Name: Mickey Mouse
Age: 34
Where is this character from?: Disney Properties, particularly the fun and fancy free/three musketeers canon. I'm combining the two with some of my own canon to make it as if he knows willie but also is a musketeer.
Why did you pick him/her?: Lots of reasons. To have a friend for willie and to mainly play this character cause I adore him.
Picture:
Personality:
Mickey is a immensely passionate, loyal, adventurous, happy-go-lucky spirit. He tends to take the leader role despite his relatively short size, this is partly due to his determination and confidence. Despite certain insecurities, he does have a good balance of ego, not too humble but not too arrogant. He is brave, immensely willing to risk his life for the sake of others. He has a extreme love and loyalty to those he cares about most, he has a bit of a mischievous side to him as well but it's relatively harmless. Because of his brave nature, he might sometimes tend to be a bit too idealistic, sometimes he might even get a bit impulsive. He also tends to push himself far harder than needed, going so far as to expect a lot out of himself
History:
Mickey was born in paris but his parents' history is unknown, as mickey was found by the orphanage as a baby. He was taken in by the american owner as if he was his own and was raised overall comfortably to the best of the adult's ability. Not long after that he befriended Donald and goofy, who both lived nearby. However due to both goofy and Donald's parents being too busy and a bit poor, Donald and goofy spent much time with mickey. Despite mickey's guardian and both goofy and Donald's parents efforts to help the three, mickey, donald and goofy were poor and sometimes had to work jobs in order to get a meal. One such outing they were attacked by robbers for their money, thankfully musketeers of the guard managed to rescue them and give them their money. One musketeer gave mickey his hat, something of which would be a hallmark in mickey's life. From that day on, alongside donald and goofy, he dreamed of being a musketeer of the royal palace. Due to his poor background, he was not given an opportunity quite yet as the years passed. He did however manage a different royal job, a royal custodian. Mickey, donald and goofy were well-meaning but clumsy hence their boss captain pete looking down on them and criticizing their dream. He declared donald too cowardly, goofy too stupid and mickey was just too short. However, strangely, after a few days pete came back promising they were now musketeers.
Mickey, despite himself, was too excited for the chance and realized he was now one of the bodyguards of the beautiful princess, Minnie. He was very determined for his job but he felt as if butterflies were in his stomach at the sight of her. He naturally fell in love with the princess, which made the job more frightening as she got captured not once, but twice. The first time he and goofy managed to succeed saving them, but the second time was far more difficult. As he was cornered, betrayed and captured by pete and sent to a abandoned castle that had a bad tide problem. Due to his length, it was most likely a death sentence by drowning. Were it not for goofy and donald, he would've definitely drowned. He came back with the two to save princess minnie and her lady-in-waiting Daisy. And he proceeded with a romance with the princess, that was slightly public, but many commoners and rich people alike did not approve of their romance. Not wanting to have minnie deal with the stress, he suggested they continue their relationship in secret. Minnie claimed to not care of the public scrutiny, it was her choice in the end who she would marry. But mickey insisted to protect her crown and her reputation, he still loved her more than anything but being secret would be easier publicly. At least for the time being. Minnie eventually agreed and the two continued their romance, but they were not so public with it this time. Mickey proceeded to live in a little cottage alongside goofy and donald, and he decided to make up with the secrecy by giving minnie a present.
A harp. A talking harp. That could sing. It was a perfect gift for his princess. He did give it to her and for a time things were even more successful, as her singing caused crops to grow fast, food to supply and water flourished. However one day a great giant grabbed her and the land perished. Mickey starved, feeling he was back to his difficult childhood but he kept his spirits. He eventually sold their cow betsy and gave it to minnie, knowing very well she would take it and give him some of her food in return, who in turn had a old family heirloom of magic beans. Minnie explained this would help him find the culprit of the harp's disappearance. He went to try to explain this to donald and goofy, but in donald's rage he threw the beans away. Eventually though they did travel to a giant's castle where they saw the harp and met willie. Willie was sweet but very, very misguided, and a bit selfish. Mickey tried to trick him but failed, however the harp sang him to sleep and mickey managed to steal the harp back. Leading to a chase with the giant which lead to the cutting of the vine, due to their panic willie was going to kill them. But it turned out willie just got a slight back pain and was trying to grab the harp simply because he had sleeping problems.
This lead to a talk. A nice, surprisingly mature conversation that while willie was justified in wanting the harp, he had to understand the land was suffering for it. Willie was apologetic and even went out of his way to make up for his crime by using his magic to help. This lead mickey and him being pretty decent friends, this event also caused him to realize he and Minnie's time together was precious and should not be wasted by rules, traditions and nonsense. Not long after this event, he proposed to her and she of course accepted. They got married, making Mickey king of france with Minnie as he beloved queen. He helped her rule the kingdom, keeping in touch with all his friends who all had lives of their own. One day willie disappeared. Mickey awoke to find himself in Chicago alone, he agreed to help willie and help if any of his friends and loved ones all appeared here.
