Seeing Eye-To-Eye(Leonardo)

[Max Goof]

(OCC: May 29th. Afternoon. I couldn't resist. If you don't wanna have this thread, Chick feel free to message me)

Max was struggling a bit on how exactly he wanted to tell leonardo how he felt. More importantly, how to tell him. He thought of a rock and roll concert like surprise with the public seeing his declaration. Then he remembered leonardo was already struggling with being accepted by everyone thanks to him formerly being a enemy. He could understand. Plus leonardo didn't seem like the type of guy to like being the complete center of attention anyway, even though max thought he deserved all the attention and praise in the world. He then thought of a personal song but then he struggled because he wasn't the best singer. He then thought of doing stunts for him to impress leonardo but then realized how was he supposed to tell his feelings.

Then he saw leonardo spar one day, he was sparring with his brother raphael and the two began a conversation. A conversation about how leonardo wanted a new sword. A sword made by the finest japanese metal. Leonardo loved his training and liked his life as a ninja, taking it as seriously as max did with his sports. Max then decided to give this sword a present and express his feelings that way. He searched for it and realized the sword was NOT cheap. So he pitched in chores and begged everyone he knew for money. Willie was a big help, giving him money enough to get the sword delivered. The rest for the sword itself was assisted by a couple others such as nella and angry joe. He eventually bought it and after a week he got it. Today was the day to give it to him. Last night he wrapped it up in wrapping gift paper and had a note on it. It read

Leo. I know you love swords and ninjitsu. I found this and wanted to get it to you. Because you deserve to be happy. You always deserve to be happy. I hope this can show you how much I care about you. Sincerely, Max 

He then went to search for the turtle. He then managed to miss that there was water on the floor that one of the children spilled. He slipped onto it and collided with the wall, hurting himself and causing a very loud crash. Thankfully though the sword wasn't damaged and was on the nice carpet floor near by. Max replied to himself "Dang it max. Can't you not be clumsy for once in your life. Now leo's present is probably ruined"

[Leonardo]

Leonardo was busy drinking some tea trying to meditate. He stopped hearing a crash. He rushed over to Max pushing some package aside as he looked at Max.

"Max! Are you okay?!" said Leonardo.

He paused not sure if he should move him or not if he was hurt. He wasn't even sure if he was awake.

"Master Splinter! Mrs. Potts! Anyone!" said Leonardo.

He turned to go slipping on the same water and the package as he fell. And before he realized what he was doing he scooped Max into his arms landing on his back as Max was now on top of him. Leonardo was only focused on Max and trying not to focus on how nice it felt to be holding him like this. He felt himself blush slightly at the thought before focusing on Max.

"Please be okay." said Leonardo.

[Max Goof]

Max was awake but it didn't appear due to his face was a little in pain due to the crash. But he blushed as leonardo was so concerned about him, it felt nice to be protected. He was about to state he was fine when he went to go get help only for leo also to fall and collide in the process causing them both to be in the same spot, with leo holding him as he was on top. Max blushed brightly before looking over to leo who looked genuinely worried. Wanting to ease his fears, max smiled softly and hugged leonardo "Hey hey I'm fine. Just a little back ache" He then looked to leonardo and replied "Are you okay?"

He then widened his eyes as the present was nearby. It was fine on the inside, but the wrapping got damaged enough to reveal some of it. It peaked out through to show some metal. Max felt a bit defeated. His clumsiness once again ruined his perfect plan. He sighed "I'm sorry for scaring you leo. Really. I don't mean to be so dumb and clumsy. I was just trying to find you so I could give you this" He then got up and gently helped leonardo up. He then ashamedly gave leo the card and the present. He looked away, completely embarrassed that his surprise was ruined now. He sighed "Here. I got you this. Read the card first then look at the gift. And, leo, honestly if you hate it I'll trade it back. I don't mind"

[Leonardo]

Leo sighed in relief hearing he was ok.

"Good. That's good. I'm glad you're ok." said Leo.

He smiled.

"I'm good. The only thing hurting is my pride." said Leo.

Soon Max got up before helping him up as he saw the card and partially unwrapped present. As Leo read the card he was speechless. He saw the wrapping as he unwrapped it seeing the sword he'd been telling Raphael he'd wanted just a few days ago.

"This looks custom made. You did this all for me?" said Leo.

When Max started speaking again Leo leaned forward and on impulse was kissing Max. Before he realized what he was doing he was wrapping his arms around him keeping one hand still on the sword and the other on the card. He pulled back letting go of him grinning.

"This is incredible. This is the best thing I've ever gotten." said Leo.

It was then he realized what he just did and blushed.

"Sorry. Guess I got wrapped up in the moment but I like you too. And this sword. But I like it best because it came from you." said Leo.

[Max Goof]

Max wasn't exactly concerned with himself. He was embarrassed by his inherited clumsiness. He waited as Leo looked at the present while max explained he could trade it back. He nodded a little, a bit relieved that leonardo seemed to like the gift. So not a total loss. Then suddenly, leo got closer to him, kissing him and holding him close. Literally the best thing to happen to max since winning the college x games. No, even better. It ended a little too soon for max but it didn't matter as what came next was leonardo calling his gift the best he's ever gotten. Max was so entranced by the kiss he said absolutely nothing, a ditzy in love face showing on his features. He then tried to focus, wanting to hear what Leonardo had to say.

Leonardo then said he felt the same way. And that while he loved the sword, he loved it a bit more because it came from max. He beamed brightly "Really? You feel the same?" He then found himself a bit beside himself with joy and he allowed his own emotions to take over. He pulled leonardo into a hug again then gave him a kiss of his own. He then blushed, replying "Sorry. I just... I really wanted to tell you how I felt for a while" He then replied to leo "So, I guess this means that if you're up for it, we can date?"

[Leonardo]

Leo nodded.

"Yeah. I kinda had a crush on you the moment you walked in. I still think you have a nice smile." said? Leo.

He grinned returning Max's kiss.

"It's okay. I'm glad you feel the same way. I was thinking of how to ask you out but was afraid you'd say no. I mean people would normally want to date my brothers. Mikey's fun, the life of the party. Donny's so smart. And Raph well he's the cool guy. I guess I was always to focused on my training to think about romance. But everything changed when I met you. I feel like I just want to spend the whole day with you, just having fun and chatting., I don't remember the last time I did anything fun. I mean by choice. My brothers and my father try to talk me into having fun and sometimes have to drag me away from training. For the first time, I think I get what they mean about balance fun and training. I finally found someone worth it." said Leo.

He paused for a moment and sighed.

"I should warn you I probably will be overprotective at times over you. The more we know about each other the more like family you'll feel. If someone tried to attack you, I'd probably try to stop it. It wouldn't be because I didn't think you could handle it. I just couldn't see you get hurt. Not if I could stop it. I already got into a few fights with my family over that. So I hope you can put up with that." said Leo.

He paused realizing Max mentioned a date and he grinned.

"Yes. I' d like that. I have no idea what we'd do or where we'd go. But I'd love to go on a date with you." said Leo.

[Max Goof]

Max remembered that leo when they first met said he had a nice smile. Max blushed at that, genuinely not hiding his smile, unlike what he did last time. If Leonardo found his smile attractive, then maybe it was time max accepted that it was. He turned then replied with a chuckle "I still think blue is your color. Makes you look cute... And cool. Then again you're cute and cool period" He remembered his words and said it with a lot more confidence. He meant it too. He meant every word.

He then smiled a little as Leonardo expressed that HE was nervous of max. It made him feel a little less embarrassed, it was nice to see that Leonardo genuinely felt this way about him. He listened as Leo explained that for most of his life he was focused on his skills and improving them. That his brothers were more open to date than he was. At least at first. He then made a comment that he felt that he didn't really have a lot going for him. His brother Donny was smart, his brother mikey was fun and his brother raph was suave. Max pondered at that "Are you kidding? Who wouldn't want you? You're sweet, you care about others, you work hard, not to mention you're like handsome and charming. Anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot" Max smiled then feeling a bit glad he was allowed to express himself more now that the gates were finally open. He hoped it didn't annoy leo too much but at the same time he hoped leo enjoyed his praise.

He then listened as leo explained he was rather serious to the point where his own family insisted he have fun. He couldn't help but smile at that. It somewhat reminded him of his own dad and friends reminded him that he didn't really need to take things so seriously either, that sometimes the 'lamer' things could be fun overall too. He replied sweetly "I feel that way too leo. I wanna spend time with you, talk and do anything with you. You're worth it too" He then blushed as Leonardo's words of calling him worth it got to him. He felt truly flattered. Someone finally, genuinely wanted to spend time with him for him. This was everything max wanted.

"Dude. I can totally handle it. My dad is the most overprotective person you could meet. I think I can handle you being protective. As long as you can handle me losing my temper, especially if someone makes fun of you or something. I get angry kind of fast, it's cause I'm not the most patient person" Max admitted. He tended to lose his patience and get angry quite quickly, he wanted to warn leo of that. But maybe that was something leo was used to considering his interactions with raphael.

Max then replied when Leonardo admitted to not knowing what to do for a date but he was happy to have one. Max fist pumped a bit before blushing realizing Leonardo was still there. He then replied "Well I honestly don't know how to start either. But maybe we can have some takeout and a home video movie? I still got some cash on me and I can order some Chinese for us. Or maybe pizza?"

[Leonardo]

(ooc: I just have the mental image of Max teaching Leo how to ride a bike or skateboard.. Like Mikey may have tried and leo gave up. But Max asked him to so he might giveit another try . xd)

Leo grinned as Max smiled again.

"You think so? I've gotten so used to wearing the bandana that it feels weird not having it on." said Leo.

He blushed as Max called him cute and cool but couldn't help his grin grow.

"Thank you. I think you are as well." said Leo.

He paused for a moment at Max's words and smiled.

"You've put a lot of thought into this. I wish I could see myself like you do." said Leo.

Leo nodded.

"I look forward to every moment with you. Honestly, I was just thinking up excuses to see you before you got me this gift. Like offering to train you or just hanging out. I never thought you'd return my feelings but I did want to at least be friends with you. I'm glad we get to be both." said Leo.

Leo grinned.

"I'm glad you have your dad in your corner. I' ve got my father and my 3 brothers. Sometimes they can be a handful and annoying but I wouldn't trade my family for anything." said Leo.

His smile fell as he looked sad as he looked away for a moment.

"Being brainwashed and stuck in Facilier's army without my family was the worst nightmare. And then realizing I'd fought Raph, Mikey and Splinter. I may not have hurt them badly but I could have." said Leo.

His smile returned as he looked back at Max.

"I'm so glad to have them back in my life. Although you're going to be part of the family too. So you'll probably have my brothers, Splinter, and anyone they're dating looking after you just like me and Goofy will." said Leo.

Leo nodded.

"We should just make a promise that no matter what happens we talk to each other. If we're mad we blow off steam by training or something. Then talk to each other when we're calmer. I don't want either of us to stay something while we're mad. I've said things to my brothers especially Raph in the heat of the moment. Things I regret and I know are forgiven. But I wish I hadn't said them." said Leo.

Leo grinned.

"Can't go wrong with pizza. You got any suggestions on what to watch?" said Leo.

(OCC: Omg that's so cute. Maybe later in this thread we can make that part of this bonding plot lmao if only for a little bit. Also hope you don't mind the movie suggestion of mickey's three muskiteers. I'm happy to do most of the film if you don't know it)

"I really do like it. It's nice. But then again I like most things about you" Max replied sincerely, smiling a little as leo sincerely replied he felt the bandana was like a piece of him. Max could understand. He felt like his skateboard was a part of him, which was why a part of him was sad he lost it but thankfully he got a new one that felt like his old one. He gotten over it pretty quickly. Then again it was because he could never stop being a skater and he accepted that about himself. He then blushed himself as leo called him cool and cute in his own way. He tried to resist but he chuckled his inherited goofy chuckle before covering his mouth. He sighed blushing more "How can I be cool with a silly chuckle like that?"

"Well until you do I'm more than happy to remind you how much you mean to me" Max sincerely replied as leo expressed he wished he had the same ideals that max seemed to have. He then smiled wider as leo responded he made up stuff just to spend time with him. Max literally thought of ways to get out of things just to see leo. It was really thoughtful and flattering that leo, someone he viewed as wonderful, thought the same. He replied earnestly "Honestly Leo, if anything, this just makes things so much better. I'm glad things worked out for us too. And I'm totally excited to spend as much time as I can with you" He grinned more, feeling like a million dollars. He could dance but he didn't want to overexcite the situation more than it was already. This felt so right and perfect.

Then their families came up. Max smiled a bit at that. He was glad leo had his family here and considering what leo had told him prior. It was a great thing leo had returned to his family. Max smiled softly, missing his father a bit "Yeah. Your family seems honestly great. I'm glad they're here for you. At the same time though, I'm kind of relieved my dad's not here in the war but still..." His face got a little sad, thinking of all the bad times but also the good times he had with his father "I miss him. Sometimes I wish he was here" He then turned to leo smiling a bit "But I got you at least"

He then frowned some more as Leonardo looked sad. He knew some of leo's background thanks to previous conversations and dialogue from others. But he felt a pang of sadness as leo told him that he felt such sorrow and fear from being separated for so long. Thanks to being brainwashed from facilier, leo was separated and enslaved into a army he wasn't willingly a part of. The idea of being forced from family scared max. As annoying as goofy was, he would never dream of hurting his father. The burden was no doubt heavy on leo's head still. He went over, hugging leo tightly, giving him a sincere loving kiss of comfort, hoping that'd wipe the frown of leo's face. He replied "That was not your fault ok? I know that the what if you hurt them goes through your mind, but you didn't and that's what's important. And those nightmares you don't have to face alone anymore. I'm so glad your family is here but know that you can always talk to me if you want" He hoped he was a comfort to leo. That was all he wanted. Now that their feelings were in the open, he wanted leo to know max was in full support.

He then smiled more as leo mentioned his family would welcome him. Both he and leo came from fortunate backgrounds with relatively supportive families. While max had a feeling it was going to be a bit shocking, he also had faith his father would be accepting. And considering how close leo was with his father, he had a distinct feeling splinter would be similar. Which was only confirmed by leo's dialogue. He then beamed brightly "Being part of your family sounds like the best thing in the world. I always wanted brothers. And your dad's cool too"

"Sounds like a amazing plan to me. If we do fight we cool off then work it out. I don't wanna stay angry with you ever. I definitely don't wanna say things I regret either. So I'm more than happy to work whatever drama we have out. Cause I want this to work out leo. Honestly I do" There was also the fact that not communicating properly was the main reason he and his father had problems in the first place. Max had spent so much time as a teenager being so focused on his anger he never really understood all his father wanted was to talk things out. And the reason the trip was as chaotic as it was, was due to max's lack of just telling his father the truth. And college was difficult thanks to goofy being forced out of plans. Max learned from his mistakes. He was going to become much better for leo. Because he cared so much. And he was falling for leo.

Max was about to answer about the movie but then pondered. He shrugged "Let me see what's in the basement. There's plenty of movies down there" He then took leo's hand, leading him down there. He then looked in the movie cabinet and then saw a few dvds. He then muttered "Let's see. Brother bear, nah, terminator 2 nah, adventures of sharkboy and lavagirl nah... Hey wait a second!" He then saw a dvd with his father on the cover. He also saw his uncle Donald and mickey beside him. The movie stated Mickey, Donald and Goofy in The Three Muskiteers

"Wait, my dad told me about this!" Max was surprised. Although his father told him many things, he never really got the entire story. He then turned to leo before looking at this pondering "I can't help but be totally curious about this. Maybe we can watch this first? Then we can pick a movie you want afterwards?" He then blushed a bit, feeling insecure "But if you don't want I can watch this some other time"

[Leonardo]

Leonardo grinned.

"Well, thanks. Although if you know that much about me already then you must have talked with my brothers." said Leo.

He shook his head.

"A laugh doesn't have to be cool. It makes you unique. And honestly, if someone has a cool laugh it's probably a fake one they made up." said Leonardo.

Leo chuckled.

"I look forward to the reminders." said Leo.

Leo nodded.

"Then we don't have to worry about planning other things to be together. We can just be together and that's the best plan of all." said Leo.

Leo smiled.

"Well the rate this war's going he could show up. You never know. Guess I'll have to show him I'm in love with you and gain his approval." said Leo.

Leo nodded.

"Just like my brothers boyfriends were welcomed so will you." said Leo.

Leo grinned.

"And so do I. Then when we have a problem we talk it out. But if we're too angry then we take a break. Not from each other. Just from the fight. We don't want to say anything we'll regret later. No matter how mad I get I don't want to hurt you." said Leo.

Leo was surprised as Max pulled in the Three Musketeers film.

"Sure. This could be fun. Although seeing a film about your dad will be interesting. It'd be kind of like time travel like meeting your dad before you were born." said Leo.

He shrugged.

"I don't really have a preference for movies so you could pick the next one and I'm sure I'd like it." said Leo.

(ooc: and now I just picture a max/goofy thread after this. with max upset that Pete, Clarabelle, and the beagle boys nearly killed mickey, Donald and goofy repeatedly through the movie but especially goofy and mickey nearly drowning at the end of the film. like maybe some things click or something like goofy being nervous around water but still going in to be near max. stuff like that.)
