Personality:
Miguel is moralistic, sensitive and empathetic. He values culture, life and people, which is due to being a idealistic fun loving person in general. While he can be quite greedy, he tends to not value money as much as he values adventure. He's brave, curious, optimistic and cheerful, which can make him a bit of a naïve dreamer at times. Despite the tendency to be innocently oblivious, he can be quite wise, thoughtful and open minded. He's compassionate and pacifistic, not wanting to hurt anyone if he can help it. He does, however, tend to let his emotions get the best of him sometimes and can be quite passive aggressive when he feels ignored or hurt. He's loyal to the core though and is noble-hearted.
History:
Miguel was born and raised in spain, with a single mother who worked two jobs just to get by and take care of him. Miguel as such would sometimes to odd jobs and whatnot to help her. One day he met a young boy slightly older than him by the name of tulio and they became best of friends. They had stayed together for years, even becoming scam artists partners by the time Miguel was twenty one and tulio was twenty three. They had been arrested a few times but were either let go for good behavior or they talked their way out of it.
One day, he and tulio played dice with a group of gangsters. Due to tulio's loaded dice, they managed to win everything. The gangster leader though demanded one more roll, believing the two to be cheating. In exchange for all the cash, he'd give them a map to el dorado a legendary city of gold. Miguel begged tulio to take the deal, and tulio agreed but at the cost of using the gangster leader's dice instead. Thankfully they won that round, getting the map but they were exposed for using loaded dice. They escaped onto a ship only to be taken in as prisoners to be enslaved in cuba. Thanks to Miguel's quick thinking the two managed to escape with a lifeboat, along with Altivo a stowaway horse. They landed on a island which Miguel learned was el dorado and the two explored to eventually find the city. They pretended to be gods to avoid punishment and Miguel fell in love with the city, while tulio fell in love with the gold as well as a thief by the name of chel. Miguel was then confronted by tulio who told him they had to leave, due to the high priest Tzeklkhan constantly demanding they sacrifice someone. Miguel and tulio were then forced to play a ball game but thankfully they won thanks to cheating. Tzeklkhan demanded a sacrifice for their victory but Miguel told him off saying they didn't want or need a sacrifice and saying that nobody deserved to suffer. Miguel than fired tzeklkhan which caused him to get unintentionally exposed as human and not a god. While Tzeklkhan left, Miguel began to love the city more and more, dreading to leave. He then saw tulio throw him under the bus to convince chel to come with him which only motivated him to stay more, as the only reason he was willing to leave was to stay beside his friend. He confronted tulio about it only to be attacked by a magically controlled stone jaguar. In a corner beside tulio, Tzeklkhan exposed them for their lies about being gods, which lead to tensions between tulio and Miguel to reach a breaking point. Despite their anger, they successfully defeated Tzeklkhan and prevented from getting injured in the process. Miguel then planned to stay while tulio left.
Unfortunately Cortes was about to be lead by Tzeklkhan to the city of el dorado. Thanks to tulio's plan to crash the boat into the walls to close them off from cortes, the city would be saved but then the pillars went too fast for tulio's boat. Worried for his friend's safety, Miguel sacrificed his desires to help tulio escape out. Alongside tulio, Altivo and chel, he escaped the city and saved it from cortes and tzeklkhan's wrath. Miguel and tulio let by gones be by gones and went to journey off alongside Altivo and Chel. They had been doing adventures since.
One day though Miguel awoke in a city called Chicago, with no idea how or why he came here. He took refuge in ask thatguy's army, panicking as he heard rumors that tzeklkhan was looking for him and was planning to kill him. He now resides as a willing ally but only hopes tulio, Altivo and chel are okay.
Allies: Tulio, Altivo, Chel, ATG Army
Enemies: Tzeklkhan, Facilier and Critic Army
Plans: Maybe get a romance, if we get a tulio definitely bond with him.
