Where is this character from? The Little Mermaid film/series.
Why did you pick him/her?: need more villainesses and she's one of my favorites. haven't played her in a while and thought it'd be fun.

History:
Ursula had a normal childhood being the favorite child of her mother. She had a sibling rivalry with her younger sister Morgana. When she grew up they no longer lived together. Ursula gained a job in the palace and had a lot of fun there. Enjoying the food and luxury of the palace. She tried to take over the kingdom but failed. She was banished from the palace and in her exile, she plotted her revenge. Through the years she gained power trapping mermaids as polyps after they failed her deals as well as gaining magical items through various means as well.
One day she sent Flotsam and Jetsom to lead a sixteen-year-old Ariel to her. She offered her the deal to turn her human for three days in exchange for her voice. Ariel is hesitant but Ursula manages to convince her and the deal is made. A mute ariel gains legs and is taken to shore by Flounder and Sebastian. Ursula watches her progress on her orb and Flotsam and Jetsom capsize the boat on their second night together before they could kiss. Ursula is pleased they stopped it but is furious Ariel came so close to ruining her plans. Ursula uses her magic to turn into a human form, Vanessa and is able to use Ariel's voice to disguise her own.
Once on shore, she hypnotizes Eric by using Ariel's singing voice and her magic. Eric tells Grimbsy he is going to marry her. Ariel overhears and is heartbroken. Later as Vanessa is on the wedding ship getting ready in her room she sings her plans of taking over the ocean as her reflection reveals she's Ursula as Scuttle sees and overhears. He warns Ariel, Scuttle and Flounder as Flounder takes Ariel to the ship while Scuttle gets help. Sebastian goes to get Triton. Ariel makes it on the ship and with her friends help breaks the necklace restoring her voice to her and breaking the spell over Eric. Unfortunately, the sun sets as Ariel turns back into a mermaid. Vanessa cheers in triumph transforming back into Ursula and taking Ariel under the sea with her. Eric goes after in a rowboat trying to rescue Ariel.
Meanwhile, below the seas, Triton and Sebastian show up to save Ariel. Ursula reveals the contract is unbreakable even after Triton tries to destroy it. She convinces him to exchange himself for Ariel as Triton is turned into a polyp and Ariel is set free. Ursula takes the crown becoming queen of the oceans. Ariel furious attacks her along with Eric and in the fight Flotsam and Jetsom are killed. Furious Ursula grows gigantic blasting at Ariel with the trident. Eric uses a sunken ship that was brought up and stabs Ursula in the chest. She dies and explodes in a blast of magic. Her victims including Triton are restored as the seas are calm once more. Ursula suddenly wakes up in another world on land and in her human form of Vanessa. She is confused as she finds herself at a circus but after learning more agrees to join Facilier's army.
