Where is this character from? The Rescuers/The Rescuers Down Under/House of Mouse
Why did you pick him/her?: One of my favorite characters. I haven't played him in awhile. Be fun to play him again.

Personality: Serious, alert, superstitious, triskaidekaphobic, shy, brave, friendly, heroic, selfless, romantic at heart. He had a crush on Bianca and only after working missions with her did his feelings grow.
History:
Bernard had a relatively normal childhood. As an adult he got a job as a janitor for the Rescue Aid Society. He heard of their adventures living vicariously through them without putting himself in danger. Miss Bianca was one of the few who was nice to him and he developed a crush on her. But it seemed many of the society members found her attractive as well but she wasn't interested in any of them. One day a message in a bottle came to them of a girl in the Devil's Bayou needing help. Miss Bianca volunteered to go and chose Bernard as his partner. Bernard was shocked. He was a janitor not a member but she wouldn't say no so he reluctantly agreed to come along.
They went to the orphanage for clues and met Rufus the Cat. She told them of Medusa offered to give penny a ride shortly before she disappeared. And that medusa owned a pawnshop nearby. Bernard & Bianca made it there and learned Medusa had sent Penny to the Devil's Bayou to find a diamond. They tried stowing away but fell out of her car and made their own way there on an albatross named Orville. They are shot at by fireworks while arriving and they end up in the water. They are helped by Luke ane Ellie Mae. They spot Penny being taken by Brutus and Nero to an abandoned riverboat after her latest escape attempt. Evinrude takes Bernard & Bianca there on a leaf boat and he uses his wings like a motorboat to get them there.
Once there they learn Medusa is trying to get Penny to get the Devil's eye diamond from a small cave. Medusa & Snoops are too big to get inside but Penny's just the right size. Penny's never been able to find the diamond. They are chased away by the crocodiles who spot them. Medusa & snoops fire on them but they manage to get away. They escape with help from Evinrude and find Penny. They make a plan to escape. Use fireworks as a destraction and escape on Medusa's swamp mobile. Bernard sends Evinrude for Luke and Ellie's Mae's help.
When Penny is sent back down the hole for the diamond, Bernard & Bianca stow away to help her. They mange to retrieve the diamond as the cave begins filling with water. They manage to make it out barely as she gives it to Medusa. Medusa steals Penny's teddy bear hiding the diamond within it planning to use it to smuggle it back to her pawnshop out of state. Luke, Ellie Mae and their friends arrive and together they put their plan into motion. Penny steals her teddy bear including the diamond as the fi reworks are set off. They escape on the swamp mobile. Medusa uses Brutus & Nero as skiis trying to get the diamond back using a whip to attack it to the the swamp mobile. It breaks causing her to crash into her river boat and the crocodiles turn on her angry at how she just treated them. Snoops laughs as he gets away while the others head back to New York. Penny hands the diamond over to local museum and is adopted. She thanks Bernard & Bianca, the talking mice who helped her. The adults don't believe her about the mice thinking she's making it up but Bernard and Bianca and the rest of the society are amused .
A few months later the two mice have gotten closer. Bernanrd tries to propose to Bianca at a restaraunt and loses the ring. He finds the ring but is interrupted before he can propose as Bianca mentions a new rescu4e and they take the case. A boy named Cody was kidnapped by a poacher who wants an eagle. He's already killed on eagle and now wants it mate and their eggs. Bernard & Bianca go to get a flight but find Orville gone and his brother Wilbur took over. Wilbur flies them to Australia but eventually sleep in a plane to go faster. They land on a runway that's too small injuring Wilbur who ends up going to a local mouse hospital while Jake takes Bernard and Bianca to go rescue Cody.
Along the way they run into a snake name Twister that Jake tames. Bianca & Jake ride on his head while Bernard sits on the back. Jake is impressing Bianca while Bernarnd is jealous and resentful of Jake. They later travel through the Outback on fireflies.
The next morning t he trio arrive at McLeach's hideout. They try to get in but McLeach throws Cody out. He tells him Marahute's dead and the eggs are alone. He hopes to trick Cody into leading him to the next and Marahute. He follows Cody after the next. The three mice follow as well. They try to warn Cody but Marahute and McLeach show up and Marahute, Cody, Bianca and Jake are captured. Bernard hides Marahute's eggs from the lizard and puts eggs in theire place managing to fool Joanna. Bernard stays to watch the eggs until Wilbur shows up and Bernard talks him to watching over them. He gets a ride from a rarzorback he tames copying what Jake did with Twister. He reaches McLeach's truck and steals the keys handing them to Jake and Bianca. Joanna chases Bernard while McLeach has planning to loweer Cody into alligator infested waters and fals in. Bernard hangs onto the rope while pushig Joanna and McLeach into the water. McLeach swims from the alligators and then falls off the waterfall to his death. Bernard holds onto the rope and just as he and Cody are about to go off they are saved by Jake, Bianca and Marahhute. Cody thanks everyone for saving him. Bernarnd proposed to Bianca which Jake approves and is impressed by. They head back to Cody's house and Bernard later marries Bianca. One day he ends up in another world and reluctantly joins Ask That Guy's Army after finding Cody is there.
