Quote: "And for once it might be grand, to have someone understand I want so much more than they got planned"
Name: Belle
Age: 20
Where is this character from?: Beauty and The Beast
Why did you pick him/her?: Just cause we need her and I love her
Picture:
Personality:
Belle is intelligent, independent and has a adventurous, open-minded spirit. She takes very little nonsense from others and usually goes out of her way to stand up for the right thing. She's immensely loyal, determined and compassionate. She cares about others and the world around her, appreciating the cultural and natural things in life. She does have a romantic side to her, appreciating the kindness and loving nature of life. She is not cold-hearted in the slightest but she can be blunt and harsh with words if she is angered or irritated. She has quite of lot of patience but she will not allow people to walk all over her or others, especially when it comes to being bullied. She is brave, thoughtful, spirited and good-hearted. She is pleasant and overall friendly to be around and does have immense empathy. She's also quite quiet, preferring simple activities than energetic ones.
History:
Belle was born in the country-side of france on a small farm with her parents. Her childhood was relatively easy and she very rarely got picked on as a kid, but when her mother died of illness her father Maurice moved them to a new town things changed. She didn't find many friends, due to being outcast as weird due to literally doing non-traditional things. She preferred books over going out to parties, she preferred to work hard rather than find someone to marry. While no-one exactly hated her, no one really reached out to her except her father, the bakers and the town librarian. She was very, very close with her father anyway so she overall got over the lack of social acceptance. This quiet, somewhat lonely lifestyle she got used to until Gaston started to pursue her. He was annoying and thick-minded, and kind of conceited which turned belle off quite quickly. If she was going to marry someone, it was not going to be this jerk. She told her father this and he replied she would know what's best for herself. Then he went to the local fair for his new invention, one that belle was convinced would actually work. Belle loved her father and had a huge respect for his inventions, thinking him as a genius just misunderstood. Belle waited for his return and while her father was gone, gaston tried to propose, belle refused again totally not interested.
Felipe, her horse, returned empty handed one evening and belle was scared. Her father was old and if he was missing he could get hurt or sick quite quickly. Her horse took her to a castle, where her father was prisoner. The master of the castle declared him a trespasser, a person unwelcome. Belle begged for him to be released and the master said no, he was prisoner. But then belle made a deal, if he could go home free she would take his place. The master accepted and belle felt genuinely and finally alone. But she found friends in Lumiere, Mrs. Potts and her Wardrobe. Eventually, as time went on, the master eventually became her friend. Sure he was The Beast, but he was more than just his appearance. Belle really grew fond of his friendship which was why she was sad to leave him for the sake of saving her father. However, as she returned to her father, she felt a bit empty despite this. But her emptiness was forgotten due to D'Arque attempting to lock him away. Gaston appeared before her, saying he would help Maurice if belle married him. Angered, she refused and showed the mirror the beast gave as a gift as proof of the beast's existence. Unfortunately it worked too well, the town feared the beast and gaston lead a assault on the castle. Belle was locked away for trying to stop them. But thanks to Chip stowing away she managed to try to save the beast. The Beast managed to defeat gaston but not at the cost of his life. Belle, devastated, tearfully confessed her love for him. He transformed into a human again, and they married not long after. Then he and she both disappeared and found themselves in the nostalgia critic's home. She had been here and there trying to understand this place but all she knows is she needs to be here for her husband and her friends. So she will.
