Where is this character from?: The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy
Why did you pick him/her?: Because he's fun and I kind of want him badly

Personality:
Grim is usually laid-back, reasonable, professional, polite, pleasant and usually tries to be friendly. However he has a dark sense of humor that comes across as cruel and blood-thirsty, which doesn't help his image when he loses his patience and strikes with a undeniable rage. Due to being the reaper, he does have a interest and love for violence, enjoying destruction. But he does have standards and doesn't like mindless or unneeded violence, he even goes so far as to believe that if you must kill it must be for a good purpose. He is a tad emotionally insecure and can be a bit cowardly or emotional when pushed too far. However when it comes to people he likes, cares about, or overall has had enough he does have undeniable and uncontrollable rage and will destroy anything in his path. He is not one to mess with. He's kind but usually will fight back if absolutely needed. He's surprisingly loyal, even when at a breaking point and can overall look at a positive side if he is stuck into a bad situation. Despite that, he is sarcastic, cynical, melancholy and tends to be a bit moody.
History:
Grim was raised and born into the underworld, where he was destined to be a reaper. At least that's what his parents constantly told him. But grim didn't really want to be the reaper at first, wanting to be a dancer. This displeased his parents but grim insisted this dream. He even had a bad fight with his parents, running away from home. Grim running away made his mother realize pressure like that was wrong and both he and his mother came to very good terms, getting along much better despite her nagging tendency. She even went as far as to say he was allowed to do what he wanted so long as he was successful at it. His dad however didn't really get the message and distanced himself, angered that his son was neither going to be a country rocker or reaper. This lead to grim constantly needing his father's approval, so he attempted the dancing career as a kid but failed miserably. And as time went on he genuinely seemed to really enjoy the idea of being a reaper of the dead. He eventually confessed that he changed his mind and wanted to do the career his mother wanted, much to his mother's delight, his dad was distant from it still. Grim didn't care about his dad though anymore, feeling that this career might work. The only way to officially be reaper was to enlist by sixteen and get public approval. But boogey, his childhood bully tried to steal the job and his best friend Velma enlisted also. Seeing boogy cheat his way, grim sacrificed his ambitions to get velma into the public vote, but velma assumed grim was going to steal the job from her and broke off their friendship. Angered, grim publically destroyed and humiliated boogy, much to the delight of his peers. And with a public vote of 100% grim managed to get his permanent job as reaper. And only at sixteen years old.
Years passed and grim was a powerful master at his craft, he even went so far as to enjoy his job. However one day, he was due to visit Mr. Snuggles, a hamster long past his time. He was attempting to take him but two children, by the names of Billy and Mandy attempted to stop him. They eventually came to a bet. The three would play a limbo game. If Grim lost, he was indebted to be their friend forever. If he won, he would take snuggles and perhaps even the two children. Mandy and Billy managed to fairly beat him and he was indebted to be their friend forever. Leading him to serve and work for them in countless misadventures, working and serving their every whim. He hated these kids, at least at first. However as time went on he actually started to like and even willingly serve them. He especially was fond of Billy. He managed during his time with them, confront his dad, rekindle his friendship with velma and even save both Christmas and Halloween. Then one day he disappeared to here, Chicago Illinois. Much to both his joy and horror. He was happy he was away from his masters but also worried about them, both for punishment from mandy but also worried that they were in danger. So he joined ask thatguy, and agreed to find them. Along with somewhat enjoy his new found freedom
