Why did you pick him/her?: fun character. and drama for tobias being int he other army. and to be there for cassie and tom.

Personality: brave, compassionate, strong-willed, a strong leader. He is loyal to his friends and family and very protective of them. Being forced into slavery brings back bad memories of the Yerk being in control of his mind and gives him occasional nightmares.
History:
Jake had a relatively normal childhood. He had an older brother Tom, his parents, an aunt and uncle and his cousin Rachel he hung out with a lot. He was also friends with Marco who was his best friend and Cassie who was also Rachel's best friend and his secret crush. The four hung out often and one day they started hanging out with the new kid Tobias. They passed threw a construction site where a space ship crashed. They found a dying Andalite named Elfangor who gave the five teens powers through a blue box they all touched. Powers that would let them turn into animals for a short time. The teens fled with the box but saw the Yerk arrive who destroyed Elfangor after learning the box was gone. And thus the Animorphs were born.
Despite their fear and many challenges, they would face the team did not give up. They gained an Andaliate Ax who was the half brother of Elfangor who helped them. Jake's brother was revealed to be controlled by Yerks and this group he was a part of where all people being controlled by Yerks. Despite his best efforts, they weren't able to free Tom from the Yerks. Jake briefly became a host to Tom's old host after Tom gained a new Yerk master. The Animorphs were able to hold Jake as a hostage long enough for the Yerk to crawl out of Jake and die. Jake shaken by this tried to move forward but still has nightmares about it. Only they are worse that he never got out, his friends are dead and the Yerks enslaved the Earth. He doesn't tell anyone about these dreams but he has a feeling they know something's wrong.
They went on many more adventures stopping the Yerks and gaining more allies. Unfortunately, Tobias became stuck in hawk morph but still helped them when he could. He eventually regained the ability to morph and could even regain his human form temporarily but his normal form was now the hawk. They also learned that Elfangor was Tobias's father making Ax his uncle.
One day Jake woke up in another world. He found himself at a circus, and once there he found himself a slave to the army. They knew of his abilities and put a collar around his neck blocking his powers. He was now trapped in his human form and at the mercy of his new captors.
Allies: Tom (brother, complicated); Rachel (cousin); Cassie; Tobias (complicated); Marco; Ax; Andalites; Facilier's Army.
Enemies: Yerks; the yerk in Tom's head; Ask That Guy's Army & Critic's Army; Tobias (complicated).
Plans: find a way to free his brother from the yerk; meet tobias at some point; eventually date cassie; reunite with cassie & tom.
