Personality:
Mole is eccentric in every shape of the word, he's energetic, immensely blunt and tends to be passionate about things that only matter to certain people. He's a bit greedy, self righteous and selfish but he overall means well. He's a pleasant, friendly guy underneath his isolatory tendencies. He can have a lack of self awareness or social understanding, due to being focused on overall his emotions rather than common sense. Despite this he's immensely intelligent and quick witted. He's also quite easy to please, enjoying adventure and fun as opposed to anything else. He's also quite noble and compassionate, caring about doing the right thing.
History:
Gaetan Moliére was born to a middle-class working family, the youngest of 4 brothers. Both his parents were teachers; Christof Moliére teaches University courses at the Sorbonne, and Gabrielle Moliére is a retired music teacher.
Gaetan displayed an early interest in subterranean pursuits at the age of 7 when he began exploring the vast sewer networks that lie underneath old Paris. By the age of 13, Moliére had developed a specialized type of goggles and headgear to wear while exploring caves in the surrounding countryside, as the sewers and catacombs held no further challenge or mysteries for him. He entered the Sorbonne at age 17 but left soon after when given the opportunity to act as a special technical adviser to a local mining company. He eventually earned the nickname "Mole" for being so talented.
Since then as time had passed he had become a mineralogist and excavations expert for hire. He eventually crossed paths with a rich man by the name of Preston Whitmore. He has since worked on many expeditions under his eye, working underneath a man by the name of Lyle Rourke and working alongside people such as Manuel Ramierz, Helga Sinclair, Joshua Sweet, Vinny Santorini, Jebidiah "Cookie" Farnsworth and Wilhelmina Packard, befriending them with ease. After a trip to Iceland, Manuel AND Preston retired, being replaced by Audrey(Manuel's youngest daughter) and Milo Thatch(The grandson of Preston's oldest friend and expert on alantis). He befriended Audrey quite quickly, even genuinely liking her, milo however tended to annoy him at first. Milo, in his view, was obnoxious to his needs, but Joshua corrected him to be nicer. So he tried, and alongside the other members, eventually welcomed milo into their group. They eventually found atlantis, meeting the princess of the people.
They eventually discovered where the heart of atlantis was and mole, alongside his group excluding milo, intended to steal it. Wanting to pay back to his own family, mole was convinced to take it despite milo's protests. He did, however, feel shame when he learned kida was absorbed by it and that the people would in fact die. He hesitated with his options, but in the end chose milo and the atlantians. As did vinny, Audrey, sweet, cookie and Packard. Helga and Lyle though were too greedy and were eventually defeated by their efforts, lead by milo thatch. They eventually said good bye, mole eventually being immensely loyal to milo in the end. He then got his overall reward but returned to atlantis to solve three mysteries thanks to alantian creatures being the main focus of them all. One was a mystery of the kracken, one was a mystery on coyote spirits disturbed thanks to the shady dealings of a salesman and one was on a insane former business associate of preston's that believed himself to be odin and intended to use a stolen scepter to bring forth ragnarok. He, alongside his friends, solved these mysteries and things resumed normality. But then Audrey and vinny disappeared, mole was concerned as they were his closest friends, but he found himself disappeared too. Only to be captured by Helga. She forced him to work for her superiors called ask thatguy, and he agreed if only to save himself. But he's determined to find and go back to his friends.
