Why did you pick him/her?: We need more Planteers. And to thread with Wheeler and Ma-Ti.

Personality:She is protective of her teammates and family. When her cousin got involved in one of Skumm's schemes she tried to help him but got drugged. Despite stopping Skumm it didn't save her cousin. She's blamed herself for this ever since. She has a crush on Wheeler but never acted upon it afraid of ruining their friendship. She's flirted with Wheeler and kissed him a couple times but never did anything else beyond that. She loves animals and her favorite is birds. Being Russian she sometimes spouts Russian phrases or words confusing people including her friends which she has to translate.
She can be impulsive being the second planeteer to end caught most after Ma-Ti. Sometimes even with some of the entire team. She doesn't always understand English words sometimes saying the wrong thing and being corrected for it later. She is quite smart and a computer hacker as well. She often analyzes data and samples to help them solve problems when she can.
History:
Linka grew up in the Soviet Union. Her mother died when she was very young so she grew up with her father, brother, grandmother, uncle and cousin Borirs. Boris and his family eventually moved away to seek a better life away from the mines but Linka still kept in touch with her cousin. Her father worked in the mines and they used birds to test how safe they were. And some died due to pollution over the years which made her sad. Her family tried to ease her suffering by saying they saved many human lives but Linka didn't want anyone to suffer.
Several years later as a teenager a bird brought her the Planteteer Ring of Wind. When she put it on she was brought to Hope Island with four other teens from around the world. Kwame, Wheeler, Gi and Ma-Ti. Once learning of the threat to the planet she agreed to join the team. And she learned her ring gave her the limited power of the wind. And combined with the other rings could summon Captain Planet. Over the years they defeated many eco villains putting them in jail or causing them to retreat. But villains usually broke out or got good enough lawyers to get them out of jail.
One day Ma-Ti disappeared and that's when their real troubles began. The eco villains banded together and gathered them together. They were all tortured and Gi began blaming Ma-Ti' and his disappearance for all this. She felt guilty for trying to drown out Gi's screams. Gi and Wheeler had seemed to suffer the most. Scumm often taunted her about her cousin to anger. But their rings were locked away and without Ma-Ti and Captain Planet there was only so much they could do. Not even Gaia could help them as she was only a spirit. Then one day Gi and Duke Nukem both disappeared. From what she heard from the others they all assumed he'd gone off on his own and took Gi with him. Or she'd escaped and Nukem had gone after her. Either way it only left them three planeteers. But then Wheeler disappeared leaving only her and Kwame.
And that's when her real horror began. Dr,.Blight had dragged Kwame off somewhere and that was the last she saw of him. Skumm decided to her horror he was going to torture her before giving her some bliss. He'd recreated some and thought she'd like to have it for some old times. She managed to break free and escaped. But as she did she learned Kwame had escaped as well. Hoping to one day reunite with her friends she maanged to find her ring in an open safe. She guessed Wheeler, Gi, or Kwame had opened it as only her ring remained. But as she put it on she found herself disappearing and she ended up in another world with a war going on. Once there she'd join Critic's army and learn Wheeler and Ma-Ti were here. Gi was in Facilier's army, and Duke Nukem and another Ma-Ti were in Ask That Guy's army. And Gi and the other Ma-Ti were as evil as the evo villains they'd used to face. She pitied them both but there wasn't anything she could for them now. She just hoped Kwame was alright, wherever he was.
