Worth More Than Magic(Verna)

[Cinderella]

(OCC: May 21st, morning. Bonding thread between verna and cindy. Cause why not)

Cinderella had been busy for a while, cleaning up after things and helping out with the children. She willingly liked to help clean this time, even feeling useful while doing it. When she married into the royal family she had never minded helping around the house, but felt relieved that she was allowed to take breaks or not participate when she didn't feel great. But here, she felt like it was a duty of honor more than anything. Maybe it was because her leaders didn't force her. Maybe that was it. Force. She hated being forced to do anything, it reminded her of her old life.

The only good thing in her old life was verna. Who was pretty much more than just a guardian, she was like a grandmother to her at this point. The fairy godmother always visited the castle upon cinderella's request and the two developed a real, loving family like bond as opposed to just a friendship. But a part of her felt like it was best to show her gratitude. So she insisted verna come for a surprise today. She had made verna's favorite breakfast hoping she would appreciate this small gesture of gratitude. Just as she finished, she saw her godmother and cinderella feeling mischievious hid behind the oven. She replied teasingly "Why godmother, my surprise isn't done yet!"

Verna was glad and upset Cinderella was here at the same time. She had missed her but also was worried she could get hurt here. She smiled as she headed into the kitchen.

"I could have sworn Cinderella was in here." said Verna.

She paused hearing her voice and she chuckled.

"Playing hide and seek are we?" teased Verna.

Cinderella felt a child-like sense of joy at the sound of verna's voice. She giggled a little more as she replied "Yes. And you'll have to find me I'm afraid" She giggled a little more. Verna's surprise meanwhile was sitting near the fridge, wrapped up so verna wouldn't see it yet. She replied "If you find me you'll get your surprise faster" She felt like being playful. She had no idea why, but it had been so long since she had fun, with verna in particular. She felt it was right to be fun. Verna just gave her joy and she was sure her presence gave verna joy, at least cinderella hoped so.

Verna chuckled. She decided not to use magic as if Cinderella wanted to play a game with her she would. And magic might end things too quickly.

"Alright. Do I get any clues or do I have to search this place room by room?" asked Verna.

She'd heard of the game but couldn't remember playing it. Or if she had it was so long ago she couldn't remember all the rules.
