Why did you pick him/her?: For Basil to have a little sidekick, plus she's adorable I love her

Personality:
Olivia is a sweet, mild-mannered polite little lady. However, she does not take any nonsense from anyone and is quite confident despite herself. She tends to be a tad more curious than most kids and can accidentally get in trouble due to her impulse control problem and easily distracted mind. She is, however, quite intelligent and vivid in memory and tends to be a lot more cunning than one would assume. She's courageous, determined, loyal and overall a very nice little girl. She's pleasant and humble, not afraid to be honest and also not afraid to be peaceful. She is a bit feisty and spirited despite her overall mild-mannered personality.
History:
Olivia was born in Scotland but grew up in both England AND Scotland. She went to school in England then stayed at Scotland during the summer. Her father, a famous toymaker, provided for her as a single parent and the two were pretty simple and enjoyed their lives. One night however a strange bat came and kidnapped her father, leaving her alone. Frightened to where her father might be, she tried to find basil but ended up getting lost herself. Thanks to the kindness of a simple doctor named Dawson, she managed to get to baker street and successfully find the famous detective. At first she failed to get his attention due to the case being low-brow for him, but once he realized who kidnapped him, basil's attention rose. Olivia explained a bat with a peg leg took him and basil explained it was Fidget, the main henchman of his arch enemy Professor Ratigan. Basil asked more questions and olivia explained he simply disappeared and she did not know where he went. Basil and Dawson both agreed ratigan obviously needed him alive, but the question was why. Just as they were discussing fidget attempted to grab her in basil's own home, thankfully her fright scared him off. Basil decided to go to get his friend Toby to search for fidget's trail and Olivia insisted to come, but basil of course felt it was a bit too dangerous(And annoying) to have a little kid follow him. However olivia persisted and eventually joined them.
They met Toby and managed to go to another toy store where fidget grabbed supplies, thanks to dawson basil found his list. But at a hefty price. Olivia unfortunately got distracted and lured away, captured by fidget when dawson and basil weren't looking. She eventually was trapped in a bottle as a ploy to get her father to cooperate. It turned out Ratigan needed her father to make a robot duplicate of the queen, to make himself king at her jubilee. If he refused, Olivia would be killed. She stayed captive until both dawson and basil rescued her and they managed to stop ratigan's scheme but ratigan was three steps ahead. He attempted to escape, taking olivia as ransom. She attempted to stop his efforts in her own way and managed to be rescued once more and reunited with her father. After the whole chaos, she returned to Scotland with her father saying her heart-felt goodbyes to dawson and basil. She was content in Scotland until the next school year when suddenly she awoke in a strange new place. She found and reunited with basil who explained to her she was stuck in Chicago. She stayed mostly because basil, the only friend she knew here, was stuck with her.
