[Malachite Gamic's Shadow]

Malachite moaned as he woke up. He was shirtless wearing only a pair of black pants. His top hat lay on top of his jacket and shirt folded underneath him. He waved his hand conjuring a mirror as he saw his face still had a few bruises and scars that would hopefully heal in time. And he could see the bandages on his arms chest, and stomach. That robotic brat had done more damage than he'd realized. Just then the door opened as Pete almost knocked him onto his back as he was hugging him. He hugged Pete back. He still felt bad his son was a dragon. So

"Pete it's okay. I'm alright. It'll take a lot more to take me down." Said Malachite.

He looked up in surprise to see his shadow appear and apologize to him. That he did not expect.

"Are you kidding? You were amazing out there. I'm grateful you're alright." said Malachite.

He smiled as Gi and Shaggy arrived. He blushed a bit at Shaggy's joking tone. His family had grown a lot more than he'd planned. Gi was Olive's girlfriend and Shaggy was like another member of the family. In his eyes they both were and he wouldn't let anyone hurt his family.

Pete walked to the room. He had gone to get something to eat reluctantly. He'd gotten a quick meal and was back to see his dad. He opened the door seeing Malachite awake as he rushed up hugging him. Or tried to. Being a kid dragon it was harder to hug him as his arms were so small. So all he could do was nuzzle him.

"You're okay! When Papa said you were hurt I thought I was going to lose you." whispered Pete.

Pete grinned seeing Gi and Shaggy arrive.

"He might be with Papa. I hope they're okay." said Pete.

Malachite's Shadow flew in having kept an eye on Pete. And he could sense when Malachite was awake. He flew over and tipped his hat into a bow showing his loyalty to him.

"I'm sorry I failed you. You nearly died...."

He smiled as Malachite said he had been amazing and he smiled at the praise. He was always glad to make his master happy. He'd vowed to do better so Malachite nor his family would end up this badly hurt again.

Gi walked in next. It was hard being a duck but she hoped this spell would be reversed soon.

"Hey, Pete. Have you seen Olive? I got separated from him and... Oh! Malachite you're awake! That 's good news. I'm sure Facilier and Olive will be overjoyed at the news." said Gi.

She grinned.

"Rita, Elliot, and Leonardo have been standing outside since you were found from what I hear. I don't envy anyone wanted to go up against any of them.." said Gi.

Shaggy walked in next spotting the group. He was Facilier's familiar but he'd kind of become part of this family in a way. Kind of like a big brother or an uncle of sorts to Olive and Pete. At least that's how he saw himself as. He smiled seeing Malachite was okay.

"Thank goodness. I'm glad you're okay. You focus on getting better." said Shaggy.

Shaggy chuckled.

Although if you pull something that stupid again and have everyone worry about you I might ask for you to be locked up for your own safety. And for our sanity." said Shaggy.

[Dr. Facilier]

Olive got separated from gi due to taking another way, to get his father a advil bottle hoping it would help the aches. Well that and he was still a immensely tiny kitten, so it was easy to get lost. Luckily, Facilier was not that far behind him. Olive was beyond upset when Facilier explained malachite got injured. He wasn't upset to the point of getting angsty but he definitely did get nervous. Olive felt like this was time that he took his role as heir to the leaders more seriously. He was inherited this group next to his brother and olive was slightly older, if something were to happen to all of them he would be alone again. Olive did not want that to happen. Ever. He lost his mother but he couldn't lose his parents, gi or pete. He ran into the room, Facilier and Facilier's shadow both right beside him.

Olive was absolutely relieved to see malachite awake. It meant the danger of losing him had past. Olive's emotions got the better of him, he turned away trying his absolute best not to cry in front of his family. But tears still spilled. Olive went over to malachite, putting the advil he had in his mouth on the table, Facilier stood near both elliot and olive. Olive replied softly "I got some advil for you. Just in case" He then sighed softly then replied to malachite "I'm so glad you're okay. I wouldn't know what to do if you..." He then blushed in embarrassment, not wanting to ruin the cheerful mood.

"Olive insisted he get you something to help. Tried to tell him we were working on it, but we got sweet kids" Facilier replied affectionately. He then turned to malachite's shadow and replied to him "Both you and shadow made sure malachite came back home safe and sound. That to me is not failure" He then gave a tender, but gentle to prevent injuring malachite further, hug to malachite and replied firmly "That robot brat's gonna rue the day she was created. Mark my words" He then turned to shaggy and smirked at his joke "I was tempted to say I'll have to make a shield for malachite"

Shadow went over to malachite, a big relieved smile evident in his body. He made a growl-like affectionate noise before his attention immediately went to his shadow. The shadow turned to malachite's shadow with a thumbs up, as if to also praise him for his good job. If anyone was successful in that mission it was malachite's shadow. He was the one who actually managed to save him from darkheart's damaging blows. Shadow then glided over to malachite's shadow to look him up and down as if to check if he wasn't damaged.

Malachite smiled hugging Olive and Pete.

"I'm sorry to have worried all of you. But I will get better in time." said Malachite.

When Olive got some advil he took it.

"Thank you Olive. These definitely will help." said Malachite.

At the mention of shields he nodded.

"Shields for our sons is definitely a good idea. Maybe develop ones for everyone in the army. At least the younger members." said Malachite.

Pete paused looking confused.

"What's Advil?" asked Pete.

He paused with a smile.

"Well, that sounds like it'd actually help. Unless it came from someone like Doctor Terminus who cares more about money than people's lives." said Pete.

Gi smiled at him.

"They're medicine to help you not feel the pain. Depending on the medicine you don't feel it all and some just make it hurt less." said Gi.

She shook her head.

"Not all doctors are like that charlatan." said Gi.

Malachite's Shadow grinned seeing Facili er's shadow give him the thumbs up.

"I was just glad I could help in time." said Malachite's Shadow.

Shaggy smiled.

"Well you should make one for Oliv e and Pete for sure. We can't guarantee one of us three or one of the other stronger members will be there all the time. At least a shield they can protect themselves better. Although I'd say Malachite could use one too." said Shaggy.
