Donatello talked to dark mikey. Donny then went over to both mikey and dark mikey replying "I'm glad you two are getting along at least" He then looked to dark mikey and replied "You're doing really well for that blast. Speaking of which, that was definitely a brave thing to do. Good on you" He then listened to dark leo and leo's comments on pranking. He then replied "That goes for me and dark Donny too, we have work to do and the last thing we need is mischief in the lab"

Dark Donatello was not sure if he deserved forgiveness or even was sure that if this good guy thing would work out. But he definitely didn't regret trying to be good. After all, he enjoyed being atoned and enjoyed the new brotherhood he received from both his dark others and his clone turtle brethren. He was very fond of his dark brothers and was quite inspired by Donatello. He even would go so far as to admit that he wished to be more like Donatello in many ways, which was why he studied Donatello's moves as much as he did. He knew this was not going to be easy for him, especially since he knew he had a ego. But he was more than willing to try, especially since his brother dark leo was so willing and able.

He was worried about dark mikey, but hid it by being somewhat isolatory. He visited his dark brothers and was corgial to the clones, but he was just nervous. He hoped his brothers would understand. He then saw Donatello and asked nervously "How's Mikey?" He then rolled his eyes, a way to cover up his relief, and replied irritably "Oh is that all? I could've easily figured that out. It's so simple" He then was stunned as Donatello pointed out being simple was better than being complex and a issue. Dark Donny admitted defeat and replied "Alright. I suppose that's true"

He then felt the awkward tension and decided maybe now was a good time to finally admit to his wrongdoings and apologize. After all, he was welcomed in when he didn't deserve it and was even treated with a lot more love than he should've been. Dark Donny took a breath "Listen. Donatello. About before. I wanted to say... I've done some things and... well what I mean to say is... I guess I want to say I was wrong. Which means I'm... well I'm.." He then was surprised and flattered at Donny's response and his willingness to forgive. Maybe dark leo was right and these turtles weren't so bad after all. He then nodded "We agree on that. We stick by each other" He then nodded as they went to check on dark mikey.

He then rolled his eyes again and reprimanded dark raphael gently "Raph please be careful he has bruised ribs" He then sighed before going to dark mikey. He then responded to dark mikey, with a hint of affection replying "You did good mikey" He then said with a evident amount of nervousness "But that being said I'm going to kill dunn if I see him. He won't mess with you and get away with it" He then replied softly, only for dark mikey to hear "I should've been there"

Dark Mikey grinned.

"So no pranking the family got it." replied Dark Mikey.

Dark Mikey chuckled.

"Definitely. It's like looking in a mirror. Maybe we should do something like schedule time for training or lab and the rest of the day we spend together or with others. Or we'll just sick Master Splinter on you." replied Dark Mikey.

He blinked over at Mikey in astonishment.

"Are you kidding me? It took everything I had to keep up with you in our battles. Who told you that you weren't a warrior?" replied Dark Mikey.

He joined the hug after listening to Dark Leo try to cheer up Leo and Mikey.

"He's right. You guys are amazing. You were so amazing they had to clone you guys to get us. They wouldn't do that if they didn't think that too." said Dark Mikey.

Mikey nodded.

"Sounds fair. As long as the two of you limit your time in the lab, Donny. Leo and Raph tend to overdo it in the training but you overdo it in the lab. And I'm sure are other brothers are quite similar." said Mikey.

He laughed at his brother and counterpart.

"Oooh sicking father on them. I like that." replied Mikey.

Hearing Leo's doubts he sighed.

"We get it, Leo. Honestly, I'm surprised you didn't take a break sooner. You were going nonstop for years. You kept us alive and safe. But we have more than enough help here now. You can take of you now." said Mikey.

He sighed.

"At least you're a warrior." replied Mikey.

Hearing Dark Mikey's words he blushed and grinned sheepishly.

"I did." said Mikey

Leo paused hearing Mikey and Dark Mikey threaten to send Splinter after them to limit the time they train or are in the lab. And he grinned sheepishly.

"I guess I do overdo it sometimes. But it's just to keep us all safe. If I make a mistake out there and someone gets hurt....

He sighed.

"Definitely a good reason I'm not the leader anymore." mentioned Leo.

He turned to his counterpart and shook his head.

"After I got brainwashed by Malachite into being his familiar and slave and nearly killing Mikey, Raph and Splinter...... I had to step back." saiud Leo.

Leo heard Dark Mikey defend Mikey after Mikey put himself down.

"You're a great warrior Mikey. Splinter told me what happened. I'm sorry I was hard on you. On all 3 of you. I was so focused on keeping you safe I forgot to have fun. I'm doing better now but there were times I'd look in the mirror and realize I don't even know who I am." said Leo.

When Dark Leo pulled him and Mikey into a hug he was surprised but embraced it.

Dark Leo raised an eyebrow.

"You don't lead anymore?" asked Dark Leo.

Hearing his brothers in such pain he pulled Leo and Mikey both into a hug startling them both.

"Stop putting yourselves down. You two are amazing. You were an inspiration to me, Leo. You led your brothers and cared for them. Always looking out for them. Sure maybe you overdid it but you gave up your childhood to care for them. In some ways, you were like a second father to them. And that's admirable." replied Dark Leo.

He then turned to Mikey.

"And you are a great warrior. You think outside the box and take people by surprise. You make us laugh but you do hide behind your humor. It's like your mask to hide when you're hurt." replied Dark Leo.,
