Why did you pick him/her?: fun werecat and underrated villain. plus another scooby doo villain.

Personality: He is a Cajun native of New Orleans and speaks in a Cajun accent. He was friendly to the gang when they first arrived helping keep them safe from crocodiles. Once it was revealed he was a werecat he no longer tried to be nice. He become close with Simone and Lena gaining their trust enough to become a werecat. He developed a crush on Simone but never acted on it. He considered her a lady and was afraid she'd likely reject him. So he never acted on his feelings.
History:
He grew up in a village near New Orleans. His father was a fisherman and bought a boat while he was a child. His father taught him how to sail and fish as it became a nice bonding exercise. His father had a crew of fishermen that helped him as well. Unfortunately, Mr DuPont was washed over in a storm saving the crew when Jacques was sixteen. He'd stayed behind to help his mother that day but ever since felt guilty he wasn't there to help save his father. His mother became ill and died a few days later despite the doctors best efforts. In debt, he sold his father's boat, his home and most of his parent's things and his own keeping a few as mementoes. He moved in with some friends.
As the years passed he earned enough money to buy his father's boat back and much of his family's possessions. Some had been melted down for gold or sold. It took him more almost 5 years to do it but he succeeded. He left the village promising to stay in touch with his old friends taking his boat and his family treasures and going to New Orleans. No one knew him there so he could start fresh and fish there.
As the years past he grew older and was unable to fish on his own. At 51 when he sprained his leg on a dangerous fishing trip, he knew it was time to retire. He hauled his last catch in while reluctantly relaxing as his leg healed. Afterwards, he turned his boat into a ferry boat around the area including Moonscar Island. And in doing so he met Simone and Lena during a trip to Moonscar Island. He saved Simone and Lena from a zombie attack, getting them back to the safety of the mansion. Earning their trust and when he learned what had happened he didn't feel sorry for the pirates who had killed many of their friends and family. And the rest he felt some sympathy for but he soon began to see it their way. Some were soldiers who were likely going to die anyway and others no one would miss. To his surprise, they'd offered him a chance to be immortal and he accepted. And he helped them for many years stay alive while luring others to their fate.
One group would be different and if he'd known they'd have brought about their end he wouldn't have brought them to Moonscar in the first place. Mystery Inc. and the gardener Beau Neville made their way onto the island. He helped them on separate trips to the island. Beau had been there longer than the others. Beau, Velma and the rest soon discovered the secrets of the island. The ghosts, zombies and the cat creatures. Jacques was one of those cat creatures now and attacked Shaggy and Scooby while Simone and Lena attacked the rest in an attempt to drain them. Jacques almost drained Shaggy and Scooby but he was interrupted by zombies. He reunited with Simone and Lena in an attempt to drain them but they rain out of time and were killed. Or so everyone thought.
One day Jacques found himself in a new world and younger. The one thing he'd disliked about being a cat creature was he hadn't gained any youth. But it appeared whatever had revived him had made him younger. Or it was the partial drain of Shaggy and Scooby. They'd never drained animals as far as he knew. Either way he soon joined Ask That Guy's Army and reunited with Simone and Lena. And he was still very shy around Simone trying to do what he could to make her happy. Never even considering the idea she might like him one day.
