Adopted Shadows(Gi, Kwame)

(OCC: May 22nd, morning. Bonding thread between Gi, Kwame and Darkiplier. Basically he's offering to adopt them)

Darkiplier sat at the kitchen table, adoptions papers on said table. He read them over and over again. There had been a small meeting on the unfostered/adopted children the night before, late when the children were asleep. And gi along with her friend Kwame were on that list. Facilier had asked for takers and no one offered to take them, possibly due to fear of Facilier and malachite watched over them to make sure they were cared for. Darkiplier had no such fear and raised his hand with a polite smile. Offering to take them. But malachite insisted that while he was a candidate, he had to have the consent of both children first. 

Which was why he was here in the morning. He was to discuss the option and let the children decide. So he was here, waiting, as gi and Kwame were supposed to meet him here. Darkiplier's fingers tapped on the table, waiting for the two children to come down to face him. He looked at the papers. They read "Gi and Kwame Shadow. Adopted guardian, Darkiplier". Shadow was the last legal name of the two children as darkiplier didn't really have a name anymore and it was agreed that this would be it. At least if the kids agreed. So he heard footsteps and he relaxed in his seat, smiling calmly to the children. His voice echoed throughout "Kwame. Gi. Come sit by me. We have much to discuss"

Kwame and Gi had been hanging out the past few days when she wasn't with Olive. He didn't want to hog her as he had been surprised by the boyfriend. And she had other friends here. But he was just so glad she was okay. At one time he had a crush on her but now she was his best friend. Well his only friend now. Ma-Ti, Linka and Wheeler were in Critic's army. And Mano was in Ask That Guy's. An alterante universe version of Ma-Ti apparently with Duke Nukem. The only one he could really count on was Gi and he was trying to get to know more people. As he walked in to the kitchen he saw Darkiplier. He wasn't sure what this meeting was about but he was curious.

"Hello, I don think we've met. I'm Kwame." said Kwame.

Gi smiled as she followed Kwame into the kitchen. It had been great hanging out with her old friend again. With the other traitors having joined Ma-Ti she had felt like she was on her own. Until Kwame came here. Maybe if Commander Clash would show up things could be even.

"Hello. Darkiplier right? I'm not sure if we met but there are so many people here. It's hard to get everyone's names straight." said Gi.[/div

"We have not met no, but I know of you two. Still it is good for us to get acquainted. As this topic is quite important" Darkiplier answered both Kwame and gi's concerns of not really meeting him. He turned to Gi and nodded with a polite smile "Yes. I am Darkiplier. You can call me dark if that will make things slightly easier for you, Gi" He then allowed the children to sit. Then he took a breath, replying "I know you both are curious as to why you're meeting me here. Allow me to explain"

He then showed the adoption papers front and center. Showing the two the clear indication of what was happening. He then explained, calmly and trying his absolute best not to seem frightening "You see this meeting is about the both of you. You both are minors and as the law states here, you must be under the custody of an adult until you are of the legal age of eighteen. Neither of you are eighteen. As such, you must be taken care of by a adult" He then showed gi her papers, that showed her picture, name and whatnot. He did the same for Kwame. He awaited them to read it for a small while before continuing to speak "Malachite and Facilier had expressed concerns of you two being taken away without consent and as such had asked the army members to adopt you"

He then adjusted his tie, cleaning himself up a bit as to allow the children to let this sink in "And I volunteered to take you both in. You see, someone must take care of you two in the meantime of this war. And I am that someone. That is if you will allow me" He then smiled, assuringly, trying to appeal to the children's better nature "You will not be forced to do anything you are uncomfortable with doing. This is a formality for someone to properly give you both the care you require. I can take care of you both and give you a home" He then offered the papers for gi and Kwame to sign "I know this is a lot to take in. But this is a measure I needed to take. I am here to adopt you both"

Kwame and Gi were both quiet as they listened. And blinked in surprise seeing adoption papers.

"You wish to adopt us?" asked Kwame.

He looked at her and smiled.

"Well if Gi's happy about it then so am I." said Kwame.

He nodded.

"I also miss my family but they are in another world. We may never see them again. So this at least let's us stay together. And Gi has been like a sister to me since we met. This would just make it official." mentioned Kwame.

"Thank you. I was worried I might have to leave Olive. I've been dating him recently and he already lost his mother before this war started. I don't want him to lose me too." said Gi.

She paused at his words.

"I accept. I miss my family. I haven't seen them in weeks before we got sent here. We were captured by our enemies and experimented on. Kwame and I chose here. and Linka and Wheeler they chose to join the heroes and Ma-Ti."said Gi.

Gi grinned.

"Exactly. And thank you." replied Gi.
