Quote: "I'm in a tree with a man who talks to monkeys!"
Name: Jane Porter
Age: 21
Where is this character from?: Disney's Tarzan, Legend of Tarzan Series, Tarzan and Jane
Why did you pick him/her?: For Tarzan, to bond with her husband in this crazy world. Basically for queen la too and lady eugena
Picture:
Personality: Jane overall likes to be polite and well-mannered, being overall pleasant and cheerful with others. However, she tends to get impatient, especially when people are rude and aggressive, having a deep sense of empathy for both man and animal. She is immensely compassionate, emotionally intelligent and open-minded, hence why she is probably so understanding to people and animals alike. She is ambitious, going out of her way to get what she or her family wants, determined and not overall really sensitive to what others think overall. She does have a tendency to be klutzy and oblivious sometimes, so focused on certain ambitions and things that she sometimes doesn't realize it until last minute. She is loyal and kind, especially to her father and her husband.
History:
Jane Porter was born in England, raised by her single father Archimedes, her mother dying not long after she was born. She is extremely close with her father, so much that she wanted to be a animal researcher just like he was. She worked and studied very hard as well as work on artistry, as she liked to draw as a hobby and was praised overall because she was really good at drawing. Years later she did indeed accomplish her dreams and became his assistant, though Archimedes valued her advice so much that she was basically the leader of their gorilla expedition in Africa. She and her father hired Clayton as their bodyguard, unknowing of his ulterior motives as well as his rather trigger-happy personality. She got a bit lost after studying a baby baboon, and she drew a picture for study. However the baby quite enjoyed the picture and stole it. Jane, not one to have her things taken, swiped it back much to the baby's sadness. The baby threw a temper tantrum, causing the group of adult baboons to retaliate. Jane might've been killed were it not for a strange but amazingly skilled man who grabbed her out of harms way and saved her.
The two quickly befriended each other and she found out his name was Tarzan. Tarzan assisted her to her camp where she actually and finally caught sight of gorillas for a short time. While tarzan escaped, she met back with her father and clayton, explaining her baboon mishap and explained tarzan saved her. While her father was rather believing, clayton thought she was delusional. At least until tarzan came back to see her. They then decided to 'civilize' him, by teaching him English and exploring alongside him. Jane, much to her denial, began to have feelings for him but she forced them down because she couldn't exactly stay in the jungle. Especially since they weren't here for him. They were here for gorillas. But she did care for him deeply, and she had guilt because of it. Especially when he asked her to stay. Tarzan lead them to the gorillas hoping it would convince her to stay but before she could really give a answer kerchak came back and retaliated thinking they were enemies. Tarzan then the morning after came with a tux, saying if she wouldn't stay, he would go with her. That gave her joy. At least until clayton declared a mutiny on the ship, capturing her, her father and the captain(who was their good friend), alongside tarzan himself.
You see clayton had his own motives for gorillas. To sell them or kill them for a consolation prize. And now he was going to do so thanks to jane's expedition. Jane would not kill gorillas, she purely did it for her father to study and learn them. Jane was mortified and assisted tarzan in stopping him. They succeeded but not without the cost of kerchak's life, she at first was going to genuinely go back to England with her father but her father knew she loved him. Her father insisted she stay, knowing that was where she belonged and she did indeed stay and become his wife. Much to her relief, her father decided to stay for his own reasons. She had many adventures alongside her husband, including confronting Clayton's sister and Queen La. One day her husband disappeared and jane went to search only for she herself to be missing. She ended up here and was relieved her husband was also here
Allies: Tarzan, Archimedes Q. Porter, Terk, Tantor, Kala
Enemies: Queen La, Clayton, Lady Eugena
Plans: Bond with tarzan, confront La and Eugena.
