Why did you pick him/her?: Fun villain played by Christopher Lloyd;
Picture:
Personality: evil, greedy, powerful, manipulative, cunning, short tempered, agressive. He considers the lamp his and is after unlimited power and will get rid of anyone he has to that gets in his way. With his talisman combined with the lamp he has unlimited wishes when using a lamp getting around the usual three limit.
History:
Merlock is a centuries old wizard having gained immortality years ago. He can still be harmed and injured but he won't die from old age. He lost the magic lamp to Collie Baba years ago. And Baba buried the lamp with his fortune somewhere in the desert to keep it safe from thieves. Merlock hired the thief Djonn to help him locate it. Djonn happened to make himself the tour guide to Scrooge McDuck's group who found the lost treasure and the lamp.
Merlock attacks stealing the fortune but missing the lamp as Scrooge gave it to Webby thinking it was junk. Webby thought it was an ancient teapot and planned to clean it up and use it to for tea parties. He left them to die by giant scorpions but when he learned the lamp wasn't with the tresure he returned to find Scrooge and the others ahd escaped. He followed them to Duckburg and was annoyed they learned of the lamp and its powers even releasing Gene from the lamp.
Scrooge uses the lamp to wish for the treasure of Ali Baba and tells everyone he found it. But Merlock learns where they are and has Djonn steal it. But Gene manipualtes Djonn into being his master as he's slightly bette4r than Merlock. Djohnn uses his first wish to steal Scrooge's fortune, which puts Scrooge in jail. Webby and the others attempt to steal the lamp back.
Merlock steals the lamp back and uses his amluet to get more wishes. He'd once used his three wishes up centuries ago but with the amulet he can have as many wishes as he desires. He wishes for Djohnn to become a pig and for Scrooge's money bin to turn into his old palace. His third wish is to kill Scrooge but the lamp is knocked out of his hand. Merlock and Sherlock go after it and during the fight Scrooge knocks the amluet out of his hand causing Merlock to fall to his death. Gene and the others save Scrooge in time and later Gene is wished free. Merlock wakes up in another world and joins Critic's army especially on learning some of his enemies are here including Gene.
