Why did you pick him/her?: I honestly am curious to play this character. I know he's gotten some of a hateful following but I like his character.

Personality:
Taran is a extremely outgoing and adventurous spirit, despite many obstacles he has immense courage and immense determination. He's ambitious, imaginative, intelligent and hard-working. He's also a bit egotistical, stubborn, impulsive and reckless. He can push buttons very quickly and can lose his patience quickly. He also has a hard time to admit he's wrong due to being a bit arrogant. However he is good hearted and immensely noble, always trying to do the right thing.
History:
Taran was born an orphan, taking in by a kindly old farmer named Dallben. He was raised as his grandson and his assistant. Dallben adopted a very important, gifted pig named Hen Wen when taran was twelve and explained that it was immensely important to take care of her. As she was special. For the next two years, while taran did have a love for the pig, he kept desiring to explore the world of Prydain. He dreamed of being someone important. A hero or knight in shining armor and kept feeling chained down by his life. But dallben kept explaining he was safer here and that his time would come soon. One day Hen Wen acted extremely distressed and nothing could calm her down. Dallben at this told taran to bring her inside and proceeded to make a bowl of water with a candle. Taran was confused to why but dallben explained hen wen had magical powers. Powers of foresight and the reason she was so important was because hen wen's powers were immensely valuable. Anyone would do anything to take her including the tyrant ruler known as the horned king. Dallben, learning from hen wen's vision, learned the horned king learned about Hen Wen and instructed taran to hide her into his second cottage. Taran wanted to fight against the king but dallben told him no, that it was too dangerous.
So he journeyed with hen wen into the forest near the cottage but got distracted by visions of grandeur. He lost Hen Wen and unfortunately the poor pig got captured by the king's dragons, forcing him to go into the king's castle. He snuck in but got discovered and was forced to use hen wen's power to find the cauldron, a weapon that could unleash forces of evil and give the king immense power. He managed to eventually get hen wen out of the castle but got imprisoned for it. He there met Princess Eilowny and her magical bulb, and with their help, along with a self proclaimed bard named Ffflewddur Flam they escaped into the forest. They met up with a creature named Gurgi, a creature taran met previously over him stealing food and Gurgi took them to where he last saw hen wen. Gurgi took him, Flam and Eilowny to a underground kingdom of fairies, where the king there showed hen wen and told them the location of the cauldron. Taran convinced his team to destroy it and stop the horned king that way. They eventually found it, with the help of a fairy by the name of Dolli, in the keeping of three witches in the land of Morva. The witches at first assumed them as spies but then the leader witch saw taran's sword and wished to receive it. So they offered a trade, if they were given the black cauldron taran would give his sword. He agreed but it was for nothing as the cauldron was useless as it could not be destroyed, but only stopped by having a brave soul sacrifice themselves.
This left them in a standstill and taran felt like his team and his own time was wasted. But thanks to Eilowny's kindness, he was motivated to take it away but was captured by the horned king's servants. Then he was imprisoned by the king who used the cauldron to revive his warriors to cause destruction. Meanwhile, gurgi snuck into the castle and saved them but taran knew the cauldron had to be stopped and was willing to sacrifice himself. However Gurgi beat him to it due to sacrificing HIMSELF for the cauldron to be stopped. Taran then fought the king and managed to defeat them escape with Flam and Eliowny. He felt defeated though thanks to gurgi being killed in the process so thanks to Flam's efforts he traded the cauldron for gurgi's life. Gurgi was brought back, and he went to return to his farm with both flam and Eliowny in tow. Eliowny returned to her kingdom but her father gave their relationship a blessing and flam became a fellow assistant to Dallben's farm. And things for a time were quite peaceful.
Until a strange storm hit his home and he awoke in a place called Chicago. Where he was taken in by a army called Ask Thatguy's. Feeling this was his only way back to Prydain, he agreed to stay.
Allies: Princess Eliowny, Ffflewddur Flam, Hen Wen, Dallben, Gurgi, Dolli, Witches of Morva, ATG Army
Enemies: Horned King, Facilier and Critic's Army
Plans: To be able to be another kid actually able to fight most of the time. Be a hero. If we get eliowny, romance them.
